How To Cut And Style Curtain Bangs In Under 5 Minutes With Justine Marjan | Brittany Xavier

Justine came over to cut and style my curtain, bangs and she's, going to show you how you can do this in under five minutes, i'm with justine marshawn. She has been cutting my hair, for. I feel like over two years, a couple years now yeah, but she just came to give me a trim for my cut, but this time the cut before we did a little bit shorter bangs, but i didn't really style it straight across, like i thought i would With just being at home, in a little bit of the low-key style that i like, she suggested that we do curtain things this time, since it's fun low-key and something easy to style, and it's also a great way to grow out your bangs. If you did a quarantine, bang, which i feel like everyone was cutting their bangs at home, this is a good way to grow them out and get that transition, and it's also face framing and kind of opens up your face too, which is really nice and the Nice thing about burnings: is you can do it if your hair is long or short? So with me, with a blunt cut, it looks really kind of like really blends in nicely, but also looks really good on long hair jayden's, actually hoping that i let her cut curtain things, but you should i know, but i feel like it's so she's. So little still, i don't know i guess she's not so little, but i'm like i don't want her having to do her hair in the morning, but true check after this video she might have turned babies, but there are a few tips like i would say. Bangs are high maintenance and for most people like after they cut them, they're kind of shocked by how much styling you have to do like even after we first cut the bangs on you, like, you still have to yeah yeah. Exactly so we're going to give you all the tips on how to style your curtain, bangs and easiest ways to do it. The first thing that i suggest is taking a triangular section at the center of the hairline, so usually where the head starts to round. Is the best place that's going to be most flattering on your face? Is my head a regular round, shape yeah regular, you don't have a weird head: don't worry! Okay, so i have my triangular section and this will be what will become the curtain bangs, and then i like to just blow dry it all forward so that we can get it all going in the same direction. And then i flip the ends up so that they frame the face. So do. Are you recommending any type of scissors, because should my kitchen shears not do not use kitchen originate? No do not um like a professional one, but if you're doing this at home, you can get them at most beauty, supply stores. Okay, so then i put the brush i'm using a rounded brush. This is one of the new wet brush break free round. Brushes, i place it on top of the section and then i'm just going to blow dry. It and kind of flip the ends up. So it kind of flips the ends up and then when we bring it to the side and it opens up around the face and then after we cut it, we'll restyle it a little bit, but that at least lets me know what it'll look like. When i cut it, then i brush it all down with a comb and then flip the ends up and we want to cut the middle part a little bit shorter than the sides. So i use a razor because it looks a little softer and i kind of just slide my fingers down and get the sides to be a little bit longer. And then you decide how long you want them to be and you can kind of adjust from there. But that gives me a good like base and then how? How long do you want like cheekbone, yeah yeah? Do you think that that's most flattering, i think, because then it opens up your cheekbones yeah and i can leave the pieces forward when i put my hair and it's cute yeah. If you pull your hair back, you have some nice face for me yeah. So then i'll just kind of adjust here and clean it up. It'S pretty simple: are you looking forward to just be like literally uh yeah, basically yeah, but you want it to be soft. So that's. Why, usually, i flip it up, because then it makes it wanna open up around the face, instead of just laying flat yeah like you just cut a chunk yeah exactly so, then i use thinning shears, which kind of cuts every other strand basically, and that just also Softens the ends, and again i flip it up because then it's what will you kind of direct the hair, how you want it to fall? Naturally - and i slide my fingers down as i trim the ends so that the ends are really soft and blend into her hair, so just the same thing on the other side and then i could brush it all forward and flip it up and to make sure Both sides are even cute: oh my god, it already looks so cute, okay and then now that it's cut, i can style it more for her hair. So i'm going to go back in with the round brush and give it a little more volume for styling. These do you think just blow-dry or do you think yeah, i think a blow-dry is the best idea or if you have a hot brush like i love the ghd hot brush, the ghd rice poppers. Do you have it it's not that blue for curtain blings? It'S just like a brush that it's a brush, that's round that heats up, and you literally just like brush your bangs and they're like perfect, okay, so now to get more volume, since these are cut i'll. Take the section that we just cut and i'm just going to lift the hair up as i blow dry it and kind of shape it around the brush a little bit more to really get that shape and there was to really get the shape and then, like Edges that round, you could also do this if you have like a roller like a velcro roller or something you could just put your bangs in it in the morning and then i'll just use the cool air to set that shape a little bit. I always forget to do that when i look it's good, because your hair is curly too, you can pull it down. Otherwise, you'll get like hot and it'll just spritz up really fast, okay. So then, when i release it i'll just brush it back and it has a lot of volume and then you could just use your hands and kind of like place it. How you want to see it so cute? Oh my god! So easy!
