Hello, everyone welcome back to my channel today. I am going to take you through my step-by-step process, to how i style my curtain bangs. Yes, i am just like so many women in the world um this year and i got current bangs. I really just needed a change and i really like how it's like a simple change that, like i can play around with styling, but i didn't have to completely chop my hair. I dyed a weird color and this is like i don't know it's a fun way - to kind of get a new hair vibe for yourself without having to make a huge commitment, because i mean, as you can see, i got kind of longer curtain bangs, so they're, Not necessarily like too scary and get them like super short or like straight across bangs or anything, and i have been loving them. The one thing about curtain bangs is, you, do have to style them or they look a little funky uh and i have found that out the hard ways i have been having to style. My hair now um a lot more than before, and i have found um what i think is the perfect method to get that. Um, nice curtain bang blown out spoop as well as just an all over um hair blow out uh, and i'm going to share that with you today um. So when i went and got my curtain bangs, i went and showed my hair stylist. This photo uh just one. I found off pinterest as i was looking at inspo, not for color, but for cut, and i think she achieved it. I got that really nice long curtain, bang swoop and she kind of walked me through what products to use, how to style it, and now i've been doing this for like a month or so. Every time i wash my hair, this is my routine, and so i've really gotten it down it. I'Ve gotten it down to a craft. It takes me really like 10 minutes, not that long and um. I will walk you through each product i use from in my shower to when i sit down and start styling, my hair to the end. I'M gon na seem like a super cool youtuber and look like i'm sponsored by this big hairline um. That is not the case, i'm a very small channel and although that would be a dream, come true, this brand does not sponsor me, but if you want to moroccan oil um contact me because i love your product, but anyway i use all moroccan oil products um. I think it's because i've used them for a long time and i think it's a number of reasons. It'S what my hair stylist uses at her salon, and i like as she's doing my hair like after she gives me a cut and color. I'M always like watching the exact order of her products. I'M asking all these questions because i love the feeling of leaving a hair salon, and i want my hair to feel like that whenever i do it and because of this method, it does. You know that amazing feeling you get uh when you're leaving the hair salon your hair, never feels better. It feels so soft and silky and clean and fresh yeah using these products that i use and the way i blow out my hair. I get that feeling every time i wash my hair and blow it up, but i'm gon na hop right in to showing you guys how you can get this at home. Blowout curtain, bang, styling and if you haven't already, why not just subscribe before the video like just come join me just join the love meg fam subscribe down below all right now without further ado, let's get to hair styling all right, so starting off with my damp Hair, of course, uh. I didn't start this video in the shower, even though i said i was going to do my hair routine from start to finish, because that would be a little weird if i brought my phone in the shower um. But i am going to talk a little bit about what i washed my hair with um, because i do think uh every product you use plays a part in how, of course, your hair looks in the very end. So, like i mentioned, i use all moroccan oil. First of all, um so before i'm here sitting in front of you i showered this morning and i washed my hair today, so i have um some like blonde highlights throughout my natural hair and i like them to have a little bit more of a cooler tone. Um and so that they don't get brassy and more yellow. I actually tone my hair one to two times a week, uh always on fridays. I like to be nice and toned for the weekend and then usually um, maybe like a tuesday or a wednesday, is when i do it the second time, and for that i use the purple shampoo, and this is what i use today and then on the days That i don't tone my hair. I use the moisture repair shampoo. This one, i know, is really moisturizing. It'S for damaged, hair, colored hair, which definitely is mine. I'Ve been coloring my hair for years, so it helps it kind of like bring the moisture back to it and keep it a little bit more hydrated and silky looking and then again. This is to tone, and so it's just going to bring using the purple. It brings a little bit more of the cooler tones back into my hair um, and this is i've used multiple purple shampoos, because i've been doing blondes in my hair for many years, and this is probably the best for this is new for moroccan oil, and it's Like the best purple shampoo i've ever used, i am obsessed with it um. So definitely, if you are someone who also dyes your hair blonde check this purple shampoo out, you will not regret it. I promise so i washed my hair with this today and then i use same as my shampoo um for the conditioner. I use the moisture repair conditioner as well. I will say on the days that i do tone my hair. I put a lot more conditioner in because this is can be because this is really drying and you can feel that in the shower to your hair is going to feel a little bit more dry. Oh, my gosh, my hair is drying as we speak and we need to get to the blowout, but that's okay. I'Ve also blown out my hair when it's completely dry. That'S what's great about the brushes i'm going to use today. So that's my shampoo and conditioner and then right out of the shower. What i do is i towel dry, my hair a little bit and then i brush it through and then right away um just so it can start soaking in. I will put my moroccan oil in now. This is the og moroccan oil. This has been popular since i think i was in middle school so way back. I'Ve been using this for years and years and years um and mainly okay. I don't know if i've actually owned this product for years and years. I think i used to sneak into my mom's bathroom and i might still sometimes do that with her products uh and i would steal her mocking oil and um this. My hairstylist actually told me to do this right out of the shower. I put like a pump and a half in, and then i put it throughout my hair and then brush my hair through, so that it starts soaking in to my hair. As i'm doing my makeup doing my skincare, whatever, as my hair, starts to kind of air dry so that it's all prepped and ready for the next products and the blow drying brush to go in my hair. So, okay, i'm gon na brush my hair, real quick here. I have a mirror like directly behind the camera, so this whole video you're going to see me kind of like looking past you so sorry, okay, so first this next product, i'm going to put in is a leave-in conditioner. Also it's a heat protectant. So it's the moroccan oil all-in-one leave-in conditioner, so this is just again um to put that barrier on my hair to protect it from the heat i'm about to put on it and also just keep it luscious. Keep it shiny, keep it moisturized throughout the day, and my hairstylist actually told sold me on this, because it's what's so great about this. Is it even says right here, 72 hours softness and i can attest that i don't wash my hair every day and but i will use heat on it. Um still style it on second day hair third day hair, but this product lasts in your hair. When you put it in it's going to keep that softness for 72 hours, it's going to still protect your hair. You don't have to re-put in all this heat protectant re-put in all the product in your already kind of greasy second day hair. So this will last and continue to protect your hair for days. So i really love that so i'm going to spritz this throughout. I really like that. It'S a spritzer too, it's just so easy to apply um rather than putting a whole bunch of different products. In your hand, so i spritz that throughout and then, since it is a spritzer, i do brush it through, so that i can evenly kind of incorporate it throughout my hair. Okay, hey! It feels weird because this is like my everyday um well, at least on my hair washing day. This is my everyday hair routine. This is what i do like. This is actually like my process. Every time i'm drying my hair after a shower, and so it feels really weird having a camera in front of me. It'S like, i don't know it's weird um, so, okay, so then, after that i take, it looks just like it. This is the volumizing mess, and this has been a game changer for me when it comes to my blowouts, because my hair is just naturally really flat. Even when i do use this, my hair is still pretty flat and this just adds a little bit more volume. A little bit more texture to my hair, and you feel it too like when i don't use this product and i'm putting my blow drying brush through it. My hair, just kind of i can feel the difference it just kind of like slips through a little more. This gives a little bit. It has a little bit more give when you're putting the brush through, not in a bad way, not where it feels tangled, but you can feel that there's a little more texture, a little more volume to the hair um. So again, i'm gon na spritz this throughout and my hair says told me to use this very generously. So i put kind of a lot in um and so i first kind of lift at the root to get that volume. And then i go throughout the rest of my hair. Again, i'm putting a ton in all righty okay, so that, like the last one, i'm just gon na brush it through to make sure i don't know if this actually does anything in my mind it does. I'M just making sure it all gets spread throughout all right, cool, okay, so my hair product wise, is all prepped to start going in with my blow drying brush. I use two different brushes, so the first one that i use and adding a second brush to my routine has been a game changer. This is recent and um i'll. Show you why it's just been a game changer, but so this is the all popular. I literally all over youtube to talk instagram. Whatever you see this brush and not to say i'm an og, but i'm an og. I'Ve been using this for a long time since it first came out because my mom had it and then i would steal hers, and then i got my own. So this like this is like one of my favorite things: i've ever it's it's been a game changer. It seriously is a game changer for hair, because girls are able to achieve a blowout at home that hair salon blowout at home with a very easy step. So it is this: just is the revlon um blow drying, brush you're, literally just gon na be brushing and twisting your hair and then you're, just gon na be blown out and beautiful, and it's so easy and perfect. So i could not recommend this more. I recommend it to all my friends and now it's like, i feel, like everyone has this like it's just so you can see mine's like super banged up. I'Ve used it so much. There'S, probably some hair in here um, the bristles are a little bent still works. Just fine, i love this. This is my baby there's, so many different um blow drying brushes like this out there. I think this is the one that you get the best bang for your buck, so we'll totally get it so i go in and i first dry most of my hair. The majority of my hair is right with this, and then they have this smaller one. I don't remember the exact name, but this is a little bit smaller one. It'S it's pretty different than that. One uh the air just comes like through here and then it has this detachable brush. So and then this one the air is like all throughout, but with this smaller one, i honestly just use it for my curtain bangs, so the bang sections, because with this smaller i'm able to really get into there and um i cur you'll, see i curl it Up - and it gives me more volume, it gives a little bit more bounce. I get more control of my curtain bangs and i used to do them with this, and i wasn't getting that the right look that i was wanting. I was not. They were a little volume and they were straightened and blown out, but not as much as this does so. This has been again a game changer for when it comes to stacking, my curtain bangs having a smaller blow drying brush, and if you don't want to get two different brushes, i don't mind it. You can use just a normal, the old hair dryers that don't have a brush attached with a little mini round, brush and kind of use your hands, but i can never figure out how to like do that. I don't know i never know how to maneuver. Both of my hands to use that, which is why these brushes are so handy um to get that perfect, at-home blowout, so i'm gon na get into it. I'M gon na start blow drying my hair, oh, i guess. The last thing i do before is. I do section it off, so let me section so what i do is. I do a bottom section, a top section, and then i do my bangs separate, like i said so coming down here from the bottom of my ears, section these babies off and i do a little twist and grab a little clip and clip it into place. Lovely all right, so, let's get started uh with this brush. It seriously is so easy to use and it's pretty self-explanatory because you literally just have to brush your hair. But the main thing you need to remember is to keep the brush kind of turning and rolling the entire time, because you really want to create that kind of flipped under end. At least that's the look, i'm going for that very um. 90S flare flipped over ends. Uh, it's just really kind of popular right now, with these blowouts, so i'm keeping the brush turning and turning until the entire bottom section of my hair is dry uh and i just yeah. I really am focusing on those end pieces and curling them towards my face. Okay, i'm gon na take this section down now and i just brush it out, incorporate it into that bottom section, and this is also where i'm going to kind of figure out. My part make my part a little more neat. Okay, i can never get like the perfect part um, but it's good enough. It'S good enough! Okay, and this is where i'm going to section off my curtain bangs. I section off my curtain base using this little clip. It is like literally a clip that you, like you, know one of those like fashiony clips you're supposed to wear like, but i i just like it for sectioning off my veins um. I think it was laying around one day and i that's what i used and then i just have used the same thing ever since so i'm gon na do that yet, okay, so i'm gon na just twist those off and for now, while i do this side, It'S gon na look really funky, i'm gon na pin them to the side um and then, when i do the other side, i'll pin them to the other side and let's get to it. Okay, so very similar to the bottom section. I am literally just brushing my hair until it's dry seriously. I don't know what we all did before these types of blow drying brushes came out because it makes it so easy. But again just turning everything towards my face and my top section actually has a lot more uh fun layers to it. They'Re a lot shorter and that's just something that i asked my hair stylist for it just makes a little more fun to style. It gives me more of that again: 90s esque fairy rachel from friends inspired hair. That is always what i'm going for so just keeping it turned in until it's all dry, all right. So to do these lovely bangs! I go ahead and i pin back. I hope, i'm not like pitting out. Okay, so just brush them out and the whole thing you want to think with this. Is you never want them to be flattened? So as i'm going with my hair with my like blow, dryer you're never going to want to like brush it like this, because that's just going to bring them down and flatten, it's all about bringing them up. So we're going to do this, lift with our hair dryer and we're going to bring them all up and blow dry it all up here so that when it lays flat it's gon na be like starting just at the very ends of my bangs. I roll it up to the top of my head and this is sped up, but i let it sit there for some time and i do it a couple of times just to make sure i'm getting a good amount of lift up by my roots. And then, oh and of course you can't see it, i roll the ends of my hair over and over and then, when i let them fall, you can see, there's a really just fun boingy finish and i throw them back and incorporate them into the rest of My hair and it looks a little goofy at first, but you kind of got ta brush them play with them, get them positioned to where you want them. You can even play around with some hairspray um to hold them in place a little better and there you have it easy, peasy, bouncy, curtain bangs. That is how i style my curtain bangs and give myself that at home, just let the hairstylist blow out uh. I hope you found this helpful um, just me kind of walking through my process. I know everyone kind of has their own process with this, but this is how i do it, and i again i've been doing this. This is seriously what i do every single time. After i wash my hair and i've gotten really used to the routine, it's a really easy routine. It takes me like 10 minutes when i'm not filming to do all of this to my hair to dry it. So it is really fast, and i just i'm so happy that i have found this routine - that i can like feel confident, um and feel like my hair. Is nice and blown out and luscious uh, and i don't have to just always go to a hairstylist.
