What'S up guys and welcome back to my channel if you're new here welcome and thank you so much for clicking on my video today, so let's just jump right into it. So today, i'm going to be using a new, shampoo and conditioner that i recently purchased the brand is giovanni and it's a hydrating clarifying shampoo. Now i am a huge advocate for clarifying shampoos, because my hair retains a lot of its own moisture. Like literally, if i am pressing my hair up, my hair will be oily in two days, so when it comes time to do a silk press, i find that using a clarifying, shampoo, just kind of slows down that oily process. For me just a little bit. So if you're somebody that needs your shampoo to give you moisture, a clarifying shampoo may not be best for you or maybe you'll, just have to go in with a really hydrating conditioner but girl. I love clarifying shampoos and i really like this one, because it has no sulfates pegs, parabens, etc. All of it's on the bottle um. But i really like the shampoo and conditioner combination. I was previously using the suave clarifying shampoo um, it's literally like a dollar or two that you can get in your drugstore, grocery store, etc, but that was kind of drying. Um again, it was okay for me because my hair could take that. But if you were somebody that wants to invest in a good clarifying shampoo without it being overly drying, then i would definitely recommend this brand. So now we're just going to go in with the conditioner and just apply a good amount, not too much, because i don't like too much conditioner in my hair, but a good amount just to kind of soften the hair back up. And then i don't let my conditioner sit at all. I just put it in kind of run it through my hair and then rinse it right back out all right girls. So this is what we are looking like after washing and conditioning it's still wet here. I just towel dried it so we're about to get into blow drying. Okay. So why am i just now learning that keratin products are literally the goat for the perfect silk price, so i found this chi keratin um kind of like serum. I guess i don't know i'll have it in the description box below but um. You apply this right before you blow dry, your hair, a good amount, not too much um, but literally it makes your hair so smooth and so sleek like it feels like when it comes time to press it out, like you literally just have to go through once Or twice with your flat iron, like you, don't have to keep going over the same piece over and over. I don't know. I just feel like keratin infused products are literally the goats of silk presses, so i'll definitely link this product in the description below um. But i feel like this was like a huge key in the way that my hair turned out so something i want to add um. I feel like i get asked a lot in the comments. How do i maintain like healthy hair while pressing my hair out um and the answer? Is i honestly don't press my hair out that often guys so during the week monday, through friday, i work out, and so it's impossible for me to maintain a silk pressed and work out at the same time. So during the week my hair is just in a sleek slick, low bun. My hair is honestly only straightened on the weekends, if i'm wearing my natural hair and then sometimes i just get so fed up with having to wear my hair in a bun. All the time so i'll do a quick, weave um. So my hair is not really my hair. My natural hair isn't really exposed to heat that often um, and i think that's how i'm able to just kind of maintain healthy hair, while using heat and also to like my hair, is pretty strong. It'S not really easily susceptible to heat damage. Um and i kind of think of heat damage differently than most of the world does so when my hair, when my curl pattern gets straightened out a bit, i don't automatically consider that damage um to me, that's more like heat trained, unless your hair is showing signs Of actual damage like thinning, breaking, etc, and my hair doesn't really do that. I do have some breakage kind of where i was wearing my middle part, and i think that was more so from just not switching. My part up from always wearing my hair. In a middle part, and then let's say i do notice that my curls are starting to loosen up a bit. All i really have to do is like stop putting heat on my hair for a while, and my curls will usually revert back to um how they were before. I don't have to cut my hair or anything like that. Like my curls always typically revert another question. I get asked pretty often in the comments is what temperature setting i have my flat iron on um and y'all. Don'T kill me in the comments, but my flat iron is turned all the way up. I feel like it has to be, because my hair is so thick when it's short and my ends are cut, so super blunt that if my flat iron is on a low setting like it's just not gon na, do what i needed to do and again i Think it goes back to knowing what your hair can take, because even with me, having the temperature settings turned all the way up like it's. So my hair is okay like it doesn't really affect my hair health in any way. So also, i forgot to mention that when i press my hair out, i find that the best way for me to get through it is to break it up in sections. So i'll kind of do a part like down the middle of my head and then i'll. Do the left side first and then the right side, and then i'll do like my front part like where my bang is last um. I feel like that. Just again helps me to get through it a little bit easier since my hair is so super thick and seems to be a lot quicker too, when i do it this way. So if you're wondering why i'm just kind of all over the place, that's what i'm doing do all right y'all. So here's what the cut looks like straightened um. That is how i originally cut it i wanted to. I was going for a straight look, but for today's video we are going to throw in some loose curls, just because i like to kind of give my hair a little bit more body sometimes, and the idea behind this isn't necessarily to have like a curly bob. It'S just to give my hair a little bit more, like i said, volume and body um, so i'm not going to curl my entire head, i'm just going to pick like kind of some random sections. I guess like starting in the middle a little bit and just go through with this conair curling iron. I actually just recently purchased this and i think it's a pretty good curling iron, so i'll link that in the description box below as well um, but also too, like my hair, does not curl well when it's fresh at all like it's. I guess it's too soft, and so it really won't hold a curl that well, but that's okay, because, like i said, i'm not really going for a curly bob look um. I just want some a little bit of volume, so that is what we're doing here. Oh, so here is our finished product. What do you think looks super cute and sleek to me it's giving high fashion it's giving. I am that girl, um yeah. Let me know what you think in the comments below also too, if you have other natural hair questions for me, please leave a comment below so i can answer them. I tried to think of the questions. I'Ve been asked the most recently and answered those, i'm pretty sure. I'Ve missed something. So if you have other questions for me regarding my hair, natural hair, etc products, whatever, let me know in the comments, um and yeah again, this is the final look. I am literally loving this haircut right now. I will probably never ever grow my hair out like there's just something about short hair to me. That'S just i don't know it's just sexy. I guess, but i hope you guys enjoyed this video and if you are new here and really enjoyed it, then please make sure you subscribe as well as always. Thank you guys so much for watching. You have no idea how much i really appreciate it. Every time you click on my videos, it makes me feel so super special. So thank you guys. So much and i'll see you in my next video

Starry Nights: Bob is definitely giving everything! I agree the type of hair you have depends on the heat it can handle. You have strong coarse hair. I have fragile fine hair so I have to be very careful with heat I can’t even use titanium flatirons! Question, do you put any moisturizing products, oils etc in your hair throughout the week?

1nitah: taking this as a sign to get a blunt cut ! you’re so beautiful!!
