Cutting My Knotless Braids Into A Bob + Styling Bob Box Braids

Hey guys, what's up, welcome back to my youtube channel so today, if you didn't know by the title, we are doing the big chop, we're cutting our braids off, so i'm not gon na lie, i'm pretty perplexed about cutting them because a i love them this length. They'Re like down to my butt, which is ideal and b, i just love how the ends. Look, it's a little frosted at the ends. By the way, i actually did curl the into the braids like a week or two ago, and then i wanted to revert it back to like straighter. So i dipped it back in hot water, and this is what it ended up. Looking like, but yeah, i'm reluctant to cut it just because i do love how long they are, but i just feel like cutting them. Every time i do box braids, i love cutting them into a bob at the end, just because a you're about to take them out anyway. So why not and b bob box? Braids are a look, so today's video is kind of going to be two parts. One is going to be cutting the box braids into a bob and then for the second part, i'm pretty much just going to be styling. The braids and the bob just kind of you know seeing what it looks like. I did do my edges and we were fancy today we did a little. You know a little swoosh, a little dunk a little pullover, but yeah. I'M pretty much gon na take these out in about another week or two. So i figured why not just end out these two weeks with above box, braids and that'll be easier. So when i take them loose, i can just done okay. So first i guess is figuring out the length. I want it to be a straight up. Bob! Okay. I don't want medium length, i want bob, but there are a couple of kind of bobs, so i could go here. You can go here. I could go here if i was really crazy, but i'm not that crazy. So i think here, like straight up shoulder length. Bob no questions asked okay, we'll start with this side. I think i want it like here, one down a million to go and guys just in case you're wondering for people who are not subscribed to me on a regular there's, no fear of cutting my hair, because it is in no way shape or form all the Way down here so we're good, but if you have longer hair just be careful, i guess, because you wouldn't want to cut your own hair. That would be tragic, but this is, i think, that's like a good length, i think so after i cut it, i'm just going to go and use the age old trick. You know there are two ways to seal off the ends of box braids. You can use water, which is basically hot water, was used to seal the ends of these or you can use heat and burn it and then twist it in your fingers and it'll just really stop it from coming loose and it kind of curled under a little Bit, which i hope that they all do that like curl, because i kind of want it to like go in the shape of a ball. I don't know if i'm going to be able to help that, but we're going to try okay, these ones turned out shorter. I need to like make sure i do them all the same size relatively so choose your fighter inspired. So this is what this little patch looks like. I went ahead and just burned all the ends. I really like the length of this is that so we're gon na try to stay consistent notice. I said: try because we are gon na hope that they all turn out around this length, but as far as the end goes, i'm not trying to get it like perfect, like it doesn't have to be like super hard. I just wanted to burn it a little bit just so it's not going to come loose on its own. Naturally, because i mean i only have two weeks left, but i don't want them like falling out within those two weeks. They'Ve been unproblematic up until this point. Let'S keep it that way, but i'm obsessed with this so far also y'all, let me know, like i wonder, do people not like the smell of burning, kanekalon, hair or burning braiding hair, because i love it. I don't know if it's just because it reminds me of my childhood so much because i've been getting box braids since i was younger but like i love the smell okay, let's finish up this side and then we'll do side. Two. Hopefully it's been it didn't. Take too long so far it took about 15 minutes. I think to do these, maybe even less than 15 minutes, but let's keep going knockout. You win. Okay, we are halfway done. We got this half done. I think it looks really cute. So far. We'Re gon na go ahead and do the second half i think i got the hang of it now like. I was a little slow at the beginning, but i think this half will go by quicker, but we'll see all right, so we got them all cut. This is what we looking like. What'S up, i'm not gon na lie, though my thumb was starting to literally throb at the end, because i was using the same two fingers to twist up the ends of the braids. So i'm glad that's done with a few moments later, so so so so so, okay guys well, that's gon na! Be it for this video. I love how the braids turned out. I almost regret not doing this sooner because now i'm like ugh, i'm gon na, have to get rid of these in a week, but i'm gon na enjoy them for now. I hope you guys, like the styles, i think that they were really cute. I tried to do like diverse ish styles. Also. It was kind of the struggle because the hair is shorter, so little pieces would stick out, but i just kind of tucked them into the buns and ponytails, but that was gon na be for this video today.
