This is a hair tutorial on how to do a layered bob haircut.

Hi auntie Amy and today I'm going to be doing a layered Bob. Okay. What we're going to do is we're going to take off the link talked about here, we're going to look at her hair. The way it is now out sort of flipping. We don't want it to flip anymore. We want it more of a bob style, so we're going to probably take it to about here, so it'll go under really nice and then we're going to add some layers up on top of it. If you go down the neck, there's like a little bone right here. This is where I want to have my guideline. So what I'm going to do is I'm just going to go across like this now this is going to be my guideline. I'M going to bring everything down to here now, I'm using the fine toothed part of the comb, because her hair is fine. If it's thicker use the wider toothed part, you don't want to use too much tension on the hair when it's wet make sure that your clients head is just slightly tilted forward, not really far forward, because then it throws everything off just a natural tilt forward. Where you start your cutting, really isn't that important as long as you follow the guide, so you can start over here if you like, and then work yourself to the other side, if you use too much tension, what happens is after it's dry, it bounces up too Much so you really want to just make sure you're not using a lot of tension while you're climbing. I definitely want to make sure I do not cut shorter than the guideline. If you go a little bit longer than the guideline like just a smidge. That'S not a big deal again we're going to cut it later now for this next section, I'm going to come from all the way around to her side to want to press the hair against the scalp. You just want to slightly pull it down the first one. I'M going to do is I'm going to pull this back like this and cut a little bit right there? When you do the sides, you do not want the head forward. You want the chin level with the four. So the main thing with the sides and a bob is you have to be careful, because the ear is right here and if you cut too much it'll leave a little hole right. There, you're crying just tap that a little bit with your scissors. It shouldn't be too much left because I already pulled it back and cut it now, we're just feeding it up and we're going to do most of the cleaning off after it's dry now, because the hair is a little bit thicker and I'm combing through a lot More I'm using the wide toothed part of the comb, so I'm not using so much tension now because we're going to make this a leer Bob, I'm going to take this top section to go up and it was layered before so. I don't really have too much to cut and I don't want to cut too much more, probably not like, though this much we're going to cut and I'm also going to point cut it. So she has a lot of texture now. Another thing I'm going to do it after I blow dry: this is we're going to texturize it and that's going to add a lot of layers and do it too, and I'm rounding out my fingers see how my fingers are rounded and that's the way I want To cut it, I'm going to round off my fingers and I want the whole haircut to be rounded. This is a traveler guide and moving it forward. As I go, I always like to over direct the tap to go back up a little bit as you can always cut more off there later there's a middle parting and then around everything out on the sides being more rounded but more bringing it up and around To the back, you want to bring it up and around those forms. Now what I've done. I'Ve gotten my basic shape in there now I'm going to blow-dry it and finish it off. I'M going to blow this out with a Denman brush a Denman brush is nice because it doesn't take away from the haircut. It leaves it its natural shape, there's not too much of a curl to it when you're blow-drying it. So now we're going to do the cleanup and you really just need to kind of comb through it. It'S pretty much the length we want it and it's pretty clean. Now I'm just going to go through and clean it up, and you really just want to brush it against the skin and see what comes out when you clean it up whether it's pretty cut pretty pretty even and now we're just going to clean it up. Another thing you can do - and I recommend this is take a mirror underneath the haircut and then you can really see the hairs that are coming out or that are straying because sometimes it's hard to look underneath and it's just a little easier to see what you Have to do so, there's really not much. I need to do right now, just going to really have to almost get underneath it and get all those heroes underneath, and this is what's going to undercut it - you want to move her head around. You actually just want to sort of move their neck around, get them used to moving around a little bit and I'm going to tilt her head like this. I'M just going to come in it from all angles, and I can see all these like little hairs coming out, and this is what's going to make your bob to clean up. This is what's going to make your bob look really good, because you know if you have a nice haircut and then this here is coming out or sticking out off the bottom. It ruins the whole thing. So I can really just kind of go underneath here and pick out all the loose hairs, I'm going to do the same thing on the other side and a lot of times I'll have more hair coming on one side, other like this site, I can see some Harris coming out right here, I'm just going to cut those out pretty straight here along the bottom and now for the sides I'm going to. This is what I'm going to make a really clean and nice and a turn for cheer about that and before I touch the ear a little bit, I do that again, I'm just going to clean this off push it here in a little bit now, I'm going To go through the whole thing in texture is it, and this is how I kind of do the top take a section like this, lift it all up, and I fan it all out. You just sort of snip it a little bit as you're going take. Really fine pieces as you go, and I'm also going to go deeper within just a couple snips. I do the same thing I going to take about three big sections here, because you want it real flowy, whatever findout, I take another just a couple. Little snips in here not a lot, you don't want it too thin. You know what the answer is in it. Okay, here are the results. You

Anglynn74: I have a shoulder length bob type of hairdo with bangs. I wanted more bangs so I took the side hair strands against my face which were shoulder length & cut them forehead length, but it looks horrible since the bangs now mushroom out at the sides, will the side bangs eventually grow down to shoulder length again or did I permanently ruin my hair. I now have this bob straight on the sides with bangs sticking out on the sides since they were once long strands now way above my ear.

Elushka29: Love your technic , you are the best
