Family holistic, counselor Rochelle shown, and today I'm making this post to warn my Queens, I'm sending out a PSA, please, let's stop using Kanekalon hair aka, braiding, hair aka cackle on here with some people calling in South Florida. Many of us do not know that Kanekalon hair is made with a chemical compound that has been listed as a carcinogen. The two chemical compounds are acrylonitrile and vinyl chloride. These two chemicals affect the endocrine system, meaning that they affect the glands in the body. The hypothalamus gland, the pineal gland the thyroid gland, how many people dealing with thyroid issues. The ovaries has been known to cause endometriosis breast cancer reproductive problems. It has been studies done in rats that these things can kill you, so why, in the world, are they allowing this to be put into our head? It'S put into our head, it is absorbed through the skin and some of us are inhaling it and the end result is it's a carcinogen, stop putting this in our young Queens here.

SimplyTemie: This is helpful, I’m glad that you shared it on this platform for those that aren’t aware...

Scorpio GirlVA: You can't trust synthetic hair. Last year, I purchased a blue weave and the dye from the hair was so harsh on my skin I had to take it out. I had to boiled the weave in hot water before reinstalling it again. Prior to boiling it, I had washed it numerous times and it didn't work. Boiling the hair did but it also stripped some of the color. This synthetic hair isn't worth it!

Ashly O: My mom does my hair so she knows how it’s suppose to be done and she does them really well not tight and nice

GOLD's DIVA: Thank for this vital info

Angela Oluy: Wow thanks for sharing this important information.

J.Renee Thompson: Where did the video "Kanekalon Hair Should Be Illegal" come from? I have look for the original video on You Tube and can't find it. I am needing to know did she go to a neurologist or do she have some kind of medical proof from a doctor to verify what she is saying? Not saying the information you have given is not correct, I am just trying to gather all the fact. We know Acrylic and Modacrylic Fibers are used for a variety of purposes, like the production of carbon fibers, apparel, home furnishings, carpets and rugs, and in other industrial and consumer applications (e.g. paint-roller covers). I am just wondering why are we allowed to purchase this such as rugs and carpet in our homes.

Flying Black Bird: Come on sis, I just got decent at braiding my hair.

vinell wooden: did you wash the hair before use-ing it with apple cider vinegar.

Moore Holistic: ACV won't get rid of the toxic effects of the hair.

Christina: What are some nontoxic brands?

nayaa: I have braids but not fake hair when I mean braids I mean my mom braid my hair with my hair not fake hair we no!

Kayla Steen: so which hair to recommend?
