Hey guys, what's up or welcome back to my channel, so in today's video I'm going to cut my hair, I feel that it's time that I actually do that now because, as you can kind of see, my ends are pretty dead, they're so dry that I just Have to go ahead and just cut my hair off cut it off again, my previous videos that I did when I was showcasing how I cut my hair did extremely well. The response to my video was just amazing. A lot of you guys seem to really enjoy those videos. It helped you guys out by cutting your own hair. Save you some money too, as well, and a lot of you guys said that it turned out so well. I was actually gon na go ahead and just cut my hair on my own, but I thought you know what, since you guys enjoyed in the last few videos that I did when I got my hair, I'm gon na film this one and share it with you. Guys as well, I'm kind of nervous for cutting my hair, because I want to grow my hair long, but it's just not seeing right on me right now, because the ends are just so damaged, there's just so fried. I guess so. I just have to cut it off and just start fresh again and I kind of like the look of the short hair with the waves, so I'm thinking of doing that, I'm hoping that this cut will turn out pretty decent, but first I just want to mention. I do have a vlogging channel and if you guys want to check that out of a post a link to that page in my description box down below where you guys can check that out, I do some vlogging with my family. So it's a family vlogging channel and it's called fantastic five and I just kind of film random days that I film with my family, what we're doing so, whatever you guys are seeing me do here in this channel, it's totally different on the other channel. So it's kind of raw, it's like a raw footage of my life. So if you guys want to see what that's all about go ahead and check that out also, please follow me on social media. If you are not already, I am on Instagram snapchat and Twitter, and it is just sherry and rubble. You guys can find me on there with this name right here. That being said, I know you guys want to go ahead and see how I cut my hair. So, let's just jump right into this video: okay. First things first make sure to brush out all the knots and tangles on your hair just to ensure an easier cutting process. Next, I'm going to part my hair, where it naturally lays and then I'm going to split it in half down the back and then tie one section off to the side. Now here's a close-up of my dry ends and now you can clearly see that it is in need of a cut and with the left section, I'm going to brush it down as smooth as possible and tie a slick ponytail as close to the head. As I can having it as close and smooth will help create a more evenly straight cuts, basically repeat the same thing on the other side now with another rubber band, tie that beneath the ponytail you just did, this rubber band will act as a guide as to How short you will cut your hair so after tying it on bring it down? As far as you like to achieve the length you want so right about here is a comfortable length for me again repeat the same thing on the other side. Now make sure that both sides are completely even now you're ready to start the cut to do this cut right above the hair tie. I'M scared! I'M scared, it's not that much, but I'm still scared, but whatever let's go ahead and do it. Let'S just do it to be honest, this part is very scary, yet very satisfying bye-bye dead ends now it's time to reveal how the actual cut looks so far, I'm liking what I'm seeing, but, of course, we need to go in and clean the cut up a Bit as you can see here, the back is still a bit too choppy, so I'm going to go in and clean it up start by sectioning your hair off and work with the bottom layers. Comb, the hair straight pinch, your hair, with your fingers, slide it down until you reach the end and then cut off those jagged ends straight the kind of soft in the ends just a bit, I'm going to go in with the tip of my scissors and do A point cut to the ends. This will get rid of the harsh looking ends that you see now. Basically, it repeat the same steps to each layer until you reach at the top. After reaching the top layer, I'm going to run the straightener through my hair and straighten it out just so, I can see how the actual cut looks. Having it straight will help you see if there are any pieces of hair that still needs cutting here's a look at the back and clearly you can see the end still needs some work on. It'S still very choppy. I want that back on my hair to be straight without the point in the back, so I'm going to section my hair again and repeat the same cut. But this time I'm going to angle my fingers in a downward motion and cut the inner corners of my hair in that angle. Cutting it this way it will create a straight cut when you bring your hair to the back. That'S if you don't want the point down the middle, then go ahead and soften up the ends again. With that point, cut technique, again repeat the steps until you reach the top layer, I'm not going to be cutting any layers on this hairstyle because I'm trying to go for the clean blunt lob look. So here I'm pretty much just taking sections of my hair and cutting any ends that I've missed and again softening up the edges. So after all that I'm pretty much done it with the cut. So here is a completed look. I have to say that I'm really happy with how the whole cut turned out. It'S exactly how I envisioned it it's a very break. I didn't add any layers. I didn't turn it out or anything, because just keeping it very straight was the look that I was going for. So this is basically how it looks when they have some ways into my hair, and this is also how it looks like with it straight, because I know some of you are probably thinking. Oh well, her hair is curled because she's hiding the imperfections that she did with her hair. So this is my proof of showing you how it actually looks like with my hair straight the whole look that I was going for. It was very great and that's when the end look like that again, if you guys don't want your hair to be as straight as mine, then you can refer back to the video that I did when I added layers and send out the ends. But basically, this is what I wanted to do, because I wanted my hair to look like it was a lot thicker a lot fuller, but yeah. This is my own personal preference. I kind of got this inspiration from this photo of Selena Gomez that I saw on Instagram a while back, and I thought that you know what, when I had the chance come here, I want to cut my hair like that, so I finally did it and I'm Very very happy with how it looks like and if you guys are looking for the similar cut, just like what you guys see in this video here, like what you're seeing right now feel free to try this out. Let me know how it goes and how it works out, because I know a lot of you guys really enjoyed my past hair cutting videos. A lot of you also said that it turned out really well for you and I'm so glad that it did so anytime. I have a chance to film a video of me cutting my hair, doing anything like that kind of sort. I'M always going to share it with you guys other than that. If you guys have any questions about this specific video or this color, whatever please feel free to leave me some rushes in the comment section down below, I will try my best to get back to you guys answer your questions as best as I could and yeah Again, if you guys did like this video, please do give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel. Alright, that is about it for this video. I will see you guys next time.

Kaleigh L: I just did this to mine using your instructions and it looks AWESOME! No one would be able to tell I did it myself! Cut off about 4.5” (I had to have my husband help remove the “point” in the back so it was all straight). I never want to pay for a haircut again! Thank you!!

Nina Partha Music: OMG! I followed your tutorial and I love, love, love the result! I was so scared, and ended up cutting over 12 inches off, but I'm so happy :D Thank you so much for showing and explaining how to cut your own hair.

Ninja Airsoft: YESS GIRL!!! Easiest tutorial ever. I was scared to cut my hair then I added a little layering too after doing the basic cuts. You helped a lot. <3

Smidgekat: Thanks so much for sharing this. We're more or less out of lockdown in the UK - (for now) but a visit to the hairdressers is still too close for comfort for me. Mellineeeee: Just cut my own hair thanks to you! Came out perfect!!! Saved alot!! Your amazing!! And now I have become a follower

Vera: Okay I have tried it. I really underestimated how long it took. It took me about 1.5 hour! In the beginning it was really hard to cut while looking in the mirror because I am not used to mirror my movements, take this into account! Also the back is the hardest part. I cut my hair above my shoulder, so it is really short now and I am still not 100% happy with it, although I expected worse when I was a few minutes into it. So actually it turned out quite okay I think. Oh and one tip, use a water spray or some other water based spray to make your hair straighter, this really helped for me!

Jennifer Johana: Followed this video during social isolation and my hair came out beautifully! Had to tweak it a bit more and got some help from my boyfriend making the back straighter. Definitely needed the confidence boost with everything going on in the world. Most importantly I’m grateful with life for our health and praying for everyone else’s wellbeing.

Poochi: You made this look so easy and reading the comments I mustered up the courage to do this cut.....I shouldn't have I always thought I had very little hair but I really dont. I have so much that it was very hard to go layer by layer. Now my hair looks weird. I will have to make an appointment with my hairdresser.

Bhavna Rasaily: I've been wanting this cut for so long,I love it ! I'm gonna cut it ASAP, I'm sick of the dead ends. This quarantine got me here Thanks ❤️

Allie S.: I love the color of your hair, you're a gorgeous young lady! Thank you for the hair- cut demonstration- it's looks awesome & I followed your directions on my own hair.

Annett Demior: Thank you!!! The part where you said this hair cut gives you volume sold me. Cut my hair plenty at home but this way has been far the best. My results are so awesome. I have the thinnest hair. Cut it a bit shorter than yours. Still looks amazing. Thanks so much!

Edivania Santos: Amei! Vc foi minha inspiração, farei este corte agora para fim de ano... Bjus

Emily Helms: I just tried this with my hair!! It seriously turned out exactly how I wanted it to. I did the exact same steps that are shown in the video & it turned out amazing!! Thanks so much for your help!!

Zoë Baldwin: I’ve wanted this hair cut forever and I’ve cut my hair a fair few times before so I’m gonna give this a go. Thank you!

Natasha Allen: I used your tutorial to cut my hair today ! Thank you so much it was very helpful ❤️

Kimberley Dixon: Just done mine! Thank you for the video it was very helpful xx

Cherokee Biddle: Back after cutting my hair thanks to this video and i dont regret it feels so much better, i had such thick long hair and its summer in NZ so thanks Its a bit choppy cause i used kitchen scissors LOL but a quick straighten and curl does the trick love it thanks

Hori L: Looks great! I watched another DIY haircut and thought "I can't do that" but you made it look easy... Here goes! ✂️

Nidhi: This video was so helpful..I cut my hair on my own and I'm in love with it rn

BabyG: Did this and it turned out soooo well! Thanks!!

Citlalie: I did this today and come out so nice! 85% Professional cut ✂ No one would even know I cut it my shelf. Sh... Dont say anything. But thank you so much! I needed this ;) Tips: The back will look longer so ask an adult to cut it, just thr back part. With scissors cutting up.. Vertical. And blend blend blend.. Until you get a both sides the same length.

EHManjo: Just cut my hair and it looks pretty legit! Thank you for the demo :)

Jennifer Sanchez: Today I cut off about 7 inches of my hair and it looks so good! It came out better than when I go to a hair dresser, because it doesn't look choppy and I was scared it was going to come out that way because of my thick hair. If you want to cut your hair follow the instructions step by step. After I followed the steps I couldn't get rid of the tip on the bottom so thankfully my husband helped me and it looks great! Make sure you have someone to help you blend the pointy tips, I tried and I wasn't able to do it myself.

Serena Hoyos: I cut 8” off my long blond locks! It actually looks good ! My hair is very thick so I had to go through layers and even it up and the back is still a bit off, lol, but since my hair is wavy it all blends . It feels very light and I love it . I was so scared to do this myself but I am glad I did ! Thanks you’re beautiful!

Julee Cox: Thanks for posting this video!! I did my own hair today and love the look!!

Joejoe Sinnffiioo: I followed your video step by step and it turned out so beautifully<3 Thank you so much for this :)

Stephanie Petrie: This tutorial is perfect! My girl cannot get me in and I am dying to have shorter hair- so I did it! I have fine, medium thick straight hair.

Esra Strongie: Thanks for the help, I just cut my hair and it turned out just perfect!

Marilyn Ralat Albernas: Thanks for the video! I just cut my hair and it looks great... The video was easy to follow and the results for a DIY are wonderful

EmEyeSeeEiEeElEi: Stuck inside with dry-ass ends. This video got me through. Thank you!

Lunatheia: For anyone wondering, I've followed this tutorial 2 years ago and it's went really well. Back for some more cutting

Bethany CG: Thank you for sharing! I just spent a lot of money getting my hair cut and it’s nothing like what I had asked for I will give this a try today! You look great with this hairstyle

rachelliar: i tried it because i’m been wanting my hair shorter and I LOVE ITTT THANK YOU ❤️

Natasha Ann-Marie: This video helped me finally get the courage to cut my hair, and it turned out great! I did it the exact way you did it and I only needed to trim up the ends a bit and it feels great and my dead ends are gone!

yrrmawb2192: I cut my hair on my own without any experience. I was fed up with going to the salon and having someone do it -not getting the length I wanted and plus taking $30 on a straight cut that took literally less than 30 second for them to do! I am so proud of how it looked for the first time! Not fully even and I need to fix it a little, that’s why I’m watching this video. But man does it feel good!! Lol

Fifi Liu: Tried this about 10 minutes ago... pretty happy with the result thanks beautiful x

mveras: When a woman cuts her hair, she's about to change her life. _ Coco Chanel

I just did this following your tutorial and I swear, I‘ve never been so happy! It looks so good, and I feel so much better. This has been such a relief, holy crap. Seriously, if you can‘t stop thinking about chopping it off, just fucking do it. This technique works extremely well. I haven‘t been this happy with my hair in a loooong time. Thank you so much!

Kylie Clarke: First time cutting my hair!! I love it! THANK YOU THANK YOU ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Sharky’s Gaming Adventures: Thank u! This will show my husband for not letting me go back to the salon because he doesn’t like me getting my hair cut short! Also this is a better idea because I once had a hair dresser get nervous about me telling her what length I wanted my hair. She look at my husband & was nervous. So glad the last lady that did my hair had no fear & just cut my hair the length I wanted. Yeah my husband gave me a hard time about it, but I was happy & comfortable with my short hair. So thank you for this video. U have no idea how many ppl u are helping! ❤️

Nehil Danış: Hey, thanks a lot! It worked and looked amazing

Abrakadeborah: Your end result was very nice! I used to cut hair for a living and I was a Color Specialist. I was looking through YT for a new cut. I cut my hair too. I have yet to get a hairdresser here where I live to cut a straight line across the back of my hair...so I cut my own hair. :) I also color & highlight my own hair.

현아 Esther: So I just did this in the middle of the night and one tip I want to give to others: take into account how thick/thin your hair is when you tie it and how much time/force needs to go into cutting it through. I forgot how thick the ponytail can be and now my hair is like 2 inches shorter than what I wanted. (: ) help

Alison Ui Bhroin: I cut my hair twice using this video & it turned out well on both occasions. Thank you for the video

zena jewel: I've been wanting to cut my hair for a while and I've just been browsing for videos on it....thank God I finally found one that looks like a real, helpful tutorial! You're so gorgeous and this came out awesome. Can't wait to try it!

Mélanie Vallée: Just did it, thank you for this great tutorial

Frchka: I just cut myself a cute bob with this method and saved at least $50. Thank you!

Hannah Burke: I tried this! I went a little longer but I love it! turned out awesome, feeling pretty proud of myself and I'll probably go shorter in a week or two

Fran: Thank you so much! I hate going to the hairdresser and my hair was looking more and more ratty. I bought some hair scissors and followed this tutorial. I was pretty nervous but it turned out really well! My boyfriend needed to tidy up the middle bits that looked a bit 'pointy' but overall I was surprised at how nice my hair looks, and it looks so much healthier.

Laura Anderson: Thankyou so much, for this tutorial!! I was scared too death, to do it myself!! lol But couldn't afford a professional cut at the time... It actually turned out pretty good! ♥️

Cheryl Fernandes: Very well cut. Thanks for the instructions. Being a Hairdresser for 35 years, I would give you a 10/10
