Hey everyone, so I'm, finally back with another tutorial and this one is on: pin curls and they're the flat pin curls and on top of being flat, pin curls they're called alternating pinnacles and what alternating pinkles are. Is you start when you start the first row you're going either clockwise or counterclockwise and in a vertical you can get rid of or you can do more horizontal, but I jump further critical E and the first row is going to be clockwise and then, when I Do the next row it's going to be counterclockwise, so that's all it is it's just changing the direction of your pan. Curl one roll is going to be going all the same way. The next row is going to be going the completely different way, and what that is going to cause is the S shape and by the a sheep I mean this, how my hair is you have those deep waves inside? So that's what it is. So these are going to be alternating, pin curls, it takes a lot of time, but what I do is I sleep in them and by sleeping with them and letting them set a whole night plus the time you take to get ready. That'S gon na allow these curls to stay in folding and they can even last the next day as well, so with pin coast. What you're going to need are first, your pins, and I just have these single pins right here. I know people use the double chrome ones, but I just got these at Sally's hairspray, which is the one I love I on finishing spray. The mega hold freeze and what you're also going to need is a curl setter and the one I like to use is curl amplifier. It'S called this one curls rock catwalk. If your hair is not damp already, just grab a glass of water, and what I do is because my hair is always dry, um I'll, just dip. My fingers in the water and I'll just run it through each strand and you'll, see in the video that I'm doing at each time. Okay, so those are the things that you are going to need, oh and since I always get questions on the makeup today, I am wearing Saucebox. Cosmetics is the creme de la creme, and this color right here. The white shimmer is this one down here and in the middle it's a mixture of these two and black. This is really nice and the owner of Saucebox is actually doing me. The favor of giving all of my followers 15 percent off okay, so make sure to enter the code pin up 15. They all have to be capitalized, so capital, P, capital, i' and capital, u capital, P and then 15. I don't get 15 % off. So I'm going to go over the video and I hope everyone likes it well, I just put this in already, so that's like kind of looks sticky a little bit and then I have my cup of water just dip my fingers in and and wet my hair. A little bit and what I'm going to do the section this part, because these are going to be the elevated, pin curls and that's if I do the elevated pink hose right here. That'S what's going to give me that little shape. Once I take everything out - and I fix my hair - just - do a little pin right there now this isn't the pink girl talking about this is just to keep it out of my face. I'M going to start right here to just section this part. You want that about maybe an inch wide make sure to hold the rest of your hair, the smaller the curl, the tighter the waist will be, and I want to pretty tight only because my hair is longer I'm going to do is just dip. My fingers in the water and just run it through my hair to make it damp. You can use a spray bottle of water, but I don't have one right now, so I'm improvising. Okay, some people like to start from here and just roll it around their fingers. But I like starting at the base and what I'm going to do is grab the tip and curl in. You can use your fingers to measure. But I just like, looking at it and measuring with my eye and you're, going to curl in all the way up and make sure it's really clean, it's gon na be pretty time-consuming. These things take a while and you want to go all the way up here. Flatten it down and pin it like that, so make sure it's really clean and then we're gon na get started on the next one. That'S early, I mean girl just a second. So that's how it's gon na look we're going to start on the next row. Ok, so now we're going to start the next row and this time we're going to go the opposite way. So before I was curling in that way now I guess you can say I'm going to be curling out so kind of flipping the hair out a little bit damping. My hair there's others this week. We did not see on the dragon. This is you basically, so these are going that way. No sorry they're going this way. Okay, and these are going the opposite way and then you're going to do the same with the next room and you're going to do that all across right here, this top area. Okay, so I've actually finished a majority of the pin curls - and I did half of the back already you want to do - is make sure you just cut straight down and make a vertical line. So this is going to be your other part and you're going to start pulling here and again do the alternating rows. One row clockwise the other one counter clockwise in the backs a little tricky, so you just got to be careful, make sure not to twist the rule or your curl it'll come out funky if you do to remember, make your little chrome just slowly roll. So I'm just wanting to get out, but just make sure to try to put it all together. Okay, so, finally, after almost an hour, I finished the pan curling everything. So let me show you the back so now this up here. As I said, these are going to be elevated and I want them to be elevated because I want that wave up at the top. So my hair's gon na wave don't like that. It kind of really has it, but I'm gon na do is get this top part right here, I'm going to wet it and you're going to want to go roll up that way, we'll grab a clip and stick it up there and there's that. So you have your all your pin, curls and then your elevated curls, okay, so after you're done pinning everything and you have your elevated curls done what you're going to do is start your hairspray aim, you're just fitting and after you let it dry just make sure To put on one of your scarves or a cap, whatever works for you, but just make sure to be careful with these right here and you're gon na sleep in them. Okay, so it's the next day already and I've gotten completely ready, I'm already dressed my makeups done, and what you want to do is finish your makeup. Get dressed everything before you do your hair. That way, when you walk out the door, it's completely fresh, its new and it's bouncy. Now we're just going to be taking out the clips. You have to be really careful that the clips don't snag some of your curls because then it'll just completely mess it up. So you kind of end up like with chrony Sewell, hair. Okay, so now just run your fingers through. So it's big, don't worry next. Is this brush and you're just going to want to start gently coming through, and I just do section by section, so I'm going to want it full. So I don't want to push everything in together, just gently, let it go and as you're releasing each section just kind of gently sculpt it. So when you release it your brush, pull. What I like to do is pull down at the end and just kind of make a curl. That'S that's not gon na be the way you know, I'm gon na style it, but just for now it's going to take a lot of force. Rushing to the other side, okay, so this is kind of the first start. I'M gon na have that nice wave here and you look back just brush it ball down and go round, and from this point it's just pretty much moulding your hair. The way you want it, so you just keep brushing until you get a shape that you actually like you can push out. Reconversion understand just keep going with it. It'S really short and see how it kind of just looks a little bit frizzy. What I'm going to use is because my hair is like, since I let it air dry and immediate dam. I'Ve always had frizzy hair since I was a little girl. So if I leave my hair down, then I let it air dry. It just turns into these big puff ball, but what I'm going to use is L'Oreal's professional line and it's called the mystic oil or mystic mythic coil. Sorry, I just put one pump and just run it through can already see how it just pretty much kind of took away all the frizz. I love this stuff and it smells really good see. I have some pretty nice waves going on right here on this side. Right here it's nicely okay, so this is pretty much how I want to leave it. I'M gon na do is this side. I always pull back. Give it like that Dita Von Teese look just keep playing with your hair to get it the way you like it now, it's my hairspray just spray. This brush it back just get a bobby pin what's here and then this kind of gives it a little bit more volume right here. Once you get it the way you want it just spray some hairspray, you now decide nice trigger and now we're going to do this part. So take all this on, get your fresh. You can brush this all out and that's when you're going to start playing with it grab the back section just start teasing. You don't need too much just like this. Thank you. I, like doing it spray this rack on. I have some holding it so that it dries well. I'M styling. We still maintain the shape okay, so you know what now that I think about it, I'm going to be putting an accessory here. So what I'm gon na do is switch it over to the other side. That'S just finished, fixing it all, but since it's already molded it shouldn't take too much time looks better on that thing. Just grab a bobby pin, so you get some carrot, just hiding it. There now you could use the bow you could use whatever type of accessories you want um. I actually got these from again one of my favorite, dumb accessory stores. Mr. booth move on lady garden I'll post the link down below, so you can check out her accessories. There'S this cute sailor, one! So when I'm going to use this this one um, I have changed into the shirt, but I have a black one, so I'm just gon na switch out the black one so that matches with me it's more Halloween type. It'S cute! That way, you can just hide the bobby pins in mine, either cute legs are either okay, so here is, like I said, just keep playing with it and you know see which way you end up liking. It show you the back, so you can see the ladies and you can see that s, but it kind of forms like last ways I can brush it out more make it cleaner, but I've done enough brushing for today. So it is a process and it does take a lot of practice. You have to have a lot of patience to. You know come up with style, but it's to me it's totally worth it, especially since the curls last all day, while these for me and even the next day, just remember it's it's a lot of practice and a lot of patience, and you know something would get Frustrated because they can't get it but, like I said it's just going to take practice practice practice, especially if you're not used to doing complicated styles and things like that. It'S gon na be something completely new for you, but yeah. It'S really fun and I do get tons of compliments when I wear my hair, like this so yeah, hopefully like did thanks everybody for watching

HALM Official: This is amazing. A question: When you do the back, do you follow the same sections which you did on the side, like in every horizontal line you do the curls in one way and in the section below you do them the opposite way? Or do you divide the sides and do opposite againt each other? Or maybe the back is done in a completely different way? Would LOVE to know how you do the back since it's very hard to understand! I'm working on a new costume that's a burlesque variation and want my hair in just about the same soft and voluminous but still curly (not just wavy) style you've shown, but the twist is I need it to last for ~10 hours at a convention...and still look amazing at the end of the day for the costume contest! I know pin curls are usually pretty gravity proof but I hace waist length hair that just doesn't like to hold.....and because of that I'm always too scared to brush it out like you have here and end up looking like the original Annie film instead of a sexy pinup style... yikes!
