This haircut was inspired by Jennifer Aniston's 2011 new haircut. Razoring, scissor cutting, point cutting, are all demonstrated on the medium length trendy haircut.

Hi, I'm Timmy antenna module, layered, Bob, okay, we're starting off with her hair a little past her shoulders, and what we're going to do is we're going to do a layered Bob sort of we're going to give it some graduation in here and we're going to take It longer in the front, so it's an asymmetrical, look, pull everything down to the same length for her size, I'm just going to pull them back behind her ear like this and cut it like that. Okay, now we have established our length now we're going to start the graduation. Now I'm going to use my razor, my razor is um, it's a feather razor. It has a guard on it that you've changed like every, maybe two three haircuts and I'm going to be doing it on the inside of my palm and it doesn't hurt because of the guard and the reason I like to use the razor for this kind of A haircut is it just blends it so nicely. You don't have to use a razor. You can use your tool of choice. You can do the same technique with scissors, but I'm going to be using the razor. Now I don't want her graduation low. I want her graduation to be high. I started my section up higher as well like right over the ear right here, just where it starts to fall down just where it starts to concave in that's where I'm going to start my graduation, I'm going to cut off this corner right here, I'm going to Go up in a semi-circle, I'm just going to keep following the guy. Now I'm going to go back up the other side, so we actually start here and then I go up in a semi-circle this way, then I start back here again and we're going to work up in a semicircle. This way now my next section, I'm just going to take a small section across I'm, going to bring everything back to that first guide. We did, you can see underneath you can see the guide, we're going to cut that. So now I've sectioned out my rounds to get those out of the way. Now I'm going to section out a larger section out of the way, actually, all the way around Twitter sides are we're going to pull this up and then out at a 45-degree angle, and this is a moving guide. So I'm just going to keep coming along this way with it. Yes, I'm moving towards the side, I'm pulling it back, and I'm pulling all of this back. Okay and again, it's a 45-degree angle and direct it back now. For this last section, I'm almost going to be treating it like a long layered haircut, I'm going to be rounding that off so I'm going to switch from my razor to scissor. You want to be totally switching up techniques at this point. Instead of coming out of 45, now I'm going to be up and around, and that's going to give it that nice rounded, look that we need for this section. At the same time, I'm going to be I'm going to be connecting this with this, I'm going to be coming up and around like that, okay to drop your hands as long as your fingers are tight and it's very blunt on the ends: I've rounded it so I'M just going to go on there and chip into it a little bit too. You can point cut at the same time as you're cutting. I do both ways. Her hair is kind of thicker, so I feel like I have more control. If I just go back and point cut it after it's been cut the same ideas there we're going to be directing everything back, but we're going to be doing it in a long layer, technique see and the sections that it's a little bit finer I'll. Just point cut and cut at the same time, but if it's a little thicker like I was saying before I'll take two stops at it. You can see it's leaving it longer in front okay. Now I'm going to be switching from my scissors back to my razor. I like to do that with a lot of my hair cuts. I switch back and forth because certain techniques, I think, work better with razors and certain techniques work better with scissors. Now we're going to be pulling all of this back and I'm going to pull everything back into this guide up here. Just take a small section at a time, looks about half inch sections or depending on how thick cleaner is really and I'm going to pull it. If you look at I'm going to pull it sort of up and back with this, but it's very different - it's too hard for me to get at it with a razor up here, so I'm going to have her tilt her head back like this and there's my Guide right there, I'm going to pull all this back into that and also since her hair is pretty thick, I'm just going to go in there and texture it a little with the razor as well, and I'm just going to sort of slightly go over it. That'S going to add some texture in there, too, cut lost to the same guide and again, I'm going to take I'm going to texturize it a little bit with the razor, and you really just have to be very careful and sort of just dab at it. I just put in a fresh blade, so it's going to cut really easily, so you have to be careful to do it very softly. If I do it really with too much pressure, it would take too much out and I'm also going to reach into the sides of her hair. I'M going to be pulling all that back to to blend. You can texturize, where you think looks a little thick with the razor. Now I'm going to clean up the sides and clean up the length on her side. Really all it needs is a cleanup, because the line is there we're just going to okay. Now I'm going to blow it dry, I used Redken satin where we're going to blow dry this out with a round brush, I'm just going to put a little bit of a smoothing serum, I'm using the Redken glass. Just a few drops that I'll sorta break up the layers. Okay, these are the results. We'Ve got asymmetrical in the front some graduation down here and some layers, so that's it.

Dona 4 Him: That's a really nice haircut! I've been wanting to have my hair styled for a long time after my cancer battle, and my hair grew back out long enough to have it done. I think it's time now. I like this a lot! Thank you!

Dhruvee: I actually loved this haircut so much i tried to do it on my own hair myself! Came out really well as your instructions were so easy to follow! The only obstacle was cutting my hair at the back! But i managed and it came out great! Thank you so much for your amazing hair cutting tutorials! :D

Linny Lou: Tammy! Thank you for this video! I now can see how to create this look and see what I was doing wrong before. I always started my graduation too low. You were very informative! Thank you for this! :)

purplebubba3636: Thanks Tammy. I just finished the haircutting portion of the first few weeks of school. I'd like to give this a try one of these days for a credit at school. Looks simple enough to follow along. You didn't seem to take too much length off either so it looks like a nice repeatable cut.

ARippey100: Great video. So helpful and you give plenty of tips during, just as you did in your highlights tutorials. I now highlight my own hair and love doing it. Thanks for all your hard work ;)

Laurie H.: Her haircut looks amazing. You did a great job and I wish I could have you cut the same cut in mine! I love it!!

Brattiness1: This cut is amazing! I have long hair and I simply can't do a THING with it! I am tired of the long draggy look and am taking the plunge very soon. This cut is what I am going for.. just minus the razor part as my hair does not respond well to that tool (previous experience was a disaster!). Great job BTW, you nailed this cut and did a fantastic job on it and the tutorial :)

mindxcircus: Hi Tammy! I LOVE THIS CUT! I will try it on my sister :P. I have great passion to learn hairdressing, just wait until i graduated college! Thank you so much for being generous with your knowledge and skills! Big thanks all the way from Malaysia!

I seem to have problem sectionning and i know this is where everything starts... I have 2 questions: Could you tell me please how wide is the top section and how long is it for that same section? Thanks so much!

suzanne valentine: Lovely hair cut Tammy, cant wait for your next one <3 xox

Kaitlyn Davis: LOVE this haircut!! I have thought about getting my hair cut like this for years. However my hair is quite thick, every person I have seen this hair cut looks to have thinner hair...do you think it would work for thick hair as well? thanks!

No more War!: I loved it,thanks again for showing us your hair dressing skills :) Just wondering...Did you have any front angle pics of the end result?

lilsexymexy: This was really cool to watch. My mom was a cosmetologist so I grew up in her hair salon watching her do this. Great video!

Prudence Newton: Great job.... Going tomorrow for a layered bob. Hope they do just as good.

Georgette Orwell: You're excellent at showing the "how" of your method. Your tutorials would improve 100%, however, if you also provided the "why". Knowing the goal for any given instruction always helps. Just a friendly tip. Otherwise, good job. Thanks.

chick pea: Thanks for answering my question I had a feeling it was because she had diff. layers in her hair. I thought the video was really good, informative and I did love the final haircut and the back looked really good as well. However I would be really scared to have a razor used even though I know it looks scared.

S212S2: I've watched this many times. i love this haircut so much

Bee Humble With Me Vicky: Very nice haircut! Love it!

Small Travel Gems: I love this video! I've just cut my hair, myself. Process was too long, but  worthy. I have hair I want, without worry would the hairdresser cut too much!  Could you please share video, how would it look on longer hair (longer then this for about 5 inch)

Cassie MUA: @favatat yeah ur so good and explanatory i'd love to see your interpretation of one of her cuts. i'm a hairdresser too but i dont have a lot of expierience yet so watching ur videos def shows me diffrent and new techniques to try!

ImaTelliTrue: I have finicky hair it's very fine&thin so*The Rachel*& Meg Ryan I'm city of Angels are my best cuts I have had Rach20times&Megs10timesVideo instructions were awesome as well as the step by step how to's...However a front shot of the haircut head on would've made it better for me@least. I had a hard time visualizing the Rachel cut just from the sides bc it wasn't split straight down the middle part was kind-of on the side in the very front&she had way shorter front pieces forming her face&but this look really reminded me of her hair in the later years awesome video .... Just some thoughts

Ecoralluzzo: just wondering why the second section you did of the layering was horizontal?? I just thought it was interesting and have never seen that technique:)

glendita78: This is what I want. What or how do I ask for this haircut?

Clinton Fernandez: when jen stays this hair is gonna be awsome

MagoLerio: Good job :D

Cassie MUA: @favatat ur welcome! thanks for postin these vids for pple who want to learn

KrystalANDShenna: Pretty!

chick pea: The way you cut this hair was fab but please answer me this it looked like that one side (the left) seemed longer then the right - their seemed to be a chunk missing from the right side was this because she had a fringe that she was growing out? I have a bob and I have a very dominant side parting my hairdresser cuts my hair from the side parting and not from the the middle to make sure that one side is not shorter than the other and I do like it the way she does that.

Jasmin Ramirez: my mom did this by herself all thought she didn't use the razor

Kirby Sheidow: Nice cut.....I would have personally went in and did a little bit of dry cutting afterwards.......But we all have our ways! Ciao ;)
