Hi guys it's Meg welcome back to my channel and thank you so much for watching. So today I am finally going to cut my hair again. It has been a while, since I cut my hair last on camera and it's gotten pretty long, so I'm going to trim it up and kind of go back for a slightly longer angled bob. So I'm looking to take at least this much off of my hair. It'S just dead, it's split ends and it's looking ratty, so I am going to just get right into it. My hair is freshly washed. I didn't blow dry it and I'm going to wet it a little bit more because my curl is starting to come out and I want it a little bit wet to cut this time. The only thing I'm going to be using is a pair of cutting shears. I think I got these in either Sally's or Target you can find them wherever I do really like this brand. It'S the brand shape um and they're they're sharp, like they're, very good. I'Ve cut my finger a ton of times on these, I'm not a professional hairstylist. I'Ve said this multiple times in my channel, but if this is the first time you're tuning in thanks so much for watching, but I am NOT a professional hairstylist, I just enjoy cutting my own hair and yeah. That'S about it. So obviously, I have no idea about technique or layers. I just do what I feel is going to work for the style that I'm going for and that's what I kind of go for. There'S no real rhyme or reason to what I'm doing so. Just know that going into it if you're a hair, stylist you're, probably gon na cringe, but I just really like cutting my own hair. My hair go grows pretty quickly, so for me um, it's just easy to do it at home and I can do it whenever I feel like I'm just using a regular comb and, like I said some scissors, so let's go ahead and get started. Hey, Hey! Hey! Hey, okay guys, so I just want to show you the final product I'm going to take these rollers out. I think you will see me kind of thinning out the sides and the back a little bit by just running the scissors down my hair in spots that I know my hair gets really puffy and thick. So I did that um along the back and the sides, and then I just straightened it with my straightener and put it in these rollers just to cool. And whenever I have my hair cut in this style, I always straighten it kind of under a little bit. So that it kind of flicks under I do have pretty naturally curly hair um, so it will get like spirally and flip out at the ends. If I don't do that, the final look, it's still a little bit puffy just from being a fresh blow-dry, but hope you guys can see the cut. I actually think it turned out pretty good. I might have to touch the back up um after I kind of live in it for a few days. I will just keep seeing if there's any little hairs out of place um anything I need to clean up and I'll just keep my scissors out and trim it if necessary, or if I feel like it's still a little bit too puffy in any spots. I will go ahead and kind of thin it out as the days go on so yeah I feel like it looks pretty decent. I like the line um, I think it's a flattering haircut and yeah. If you decide to try it out, go a little bit longer than you think. The last time I cut my hair, I cut it wet and I forgot how much it like gets shorter once it's dry, so I would suggest just going about an inch below what you actually want. I'M going for the line and that'll leave room for any errors or kind of mistakes, but if you kind of obviously go too short right away, you won't be able to do anything about it. So good! Luck, if you guys try it out, I'm really happy with how it turned out this time. I'M super excited. It feels so much bouncier and fresh and just healthy. So I really love it like the cut. Let me know what you guys think in the description box down below. Well, that's it that's my haircut for right now I really enjoy it. I hope you guys like seeing this video leave a comment in the description box down below if you've ever cut your hair and your thoughts on it. I know hairdressers, like I said, are probably cringing right now, but I just really love it and I feel like I get a vision of what I want my head, and this is exactly what I want and I feel like it's easy for me to recreate, even Though I don't know the exact technique on how to do it, you guys so much for watching. I hope you guys are all doing great and I'll catch you next, video bye,

Donna Burns: Thank you for this instruction! You are quick and to the point, down to earth and not "girly". I have repeatedly gone to the salon asking for this hair style and have been told they cannot do a long bob like this. They then chop my hair off. I am so done with salons. I really appreciate your video. Donna

CreativelyReACTive: I absolutely love your haircut! Another trick you could do is pin your hair into a low pony- lower the hair tie to desired mark- tie your hair of again but a inch lower. Then cut between the hair ties and even the ends out before you loosen the first hair tie then release the hair tie and style as desired! I did that with my sisters hair and her hair looks great! Haven't even needed to trim anything else!

Amber Hubbard: Awesome! Looks really good! I cut my hair but it's super long and I just do an even straight cut. I have been wanting this cut and I think I have the guts to go for it today. Maybe just a little longer in case I mess up, I'll have enough hair to fix it without going super short. Thanks! Keep posting!

Mack Leslie: I love this video! I've been thinking about doing a long bob since your last diy haircut. Turned out great and thanks for sharing!

Hannah Torkington: Love this! Inspo for my own hair transformation. Exactly what I want. Lets hope I can pull it off as well as you did

Tricia Bradley: Great job.. Looks amazing! Im gonna try this style on myself today, fingers crossed it turns out as fabulous as yours❤

carterac0421: this is such a flattering cut on you and it turned out great! gonna watch again and maybe do this to my own hair! thank you!

Brittany VH: You did an awesome job! I cut my husband and my son's hair at home, just took out a book from the library and learned some great tips to achieve different looks. I recently started trimming by bangs at home to save time going to the salon and was surprised how well it turned out...not quite brave enough to go ahead an cut my own hair, but maybe one day when I go shorter (like yours!).

Darcy Pellicano: You always do such an amazing job!! I would be so scared to cut my own hair.

Karen McCann: It looks professionally done. I color my own hair, but haven't gotten around to cutting it myself yet.

Aimee Munoz: wow she legit just goes for it!! this is my millionth vídeo and i still have long hair!! :( great job

Jennifer Seberg: Looks great as always! I love all your hair videos!

Linda Dillon: Great job, Meg. It looks as good as pro's around here do it. Your hair looks a lot more healthy now after cutting the dead hair off. Very complimentary to your face with the angle you cut in the front of it. I need you here to cut mine!! lol Linda from Texas.

Megtotes: I've gone to this hairstyle a few times over the past maybe 2 years and every time I do it, I refer to your original video you did on cutting your hair!

Sapphire Wolf: It looks awesome. Thank you for sharing!

HARLEYQUINN: I love your hair and you did an awesome job!

tiffcre: this looks amazing! do you have a video on how you style it like this...with the rollers?

Stacie Lynn: love it!! i cut mine and my two daughters hair all the time

Jenn Hagan: Awesome job! I cut my own hair too. I find I do a better job than most stylist and I have $ left over for more clothes and makeup!

Jessica Davis: Came out SO good!

Donna M Burns: I have come back to this video over and over and over to correct disaster cuts by "professionals". I got so tired of getting my hair ruined, growing it out, bad cut again, etc. I have used this video to grow my hair out and control the damage myself. Although she keeps saying professionals might cringe, I think this is an awesome video. It is a bit fast so I paused it and typed notes to myself. I appreciate knowing how the average person can cut an awesome hairstyle. I love the long bob cut but one of my pet peeves is how it is cut straight across the back and then the cut is extended to the shoulders. This looks terrible and boxy. This video show how NOT to do that so the cut looks natural and flowing. Thank you so much!!!!

Xenia Reanda: Girl I've been looking for a video like this for this hair cut and nothing. I love it wooooowhoooo I'm excited to finally have a guide on how to do it

Eminy Sanz: I loved how it turned out. I want this haircut so bad but im afraid to do it even tho i cut my own hair before but more scare of going to a hair salon where i tell them to cut 2 inches and they cut 8!! No joking. No more hair salon for me.
