This Organic Girl Final Going Gray Haircut

FINAL HAIRCUT!!! It's been exactly 2 years since I stopped dying my hair, and for the first time since I was 19 years old, my hair is 100% natural. HOLLA!

Getting this final cut wasn't the hard part. Committing to the process and sticking to it is really where I had to dig in. I wanted to film and share this cut as a symbol, and celebration, of this transformation. It's one that has changed me, both internally and externally, for the better.

So today's the day, It's been just about two years that I started growing out my hair and stopped dying it., That was April 2017, and it's coming up on April 2019., And here I am about to get my final haircut.. Well, I'm sure I'll get plenty more haircuts in my lifetime, but this one is epic because I don't know if you can see it from here., But I have you can see about two inches of color-treated hair left at the bottom of my hair.. Today, it's getting chopped., It's ceremonial, it's a celebration., It's an apex of everything that I've worked for and I'm so excited today to move forward and just be one hundred percent gray.. I mean I never thought that I would say that, like I always thought, gray was maybe letting yourself go or looking less than or just kind of giving in to the aging process and maybe stop trying. But now that it's been two years, I see that it's the total opposite of that.. I thought this was going to be just an external transformation. What'S really become an internal transformation and I feel so proud of where I am now. And I'm just so excited to see what this new look is. Gon na look, like., Okay, we're here at Creature, Studio. I just finished my haircut looks amazing. I was thinking to myself. This really wasn't the hard part getting my hair cut after two years.. The hard part was really starting and just making the decision to go gray and then actually doing it.. The beginning was just so hard letting my hair grow in and kind of, just being with feeling uncomfortable with that, but once my hair started to grow, I would say about six to nine months into it., Once I kind of got to about here. It was just kind of smooth sailing. Like my hair looked intentional., It looked like. I was trying to go gray and from that point on, it's just been a waiting game., So the waiting game has finally come to a close.. I legit have no more chemically treated hair. And to me, that's just a symbol and a celebration of everything that I've gone through to get to this point., And it's not really about today, but the haircut symbolizes kind of the transformation. That'S happened both inside and out., And I just want it to be kind of a celebration of everything that I've gone through to get here.. So I know this isn't the end of my journey. In fact, this journey is probably just beginning for me., But I'm excited to see. What'S to come., I feel more beautiful than I've ever felt in my entire life. And I'm just looking forward to kind of the new gifts that come my way.

EnergeticSoulHealer888: I cried with you, and felt your emotion deeply. This is about so much more than hair dye, superficiality, and insecurity. It is about women stepping into their full power and not being bullied by what society dictates, but dictating to society what we want by who we are. We will no longer conform to please others at our own expense. We are setting the rules now. Our hair is our crown, and we are celebrating our independence and individuality. THIS symbolizes no more female oppression via objectification, and the rising of the divine feminine in all of our beautiful, natural, authentic glory. We are using our crowns to take our crowns back, and it is absolutely DELICIOUS. I am on week 7 of going natural with my hair color. Back in Februaray 2020, I embraced my curls for the first time in my 52 years of life. I did a big chop of 14 inches, and HOLY MOLEEEEE, what freedom that brought. I can only imagine what no more hair poison will do for me, and my happy brain, ha

Shannon Smith: I recently cut my hair off- pixie cut short so I can reveal my gray. This year while caring for my dying grandmother something switched in my heart. I'm 36 (been covering gray for a decade now) and I said no - I'm not hiding anymore! I earned this crown of wisdom!

LaLadybug2011: You AND your hair are stunning. Thanks for making this video-I'm just a few months in on this journey of being my real self. Have dyed my hair for 37 years (I am 57) and am not getting support from my girlfriends. They think I'm crazy...but I don't care. New subscriber! ❤️

Alli Cat: You look beautiful. I'm 43 and just started my grow out 3 months ago. It's so hard since my dyed hair was almost black and my hair growing in is almost 100% white. But I'm so done dyeing it and committed

Sherri Lynn: I'm 48 and I also feel more beautiful than ever before. It was so moving to watch you OWN your age like a bad ass. I've been bleaching my hair since 11 years old and I have no idea what colour it is. I did my final dye just before xmas. It's like watching grass grow. I'm excited and I don't want to miss out on any part of aging. I love all of it.

Sharon G: I love it! I'm on this journey for the "2nd" time but I'm ready now to do this and just embrace it, thank you for sharing, you look amazing

Yoli Rankin: I feel like you in so many ways. Letting myself go. Unkept. Can’t wait for it to get better. Congratulations!! And I love that you said you just have to start!

Jan Van: Thank you for being brave & sharing your empowering story! I'd been waffling the last few months to try & decide if I could overcome what had become a societal view of women needing to fight their natural graying hair through chemical processing. One of my grandmother's had naturally dark brown hair that remained naturally dark at the nap of her neck with the rest of it beautiful shades of grey & silver strands. I've asked my stylist, who uses natural products, to incorporate some dark lowlights while I begin this process. I'm looking forward to a more natural authentic me! Thanks again❣ ‍

Joan Jensen: Love it! You look AMAZING!! I am about 3 months in and already super excited about the journey to grey!! Thanks for sharing your story :-)

Carol Gall: Two years! You’re so patient! 4 months in I had a friend buzz it and I love it! I feel the same way you described feeling, transformed. You look great!

thepickledpixie: You look amazing, I LOVE that cut! Your salt and pepper is like natural highlights. I'm at 8 months, growing out pure white roots against black dye. I'm 47 and have long layers that just reaches my bra strap.

Ginny Lorenz: SO inspiring. Plus the wonderful comments. I don't feel alone. I'm almost 77 yrs old, and have very little gray, and my very dark natural color (I think) is not flattering. You know, the 'older face needs lighter hair' idea. But I'm determined to be my true self inside and out. So let the chips fall where they may. On with the dance!! Thank you all, again, for the inspiration and feeling of support!!!!!!! Love from San Diego, CA. p.s Thank goodness for hats!!!!!

Elaine Boyd: YOU. LOOK. BEAUTIFUL!!! You almost made me cry when you were talking about the internal changes of letting go of the dye. I totally get it,. I' felt the same way when I decided to stop dying. Best decision!

AnnieLin Gray: Great video, thank you. You're right - it is more than a physical change. It is an internal adjustment - one of self-perception. I think it will take me 2 years to grow it all out and adjust ( am in 5th month) x love your whole "look", including your "owning it" attitude x

Maria Scott: Just found you! I stopped colouring my hair when we went into lockdown. I have been dying my hair since I went grey when I was 23 -nearly 30 years ago - and have wanted to stop for some years. I had 3 boxes of colour on standby -and still have- but it’s been 5 months and I’m still going strong. Sometimes I hate it but I’m sticking with it for now and am kind of loving it!

Chevonne: Almost 18 months into my silver journey now..had 2 major cuts already but still have a bit of colour left. You look fantastic!

Awake2Truth: Love your hair--beautiful lipstick too! You look awesome. I'm four months in, with long hair--yes a waiting game full of moments of reimagining ourselves.

Cath Nailtheday: Awww you made me cry!!! Your hair is STUNNING!!!!!! So happy for you! I’m 15 months in, I can’t wait to be 100% dye free xx

Linda Marocco: You look fabulous!!!!!!.., it was SO worth everything you did!!!..love it!!!...I am 63 and going to try it!...8 weeks in!!!!!

Slavi Славица: Hell yeah! I started growing out my greys two years ago (at age 31) - and I love it! You're so right about it being a very internally transformational thing too, and not just and aesthetic one. Now that I went through all that trouble growing it out- it's so liberating now!

Lupebutterfly: There you are! I saw a video of yours several months ago that actually made me cry. This video is also emotional. And yes, you look so beautiful, you are beautiful. I have a long way to go (just 6 months into my journey) but I already feel great and happy and peaceful. I don't care anymore what people may think or say. More videos please

amydd100: Awwww, don't you love it! Women celebrating their grey. One of the best things I've ever done. Thanks for sharing it with us. You look beautiful.

Viktoria R: This is wonderful and so inspiring! I'm just 21 weeks in, and it is challenging, but I'm committed to growing out my natural hair!

Michelle AW: as you were speaking in the beginning , I actually could feel along with you the emotion and deep feelings that you were feeling in my deepest of soul. I am on this same journey, and I can relate to your statement on feeling the most beautiful you have ever been now. If someone told me I would feel that way, I would think they were crazy. But being your ( my) authentic self, is so freeing and a way of me living honestly . I enjoyed your video, and thank you for being one of my silver sisters..

Anne Bialecki: Can’t wait for the near future when going grey is acceptable to all. Thank you for being part of that journey. What a feeling!

Rita Young: Looks great sister. Good on you for your growth on your journey. Inside and out.❤

Bcsingnteach: I stopped coloring my hair 2 years ago and haven't missed it...none of the process. Very liberating and empowering. I get more compliments now than I ever did my whole life with dark hair and then color treated hair. Congratulations!

A C: Thank you so much. I needed your video. After 43 years of having long black hair, yesterday I put it in a ponytail and cut it all off. Never in my life did I think I would have short hair. I’m in metro NY and after being in quarantine, I have close to 2 months of grey root growth and I’m deciding to commit to growing it out. It’s hard to explain as to others it’s a “hairstyle” but to me it’s so much more about identity. That if I’m natural I’m not young. Your understanding of this has moved me…and I’m forever grateful.

MG Naturals: very inspiring, thank you for sharing your journey! <3

Awake: Congrats Girl!!!! You made it and your natural hair looks FABULOUS! I'm a year and 2 weeks, dye free... with another year to go. SMOOTH SAILING here too. I'm loving it! Thanks for sharing your journey with all of us.

Mihaela Poplacenel: Congratulations! It looks amazing!

Virginia Newman: Your comments in this video were so on point and express my feelings 100% ...You go girl!

Rish Sidhu: Love it! It will be 2 years for me in November. Looking forward to the day I cut off all the dye. Thank you for sharing.

Debra H: Looks beautiful. So happy for you. Believe me, better to go dye free sooner than later. I have much more white which shows the transition (skunk) line. Your hair and health will love you for it.

Maria Avalos: Your hair looks amazing!! I started cold turkey letting my beauty crown show , been like since the 28th of March 2022. Its been a journey. But, Im ready, still going through all phases, challenges, looks, ect... Thanks for your support as well. May God keep Blessing U through your journey..

digital cassette: Looks so good your natural streaks are so nice!

Sweet Lips: Beautiful transformation! You are so inspiring, thank you!

Alexis Murshed: Looks so natural and pretty! I can't wait until my hair grows out. Since my hair reaches my lower back and I don't want to cut it I'm sure it's more of a marathon than a sprint for me!

mary ann Gonzalez: Hi Lisa gorgeous !!! I stopped coloring a few years ago , now I have a pixie with silver and dark brown . It is so wonderful to be free of coloring so empowering !

Cin Ma: I chopped off 3 inches today. But I have a way to go and can’t wait. I am 4 months in and loving how it’s looking. You look fabulous!!!!!

Ellie Y: beautiful!!! I just hit my 6 month mark in the process i’m just starting to see my hair pattern and God is a better colorist than i ever was because i love it. I can’t wait a year from now to see my end result with no dye on my hair thank you for sharing this video

tami h: Be proud! You look amazing, but it's also very apparent how good you feel! Sending you joy and happy thoughts!

Renata Figueira: It looks gorgeous you rock it :)

Lynsey: This was so lovely! Made me feel emotional! I am a year into my transition and I am so looking forward to that final haircut. Your hair looks fabulous.

Peggy Beltran: I absolutely love this You are truly YOU!!! CONGRATULATIONS

Mama B: Congrats and your hair is beautiful, I'm 7 months dye free, mine is grey on top but white in the front and temples

Missy: You look amazing! Love your color and the new cut

Zoe Kenny: Isnt it interesting that for us women its such a struggle to accept the ageing process. I think going grey probably is the most obvious symbol of that process and thats why we resist the evidence so much. On the other hand men seem to get the prestige and respect from ageing and grey hair can make them seem wiser etc. So if we accept that process then we are really saying that we are older and wiser and we also deserve the same step up of recognition!

Tricia Pimental: I just started growing my hair out gray and am inspired by videos like yours. You reveal a lot about yourself in the most tender of ways. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Isabel AB: I can totally relate! I am maybe two more haircuts away. You look beautiful!

Kelly Salihu: Great cut and your silvers are fabulous! I'm 8 months in and contemplating whether I want to cut to a bob or just letting it gradually grow with only regular trims for maintenance...

Donna O'Halloran: Looks awesome . I’m almost done, just shy of the 2 year mark....gonna make it!

Pamela Martinez: You look absolutely beautiful! I can’t wait for my transformation to complete!

Eileen Langdon: It looks beautiful. I’m letting mine grow out and this inspires me.

Lori From Edmonton: Congratulations on reaching your goal. NO MORE DYED HAIR. I’m sixteen months in and have at least till the end of the year before I’m done. I like your hair cut. It’s the same as mine.

judi singer: People pay big bucks for that look!!! Looks amazing! I have started noticing other ladies growing or grown out theirs and complimenting them! They are always so appreciative. I'm about 4 months in and just started wearing it pulked back with combs to help hide the skunk look. Pretty much gray back to where ponytail starts. Also doing some toppers and wigs. Just got a Sandy Silver Gia wig that I love the pixie look and the silver in front/S&P in the back. Just having fun with the process! You are a great inspiration for the look!!!

Barb Bright: Love it!!! Very encouraging since I’m just starting the journey

Boebutterfly: Awwe you almost made me cry .You look amazing. I am also going grey, growing my hair out the 3 months now.

Shahrzad Modiri: Great feeling. Good for you. I know exactly what you went through. It is a dedication.

R Mee: Looove the cut !!! You look stunning

Stacy Gooding: Thank you for sharing your journey. I’m two months in and need the encouragement hour videos share!!!!

God Bless You: You look absolutely stunning with the natural color that God has given you. How liberating and empowered and authentic you must feel. Bravo!

TASIAawful1: Your hair is a really nice dark grey. My hair is white so I literally can go 6 months without doing highlights as it blends in so well

L L: Looks amazing. I’m into my 7 month of no dyeing. I can’t wait. I will never go back to dyeing my hair.

Simona Michel: You rock. I’m waiting for this quarantine period to end to cut my hair that hasn’t been touched in about 16 months. It’s ready.

rose doualetas: I too took the plunge going grey and it was the best thing I did. It has been 3 yrs now and I think to myself why did I bother colouring my hair when I have such beautiful healthy grey hair. Good on you for taking this liberating path

Eve Mon: So pretty! It looks great on you!

Kate Shelton: Thank you for showing a video of your hair, most other videos out there with women growing out their hair are very light and you clearly have some dark still in there, which is what I want to see! I started growing out mine a few months ago but I still have a lot of dark hair still in there so I've been looking for videos of people with more the salt and pepper look. It really suits you by the way! You look fab.

BioluvsKatz&Bees: Looks beautiful... I’m on the same journey ☺️

Jordan Sainte-Marie: I’m not going grey yet but I went through this same process with bleach. It also took me two years to get a nice virgin medium bob. I’m excited to just let it grow from here.

UNBEHAVED: I love that Haircut! It looks amazing.

Linda Dow: Beautiful! I feel the same way. 9 Months, so far.

Judy Cook: Your hair is beautiful. You still have a lot of color mixed in but I’m sure it will be very pretty as it becomes lighter. After years of coloring and heat on fine hair, I needed to give it total rest. Covid came along so being at home along with the help of a couple of wigs, the transition was much easier.

Shannon Smith: Gray hair is a beautiful gift❤️

Becky: You are beautiful and your hair absolutely complements you!

MSR (MSR): I am a man. Bald and greying beard. I turned 40 yesterday. I used to dye my hair but Nov 1st, I decided to go gray with my beard. It feels amazing. I feel much better with my personality now. Another thing is we get too much attached to our self what we love like black hair and beard. but with time things change naturally. So how that attachment remains and because of that it becomes hard to let go of old self. Indeed we are always amazing beings at every stage of life. It just needs acceptance from ourself first. once we do it, every event is in our favor. All the best to those, who want to look what they are! You all rock.

TheGratitudeAttitude: I'm 3 months in ... I'm not going back... but the early growing out faze is tough isn't it! phew! Hairstyles right now are not easy... My hair is just a little too short for ponytails or buns... I'm wearing lots of hats!!! Any ideas or video recommendations would be great! Thanks for your openness with your journey... it helps us all more than you can know! If all women stopped coloring their hair, the economy would probably collapse LoL ! ~ Maria

AIWATE: Congratulations!!! OMG I am so happy for you! I am half way there, I am 12 months in, next April 2020 I will reach the 2 years mark also. I can't wait! Until then, I will keep wearing my hair in a ponytail until my first haircut with full gray hair. I am very happy of my decision to go gray so far, I like the different tones of gray and black (salt and pepper) just as yours. Patience is the key. Thank you for sharing your journey. It supports us all.

Polly: You look beautiful, your hair is gorgeous. Best wishes for the future.

Animal Revenge: Beautiful ! I am letting my grey hair grows, It’s going to take time but I like that. Congratulations

Fe Ly: Yaye we got this!! Just last Sunday I decided to wear hat because I decided not to dye my hair anymore I'll wait the gray hair reach till shoulder and I'm gonna cut my hair like that!! It's beautiful!! I love it

Ripley McCauley: My hair was dyed dark brown for quite awhile until about seven months ago I decided to lighten it up gradually and let the white/grey grow out.  Now I'm blonde with highlights and about 3 or inches of natural growth.  During this virus I'm using a lot of temporary root cover up.  First hair appointment since February is May 28th.  not sure what my stylist will do next? I'm really excited to be done and not have to dye my hair anymore.

Linda McNeil: You look awesome! Thank you so much for the video! It’s encouraging... I last dyed my hair 5 months ago and I feel so liberated. Right now it looks ombré.. my gray is coming in white on top and platinum on sides. It’s very interesting and I’ve gotten so many compliments. My hairdresser took some color off bottom and then added highlights but then toned them down. This process got rid of the skunk stripe. Can’t wait for my final haircut....thank you again!

angela ducci: Hi just found your channel. Congratulations to you on your two year journey to gray hair. Your hair looks beautiful and so are you. I'm in my 10th month of transitioning to gray hair. Hope my hair looks has beautiful has yours one day. Greetings from Montreal.

Dave Jarvis: Looks fantastic!

TheGratitudeAttitude: It is transformative. We discover our true inner selves ... I'm only 16 weeks in. I can't wait but don't want to rush through either (at 63 yrs of age... every day is special and a gift... ) God bless you for sharing this!

Tina Bonner: YOU LOOK AMAZING! You are so inspirational!! GORGEOUS!

Laura Hammond: You look fabulous!

Amita Morse: You are rocking it....bigtime! You look absolutely gorgeous in my opinion. My last dye was 2 mnths ago (I'm 52). I love it and I'm actually gonna enjoy the wait.....I want to enoy the whole journey!!! Thanks for sharing
