Hey guys, so, let's jump right into this video, I'm going to show you how I make my Shelley quick wig, the Shelley, quick wig is basically a quick weave unit that is available and I love posh collection.com. This is also something that you can make at home. It'S pretty simple: if you have any type of hair, styling skills, all you need is a mannequin head, a plastic cap, a mesh cap and two bundles of 14-inch Andy and cashmere curly hair. So what I'm doing now is just making my measurements for my bangs. So what I typically do is I put my first track in from Temple to Temple, just to create the fullness on the bottom up to the crown area. Now, the reason why you need a plastic cap for a quick wig unit is because you want to make sure that you are not getting glue on your canvas head. So the plastic cap is to protect the canvas hair and to keep the unit from sticking to the canvas head. While you are constructing it. So my quick wit units come in a standard size, 22 inch and the average head is about 21 and a half. You may get some smaller heads that are like 21 inch, even a 20 inch every now, and then that's someone with the super small head, but because the mesh cap has elastic all the way around this cap can expand so pretty much any head size. So the bundle that you see me gluing in now none of this hair will be used for my bang. As you can see, I put pins on both sides of the canvas head near the simple areas, and that is where I am stopping these tracks, because this particular bundle will not be in my bang, this hair that I'm putting and will strictly be used to frame The sides of the face and the back of the head so now I am on my second bundle and this bundle will be used to fill in the top of my quick wit unit and the bank area. So it's really complicated to say how close or far apart you should put the tracks in order not to run out of hair, because it's just something that you eventually just can i, when you have been making wigs over the years, but I will just say, put The tracks as close as possible, without them overlapping each other, maybe leave a little bit of space in between just to make sure you don't run out of here, oh and also be sure to split that. Second, bundle that helps your unit lay nice and flat because if you put a full bundle on the top, not only will you possibly run out of here, but it will be kind of bulky on the top so be sure to split that second bundle up here. Now, as you close your circle on the top, that's when you want to put the tracks closer together, you do not want that space in the hair, because you won't have enough tracks overlapping it to cover up that track. So the closer you are getting to closing up your circle, make sure you put the tracks closer together. So I construct this unit two different ways. One is with the 4x4 closure so that eliminates having to create this closed circle. Look on the top, but on this particular video, I'm gon na show you guys how to create your closure by kind of hand, making a small piece of hair and creating a closure with that. And this is less expensive than having to purchase the closure and put the closure on the top of the unit. So all I basically did was applied a small amount of hair glue. Now I'm just rolling the piece together very tightly and then I'm going to blow-dry it to make sure the glue is as dry as I possibly can get it because you don't want it like squishing out once you are ready to put it into your small hole. Piece on the unit and then I'm just going to open it up and flat iron, it nice and flat, and then glue it onto my unit so guys. This is how we created our closures before lace closures became so popular and with this particular unit, because this is a full curly style really using a lace. Closure is an option. Cuz you're really not gon na see it once you tease the hair and backcomb it to get it that full look. You won't even be able to see the lace closure so because we cut so many tracks, you want to make sure you go through and brush your unit thoroughly to get any loose hairs out of your wig unit. Now I'm just going to measure out my bang cut it the length that I want it taper out my sides and then this wig unit is all set. So here she is guys this is Shelly and she is available in store at posh collection as well as online at I love, posh collection, calm, be sure to follow me on IG at mad about Michi, and I hope you guys enjoyed this video. Thank you and see you soon. Oh
