Patti shows you how to cut dirty bangs with your wig on. Always wear safety glasses when cutting near your eyes! Patti is working on Alia by Jon Renau. Wig featured is Petite Alia by Jon Renau in FS26/31

Hi guys this is patty, as you know, so many of you have written me to V and to ginger and to me asking me to show you again how to cut a dirty bang. That was one of our favorite videos, if you remember, but none other Chandler can, but, as you would in your bathroom when you get the whip to put it on and you want to cut back. So that's what I'm going to show you today. This particular rig is called a layup it's by genre. No, it's a petite and it's in caramel syrup 26, FS, 26, /, 31 caramel syrup. It'S a beautiful, beautiful color! I'M going to put this on for you and we're going to look how to touch very bangs. Big now I'm just putting it on putting my lace top where it needs to go, remember four fingers and hold it and then press get my triple cab straight, get it to the nape right here where my off suitable is now it's pretty good on now. The next thing I want you to do is I want you to get your comb and bring your little scissors and all that into the bathroom, get next to the sink, and you can lean over like this, and you can get a really good look at what You'Re going to cut this, of course, if I brush it, if you comb it straight back, is long bangs, but we want to do dirty things. So the first thing I'm going to do is calm down a few like this and see how thick it is. Then I'm going to find my ear tab right there to point. I'M going to pull this hair back at that point. Find this ear can't pull this hair back now. This isn't your final measurement Pacific, clear out the rest of the hair, so you can really see what you're doing okay. Now I got all this in front and that's really too much so, let's just go here to middle my eyebrow here to the middle of my eyebrow and let's see where we are guys. So it's here - and here I took my comb straight down middle, my eyebrow straight down middle my brow. Now I'm going to look in the mirror and see where we are love? Okay, if you pull it straight down nice task - and you see this sides just a little bit thicker - they are fuller this way, so I'm going to go and try to match it. Always when you pull your hair down into the bag, you're always going to keep this nice and tight. Now I'm going to comb that long thing, and I think that looks pretty darn good, so I think that it looks pretty even let me live in there yeah. I think it looks pretty easy, so here's the baby, it is head, we're going to do you comb it film it film it combing is as much a part of cutting as cutting it. Then I want you to get your good scissors now. This is the cheese you pull it down and take your time. You know, I don't think the armies at the front door, yet there are coming but they're, not there yet baby. Okay, now here's the key base, you pull it down straight. That'S why I comb - and I comb then twist you see that one twist and can you see it really carefully? I see it in the mirror, then I'm going to hold it. You can go to the tip of your nose, but I know her they're a little shorter, I'm going about the middle of my nose and they're looking in there straight now. What happens because of that twist do? Is it's got to stop it? What happens because of a twist pumping, zip site member goes down a little bit here. We are, are there ones in the center? And here we are there now, did you need them a little poofy? Yes, so we're going to take the steamer - and I take my comb and go like that - you can even just go like this and you get it see. I want it to be low on the sides like that, and I want those black coal eyes. Okay, are these too long for you, then I want you to take the scissors and we're going to chip. This is how you chip I yeah. This is what I hold my scissors and the like this chip chip chip chip. Can you see it guys, I'm looking in the mirror? I go this way that way this way, this way. That way that way, because we want to be dirty, we want to be a mess. Let'S see, this is really bad babe and if it's too long keep chipping our that's, how I eventually not to get it, can you do that? There'S your Aliyah and your should your new bed have great day

Maiden of Mayhem: Oh my goodness! If you aren't the sweetest cutest woman EVER! I've learned so much from you and I haven't even watched that many of your videos yet! I'm subbing, liking and thanking you for taking the time to make these tutorials! If I look half as hot as you do after fixin my hair, there may be hope for me yet! Losing my hair was the hardest thing for me to ever have gone thru...I was really feeling like it would have just been so much easier to have lost my life! My hair was my thing! Now a days, I'm so disappointed I didn't discover wigs sooner! Do you know how many times I just didn't feel like getting up an hour earlier to do my hair? All that time wasted where I could've had a cute unit tucked away to throw on n go! What was I thinking? Thanks again!

Sandi Newton: It’s obvious you’re a hairstylist, and it’s wonderful that you give us tips on styling and reshaping, in some cases, our wigs to personalize them. Most stylists would stress to not try this at home. Thanks so much!

Linda Swoveland: Great teaching...big help to me. Why pay a stylist when I can do a perfectly good job myself. TFS I appreciate your tutorials so much! Keep it up...

Marlene Olson: Thank you for this great video! I just got my very first lace front wig today (Micki by Envy in Amaretto & Cream). It is gorgeous - love the color and the highlights. There is a natural side part but some of the hairs are bugging me - going in my eyes. So I want very light, wispy bangs and I think this technique will work for what I want. Your videos are always so helpful and upbeat. Thank you for that!! ❤️❤️

Melinda Buchanan: I couldn't love you more <3 You inspire me ... I've just started wearing a wig after 20 years of wearing headscarves to hide hair loss and you've made wig wearing so approachable and I feel so empowered watching your confidence!

Katie D: Thank you for this video! You make me feel at ease with the idea of cutting bangs. I am sure I’ll be able to buy a wig now without bangs and be able to cut them in. I love your personality. It makes watching it so much more fun.

Antonia Hynes: I just love you! You are the sweetest woman! Thank you for doing these videos. I've been losing my hair the last 3 years due to illness. I still feel like a fumbling fool when it comes to wearing my wigs so I continually refer back to your videos. Thank you. I need to learn how to style bangs into a wig without bangs. God bless you dear. ❤

Edie Wall: Excellent!!! I alredy have an appointement with my hairdresser to color biohair. I will also have him cut bangs for my storyville ( my first wig) . Dirty bangs , as you call them, are what I hav always worn and am the most comfortable with. And I like the poof or fullness of bangs too. Great video.

Dori Johnson: I love your videos as, so far, your the only one that styles the wig exactly the way I would like it. Other videos also give good reviews but the way they play with them is always too flat or too fluffed up for me. Yours are just right because I can see that it is possible to get them to look the way I would want them to look. I just ordered my first two wigs and the first thing I'll do is watch your reviews on them again and let you baby step through the styling process. I am no stylist, but you make it look so easy. Thanks Patti!!!!

Jenny BK: You are so beautiful and very sweet. I'm so thrilled I found you. I'm bingeing on your videos as I cut my sad cosplay wigs. I went to a local wig boutique and was shown a nice synthetic for $350... I can't afford that. I love changing my look and love long wigs however I love short too like 12 inches. When these 22 to 28 inches start to show damage (usually after 2 - 6 uses) I cut. Well I'm arthritic too and spend hours I mean I blister cutting them. I'm practicing right now on a $14 wig. You're just such a delight and I've shared your videos with all my friends who love wigs. So I'm wondering where I can get a human hair wig shirt that won't be too expensive if you could help me?

NDtea: That Alia is darling with the bangs cut in! Thank you for this tutorial

Cécile Beaudry: Hi Patti, I'm watching you and I'm enjoy to see the way you work...! I' wonder if I can order wig and how much it would cost me in US money for a Jon Renau « Martini» color white without, roots is it possible? My hair are white and I don't want dark roots. Renee Babes: You are the best!!!!

can am: Lol...pumpkin! Looks really nice!

Donna: Your wonderful. I agree with the comment below mine. Now, I have the Paige and you know how it curls at the ends??...do you think I could take my steamer and have it go down? I just don't like the side flips ON ME??

Dawn Cadwell: Patti which wig is behind you on the table on your left side? Longer one, maybe dark red with little bangs?

Cristina Hamilton: Patti I don't understand how you can comb through that hair so easily. I have 4 Renau pieces and I can barely pull the Renau comb through...forget trying a finer tooth comb like the one you used. Anyway, I think Alia with bangs is my dream wig! You did a great job demonstrating and you look adorable in it.

Gothic Utau: shes so cute! but the bangs look very uneven and kinda crooked/choppy to me (n_n")

Anna Pittin: You are bellissima!

Nicole Wyatt: I love u. I want u to be my grandma. Ur kookie like me and i hope im still like that at ur age and with hair that good. I have a pixie cut and im trying to get back into the hair life for the look. But its hard because not much hair feels so wonderful. No tickle down my back and pulling when i lay down. I can rave about the freedom of no hair for ever but thanks for easiest possible transition back to hair.
