How To | Rubber Band Method Bob Box Braids (Shoulder Length)

#rubberbandmethod #bobboxbraids #shortboxbraids

I tried the Rubberband Method for the FIRST time! Queen Push Through with the short, shoulder length box braids. These bob box braids really cut down the braiding time to 2.5 hours. I

I used 6 packs of Rastafri braiding hair to get the thickness I wanted. I cut the packs in half before braiding. If you are afraid of rubber bands like me, try the clear ones (helpful tip from Naptural85).

Hey Queens today we will be using clear and black rubber bands Rasta free, braiding, hair and haircut. The key to this hairstyle is getting the parting and spacing just right. So you see that my horizontal part is pretty high above my knee and then the spacing is a lot of space in between each braid. So I have about four braids going across. Oh, you can see the clear rubberband, but we don't fix that later and then my next row is above my ear, my ear as a marker, I'm parting right in the middle here's a view of the spacing that I have in this row. Next, I will show you how to use the rubber band method, so you want to start out by putting some edge control or whatever hold you want to use. I take the clear plastic rubber band and I wrap it around one two three four times, and that is it. I don't want it to put a lot of tension on my hair or be too tight. Another key is to get the right amount of hair into each braid, so this is the amount that I use. I split into two sections, one being a little bit smaller than the other. Our section is to use the vertical line of the teeth and one of my older videos. I gave you all a great, in-depth tutorial on how to attach a braid and that video is my how-to spring twist. Tutorial definitely go check that out I'll add a link at the top of this video. So once you get your braid attached, you want to braid it down all the way to the collarbone. That'S where I stopped braiding. You want to attach the black rubber band at the end to secure. If there are any hair sticking out, you could go on ahead and just trim the size of the braids now for the fun part. I don't know why I like cutting here so much. That'S probably what my hair is always in the Bob bit anyway, so you want to cut right below the rubber bands. I don't like a lot of hair to be left on the end, so I've got as close as I could. Next, you want to adorn your crown honey Queen, push through hey, take a moment and press the subscribe button.
