You guys and welcome back to my channel today's look for flashback Friday. Beauty is the 1920s inspired hair, so very Gatsby finger waves, a faux bob kind of look and it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but I definitely had a lot of fun doing this. It'S kind of interesting, but if you want to kind of try out short hair or if you're going to a theme party, this is definitely the look for you. So if you want to see how I created this vintage faux bob then just keep on watching. Okay, so I've already parted my hair into a deeper side part, and you can really just put your part wherever you want, but I think this look looks a little bit better when it's a little bit more to the side, I'm going to be taking from the Tops of my ear all the way around so a little bit more than half of my hair and just tying it up, because we're going to be focusing on the back part right now, so to create the faux bob. Obviously you want to get rid of the length of your hair, I'm just going to braid it and then pin it really tightly to my head so that it becomes a flat surface and then the shorter layers of my hair can just fall on top. I'M just going to section the front pieces of my hair now into two. So let's put this side back because we're going to curl this one. Last look like a little princess, leia action over here. So we're just going to pin this over here and we're going to work with this section of our head right now. So with this section, i'm going to slice it right in half so that there's two layers bear with me, because my roots are not the greatest right now. So I'm going to pin up the top section and work on the bottom section right now taking my tummy and guy curling iron. I believe it is a one inch or just under I'm, going to curl this section away from my face. So, just taking half an inch section starting closer to the root of my hair, because I want the curl to be stronger there and curling it right to the root and I'm just going to let it fall. It'S going to be super curly. But that's okay, because we're going to brush them out anyway, so that becomes more of a wave again. You want most of the heat to be by your roots and then bring the curling iron slowly to the ends of the hair, and with this section we're going to curl it towards your face so that when we all brush it out, we're going to have more Of a wave effect so again taking one inch to half an inch sections are going to be starting to curl it towards your face. You'Ll forget yeah and you're going to do the exact same thing. You did on this side to the other side. Okay, so once you kind of look like Shirley Temple, this is the fun part, I'm taking a comb you're just going to start brushing these curls out so that they come more of a wave. Once you have your hair all brushed out to create that finger. Wave. Look in the front right here, you're going to kind of manipulate it with your hands and some clips place them where I want like the S formation to kind of happen. So you want the first piece to go back right here and then, where this wave comes forward, this is where you're going to clip another one, I'm going to let that set there just a little bit, I'm going to take some hairspray. This is the Marc Anthony oil of Morocco, it's not too harsh and it just kind of keeps the style in place. So I'm going to just spray this so that it looks clean and nice and sleek with the rest of our hair to create that faux. Bob effect you're going to take your comb and, in sections start to backcomb it so that it kind of looks shorter and more volumous and then, with the ends, we're going to take some bobby pins and secure it underneath to where we braided it in the back. Because that's now going to act as our base, once you kind of like the placement of your Bob, I'm just going to take out these clips you're going to notice that it left a really cool kind of like finger wave in the front. So again, I'm just going to kind of play around with that placement and you can leave the front pieces out so that you have like a little bit of length in the front. I'M just going to tease the bottom so that it shortens it just a little bit and there you have it it's kind of a fun way to shorten your hair. Try out a different look, very um gaps be inspired. So if you're going to a theme party or again, you just want to try something fun. This is a great way to kind of spice up your hair life, so I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial and you learned something from it give a thumbs up. If you enjoyed this video and I'll see you guys next time, bye,
