I've gotten a lot of questions about how I style my bangs, so here YA GOOOOOO. Literally the easiest thing ever!

My house is an actual cosplay tornado, but it's not my fault, all right, hey hello. So ever since I cut my bangs, which was a pretty impulsive decision, but, let's be honest, is cutting your bangs ever actually planned. I'Ve been getting a lot of questions on how I style them, so I thought I would do a little video on it and, quite honestly, is the easiest thing ever so I almost feel a little guilty, making a whole video dedicated to it, but you guys have Had some questions, I'm sure I can guarantee you by the end of this video you're gon na, be like oh, that's it so starting off. I think I'll just show you how I cut them first, because they're due for a trim anyways, if I could find my scissors, don't mind my randomly crimped mid-2000 using McGuire hair, I had mini milkmaid braids in so okay, so it's starting off pretty much just if You had told little emo eighth-grade Rachel, that she'd be doing a bangs tutorial video one day. She would have put her headphones back on and blared My Chemical Romance until she couldn't hear you anymore. I cut them kind of a little bit past my eyes, and for this I don't think it matters. I happen to have these thinning shears, just because I didn't want a harsh edge and I've never been able to cut hair with normal scissors without that happening. So I think that these that gave me a little bit of a better chance back when I had side bangs, I would just use a razor. So what I like to do is kind of angle. It a little contemporary good job, but that was the idea behind it a little bit before my ear. Almost it's easy is that I don't really care too much about precision only because I know for the most part when you see these bangs they're gon na be curled, so it almost doesn't matter if the cut is nice-looking or not. I think I cut a little bit too much about that one. Ah I'll just cut this one to match famous last words of anyone cutting bangs ever they don't necessarily match, but I don't think it matters all that much so yeah that is them so now for styling, basically just take that all the bangs and I'm gon na Use foam rollers because that's just how I curl my hair, but you could also just use a curling iron and just kind of pin it up there. So with my foam rollers, I use a setting lotion. This is motions, foaming, wrap and you basically just coat this on there and then wrap this around that you're. Looking really good, yeah, basically you're, just gon na leave these in until they dry. I usually just do it overnight, so I don't have to worry about. If I gave it enough time or not, but if your hair dries quick, you could just do this in the morning and then take it out in the afternoon, because it's not that much hair. So it shouldn't take that much time for it to dry. We will see what these look like when they dry, I'm also gon na curl the rest of my hair, just because I think the bangs look cuter when my whole head is curling. So I'll see you tomorrow we're back and I missed a little bit so now that the rest of my hair is all brushed out. We can take out the bangs, so it's quite as simple as taking out the roller wow and then taking my brush. Are you not underwhelming? I told you, it was very easy. I do think I trim them and just a teensy bit too short. I mean they'll be back to normal in like less than a week, so I'm not too worried about it. That'S my bangs and now you're ready to leave the Shire for an adventure or stick it to Bembridge scholars, deny mr. Darcy's affections the first time or avenge the death of your father, so versatile yeah. I don't know that. That'S it uh-huh! I don't do anything fancy. It'S just it literally takes me about five minutes, all together, they're messy and wild, and they don't really listen to anyone but themselves. That'S how I like them. I know this video was short and sweet, but I hope that you guys at least enjoyed watching and if you have bangs, then maybe you found this a little helpful, yeah anyways. I love you guys with your new rules of this channel. If you're new here and you feel like sticking around, feel free to subscribe, I upload twice a week and we have fun here and I'll see you guys in the next video bye. So hmm yep. If the cut, Oh God, what are you didn't make an appearance in this video? Yet

missartist123: Even though it’s easy, I appreciate the tutorial. Sometimes it seems daunting but making it digestible for beginners helps a lot. Also, my 3 year old adores you and Frodo. She loves watching your videos with me and always is saying “pretty girl!” And “princess!” (she has a speech delay so anything to help her talk makes me happy)

Iliene: The new haircolor washed and "settled down" really pretty. Kinda reminded me of an elf in a few shots with the straight hair. Also makes you look younger.

glamourdaze: that finished look is pretty darned good.

Jessica Sanchez: Bangs look so cute on you! Maybe in the future, you can try doing some sort of 70s hair look with them? Love ya Rachel! <3

Sam of All Trades: I love how chill you are about cutting bangs. The last time I cut mine (at home, alone, on a whim...is there any other way to do it?) was like 4 years ago and I'm STILL GROWING THEM OUT. The rest of my hair grows wicked fast...but I think the follicles know when they've been cut into bangs and decide to punish the hair abuser (read: me).

Kristi Capewell: “I’ll just cut this one to match” is anyone having winged eyeliner flashbacks, trying to make them match your bangs look so cute Rachel

Ol Ga: Girl, how your hair is so shiny and beautiful? You look like you are from a dante gabriel rossetti painting with this hair color! Oh, how I wish that art cosplay was actually a more common and popular thing So many ideas

Joyce Adams: Your hair look super cute in the beginning when it was wavy and the bangs made it lean more towards like the 60's/70's so cute. And the color settled really pretty.

Plastic Frog: Just an idea: a vintage capsule wardrobe I‘ve been getting into capsule wardrobes lately so... if anyone has any ideas on what items would be needed, feel free to comment

Shirley Kanar: Might be just me, but at 0:54 seconds it looks like you have a little elf ear.. so darn cute <3

Rachel DeGreat: It's official. Watching Rachel do anything for 10 minutes is my happy place. So... Yeah

Perry Lynn W: This is actually SO useful! I’m currently growing my bangs out, and they are about the same length as yours. I’ve been having SUCH a hard time trying to style them. You are the BEST!!

Zina: So cute and informative!!! When (if) I ever tire of Bettie Bangs, I will try this style! I love your bangs so much!!! ✌️❤️

Chloe Hubbard: “Is cutting your bangs ever planned?” Me in my house having cut my bangs a year ago: HA HA NOPE

Sydney Bell: As usual editing and humour on point!

WerewolfStyleGuide: I love it! My hair is finally getting almost long enough to curl again!!! I shaved it last May and I've been not so patiently waiting for it to grow out. You're is GORGEOUS!

VintageVibesInModernTimes: Yes! Fringe styling is so hard this is gonna be great :)

RedRosesDead07: My hair would not look like yours if I did these simple curls. My hair is insane and unwilling to be tamed. I keep it very long to weigh it down as it's wavy/curly/straight - it basically can't make up it's mind. You look stunning and this hairdo suits you!!

Gabrielle: I love your floofy hair!!!! I actually bought that hair foaming lotion, and it’s amazing!! It’s a plus that it’s gluten free too!! I’m allergic to everything haha!! But, I love the bangs on you!! They look great!!! ☺️

nachthexen: I’VE BEEN SO PUMPED FOR THIS VIDEO! These bangs are so cute, I can’t wait for my hair to grow out so I can finally have the floofy bangs of my dreams ✨

Rebecca C: Have been watching your videos, hooked for the last couple of weeks, I love your editing!! Gee you make me laugh love your style and content, please never stop

Jillian M: That you for this. All the vintage hair videos I have seen the girls have one length hair! I have a diamond shaped face so bangs are a must for me and I can’t commit to vintage style enough yet to completely grow them out to be the same length as the rest of my hair. This will help me try out vintage hair to see if it is something I want to do full time! Thanks!

Tammi MacClellan Heupel: I love your hair! Please do another henna video! It looks great on you and you make everything so entertaining xx I'm getting ready to henna my hair with Lush's Rouge *scared!*

BionicBear: I hope you're planning on showing us your cosplays! Everything that you do is magical! And I'm pretty sure that you're my spirit animal! B.T.Dubs, I absolutely adore your asymmetric sweater! It looks so good on you! But then again, so does literally everything. Is it real vintage?

Lori Hooper: Rachel, you and frodo are such awesome entertainment! What would my week be like without you two in it? Boring! LOL!

Vivi: Yayy that's really helpful!^^ I'm currently working on a wig for my hobbit costume and wanted to add some bangs like yours but couldn't quite nail the curls:)

duck telepathy: I literally just finally got past the awkward stage of growing out my bangs, and now this video made me want to cut them again because they're so cute curled! (someone please stop me before I find the scissors)

jackie: Ill never get tired of the bangs you look really cute with them!!!!

BabeSabbath: as someone with thin hair that needs to be washed every day, it's always so wild to see these kinds of tutorials. what would my life be like if if could just put rollers in over night and have dope hair the next day, i think that counts as a super power tbh

Livia Lautenschlager: I love your vintage- ness. Never stop.

Autumn Branscome: I say it every damn time, but I just ADORE you ❤

Ryn Bliss: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I've been watching a couple vintage youtubers lately and wanting to style my hair vintage but I have bangs and didn't know what to do with them so when I saw yours I got really excited because it looks so cute! I'm definitely going to try this out soon!

Ivory & Gold: When I saw your overgrown bangs fall to the front I was like DON'T CUT THEM! Then you did. They still look good and more vintage now but I liked the longer bangs a lot.

makeitaperfectplease: Never stop doing your outtakes, please :-D they are just as good as the video itself!

VeganVintageGeek: Here is an even easier bang cutting tutorial that Vintagious showed: https://youtu.be/1_Gw68S5EKI Thank you for showing how you style your bangs. I cut my bangs years ago after watching the Sandra Dee movie Gidget and wanted a cute hair style like hers. I got so fed up with them. I had no clue how to style them vintage.

Hina!: I so enjoy everything you post Rachel, but I also live for the edits (3:34 be still my heart haha) Also, I got to 6 minutes and was like, this is fantastic! ... where be Frodo?! (And was then thoroughly rewarded :D)

Shelli: Your videos always cheer up my day

R. Darlene Durfey: Simple and beautiful.

FrannyLuvsAll: Rachel, I am loving the content & how often you upload. I always get excited seeing your vids in my notifications!

Natalie s: When i had a pixie cut i used to style my fringe in little pin curls with a lot of spray and mini pins. I also used to do a bumperbangs thing with them

Jan Rose: I'd love to see a vlog style video from you soon! A little more about your life kind of videos would be awesome too!

adruggedcuppa: The bangs suit you so much! I love them! <3

Primrose: They look so good with curled hair like yours, you make me want some bangs now but I cannot pull off a middle parting, even with curled hair

Kaelyn Evans: I’m glad I subscribed, you’re just funny and lovely. I can relate to the bangs statement (I get lazy sometimes and trim the hairs that are longer that wind up in the bang area instead of putting them back in their place)

creepy-kitty: I love old fashioned sponge/foam rollers.

TheRainbowSpade: your curls look so voluminous and bouncy!! I also do wet set curls, but I find when I do my color treated hair gets so dry and frizzy looking. When I try to moisturize my hair with a leave in beforehand, the curls never stay. :( How long do your curls last with the motions foaming wrap?

Soile Ilkkala: I love your red hair ! If I would not be old crow and my hair would not need bucket of colour I would go that red too . I have to curl my hair with rollers made with paper towel :P Only way I get big enough rollers for my almost sitting on my hair length . Rollers work great but it takes hours if I want really tight curls ,can't lift my arms for 2 days after . Joys of having naturally tooth pick straight hair . Only hair cut I can do is with razor blade , billiard ball cut . Your bangs look good . Loves <3

Makayla G: Love this! I love having bangs, but they naturally part down the middle and Idk what to do with them, not I have an idea! So... where'd you get those nice lil foam rollers?

Valeri Oliva: Your bangs looks adorable and totally unrelated your complexion looks amazing in this video, I envy the pale that is you. I’m quite fair but I love your skin tone :: insert Buffalo Bill dance ::

Ghost Li: new subscriber, looking through a few of your videos like "who does she remind me of???" and then it hit me with this video's thumbnail. LILY RABE. holy crap, you 2 are similar. you're so pretty and charming. i can't wait to see more content :)

olivia: Could we maybe get a tutorial on how you do the rest of the curls in your hair? It all looks so lovely together!

Heidi Trampedach: I just found your channel and had a really late night because of it! I love your videos and your sense of humor ☺

Annie -: This is the first video about roller bangs I've seen on all youtube. Rachel saved us again.

Neringa Žemaitė: Please make a video of just Frodo goofing around with you!:)

Alison Marsh: Came for the vintage stayed for the pop culture references.

Thriving on the Rez: Love it! Very cute.

Jo Hughes: They really suit you doll! Your hair is soooo beautiful!! Luv ya & Mr. Frodo too! Xx

MeTheBee: Perfect natural hair!

Jules: You're beautiful! I like this hair color on you, at the beginning of the video it totally gives you a Rose from Titanic vibe! Xx ☺️☺️❤️

Erica Olmos: That was so easy..I do the same

RachLongbottom: Gosh, you're like a ginger Inigo Montoya with those bangs; keep picturing you saying "Prepare to die" I love it! Thanks for the great videos; looking forward to watch them every week. You certainly inspired me to express myself better; so thank you so much for your easy-to-follow tutorials and incredible cosplay videos and ideas!!! Love you lots

elaniel: i love how you speak to the camera so much! also your editing is superb.

A Modern Centurion: You look so cute with bangs! I love it!

Long Story Short: ALL THESE REFERENCES. I may be a bald, queer MAN .. but now I want bangs so I can stick it to Bembridge Scholars while avenging the death of my father! P.S. Did anyone else mishear "Pembridge" scholars their entire lives, only to have Rachel and a quick Google search blow their mind?!

anto pozo: Thank you so much for doing this video! <3

Talar Sews Stuff: Ugh I adore this!!! I love your videos Rachel!!!!

Sarah Gold: I've been SO needing this video!! You are a dream!

Sketch Me Up Scotty: DAMN Rachel, living for that hair color **shooketh** I saw the hair dye video, but I feel like the color has really settled in nicely.

Jess Sabulsky: Before you styled them they were so 70's feathered bangs and I am so so here for it

Joanna Maria: I still can't get over your hair colour. I love it so much

It's A Charming Life: Ohmygoodness I gotta try this on my ol' Bettie bangs before they're completely grown out! Looks so darling on you, idk if it will on me P.S. How is it when you're outside, do they stay semi cute if its windy?

0Lottee0: I've had bangs basically since I was 5 and because I am too lazy to like do the adult thing and pay someone to make sure my bangs look nice I just...ya know..wing it. Thinning sheers are beautiful tools designed to help me hide that even after a billion years of existing I can't cut my own damn hair. I start with normal hair cutting sheers to get the general shape I want and use the thinning sheers to make it less blunt and hide my horrific mistakes :) of which there are many :) :) :) HNNNNNG

Pennywise The dancing clown: I’ve been wanting to try vintage hairstyles, but it seems much more challenging with naturally curly hair.

DeAnna W: I am so glad I found you. I am don't dress vintage or do cosplay, but your video's are awesome and I feel like we have the same sense of humor. I am just a tad older, LOL. Oh and Frodo, I am here for the cuteness that is Frodo.

Hollie: Okay I have bangs like this naturally and love them but thanks for the tutorial

AliceRavenWing: Cute! Reminds me somewhat of 80s anime hair, like a sailor moon character

stucco gems: Love your channel, you are so funny and entertaining!

The Glamour Ghoul: So, I actually loved the crimped hair with the bangs look. You looked like a mermaid, or an Elvish creature, or a faerie. Very "running barefoot through the woods while playing a harp"-esque. That's a thing. It is. Anyway, you look super cute with bangs!

Rachael Nielsen: This was awesome! Especially when you compared your hair to Frodo etc. soooo good LOL!

Tuti Pinup: I literally started and ended my dinner plate synchronized with your video! haha thanks darling!

Wynn: Do you have a trick for getting perfect curls when you put it in rollers? I’ve tried to much but my efforts fall flat (pun intended) in about 20 minutes

Cristina Grigorie: Hi, Rachel! I think that you have a great taste for vintage clothes . I'm in love with your haircolour, can you please tell me what did you use?

Buffy Cary: I always love your pop culture asides. I was gushing about your channel to a co-worker today and I told her that your sense of humor was very similar to hers and my own. I also had to rep the Frodo tee in the conversation. Lol.

Evie .L. Swan: I cut my bangs yesterday I'm 13 and didn't ask my mom if I could it came out really nice but my mom was still a little mad because it was impulsive because I was watching your videos ‍♀️

C L: I am in that stage where my bangs are like long enough to pull back with the rest of my hair but they’re awkward so I kind of want to cut them again but I know I’ll regret it. ‍♀️

Hannah Sims: i have trouble figuring out ways to style my bangs but i usually take a flat iron and make them curl all together so it’s like a big front bang swoosh under type thingy

Cannibal Creep: Encouraging people to mess up their hair, love it!

Ryuguji Ken: I impulsively cut my hair off from an awkward growing out undercut to a short curly pixie and it be curling in the way your bangs are styled

pixie: They look so cute!

Raistlin Bright: You look like Peggy Carter and Natasha Romanoff's love child.

Julia Bielińska: Your hair curled is probably the most beautiful thing I've ever seen...

cml: The editing. I'm dead so good. Thank you.

A Hammersen: I know you probably don't read all of these but you're an inch away from being able to do a pre-raphaelite cosplay with your hair that color! I hope you do I think it would be really interesting to see.

Mary Golden: two questions! do you use the foam rollers on the rest of your head too? and if so what foam rollers brand i really like those!

Jacqueline Speck: I went to a salon a little while ago...(something I legit nevvver do) Sat down in the chair said I was growing my bangs. By the end I told her to chop them... She laughed and gave me baby bangs.... These babies are still trying to grow out. Bangs... Story of my life.

Heather Culver-Teubert: Do you ever use Spoolies curlers? I just bought some for my vintage look. Would love to see a vid on that.

Courtney Norris: Your new hair colour is so nice!! It’s settled into a more *you* colour x

Plastic Frog: This could be helpful with my short hair love your colour btw❤️❤️

Sarah L: Hahaha! So many possibilities with those bangs! I had no idea. You've enlightened me. I think I'll stick it to the Bembridge scholars.

GwynkyTube: Trying overnight foam rollers for the first time- Do you use a sleeping cap? If so, what kind/brand? I'm hoping for something not satin..
