#HowToDutchBraid #HowToBraidYourOwnHair

Hey guys Welcome back to my channel today, im going to show you step by step, how to dutch your own hair for beginners, remember to subscribe and like this video, if you find it helpfull and let’s just get into it. The first step is to take a section of hair from your forehead to the back of your head., Then spilt, the hair into 3, equal sections.. So now you should have a left strand, a middle strand and a right strand. Then take the right strand and cross. It under and into the middle. Then take the left strand and cross it under and into the middle.. Now move all of the strands over to your left hand., I hold the strands like this.. My pinky holds the left strand and then I grab the right strand with my thumb and index finger and then the middle strand is just hanging loose on top of my hand.. So here is a slow replay of how I grabbed the strands with my left hand. So you can easier see how I did it. Now pick up a new section of hair on the right side and add it to the right strand. So just slide the hair in between your thumb and index. Finger.. That way, you have automatically added the new hair to the right strand.. Now you have to cross the right strand under and into the middle, so just grab the middle strand. That is hanging loose and pull it to the right side, and then the right strand is automatically placed in the middle.. Now move all of the strands over to your right hand, and this is how I hold the strands. So my pinky holds the right strand and then I grab the left strand with my thumb and index finger and then the middle strand is just hanging loose on top of my hand.. So here is a slow replay of how I grabbed the strands with my right. Hand. Again pick up a new section of hair on the left side and slide the hair in-between your thumb and index finger to add the hair to the strand., Then cross the left strand under and into the middle, so just grab the middle strand. That is hanging loose and pull it to the left side, and then the left strand is automatically placed in the middle.. Then move all of the strands over to your left hand, holding the strands the exact same way as before. Then pick up some hair on the right side and add it to the right strand. So again just slide the hair, in-between your thumb and index finger. To add, the hair. Then bring the middle strand over to the right side, so the right strand is placed the middle. Then move all of the strands over to your right hand, holding the strands the exact same way as you did. Before. Then pick up some hair on the left side and add it to the left, strand. So again just slide the hair in-between your thumb and index finger to add the hair. Then bring the middle strand over to the left side. So the left strand is placed the middle. Then move all of the strands over to the your left hand and then pick up a new section of hair on the right. Side. Then add the hair to the right strand and bring the middle strand over to the right side. So the right strand is placed the middle. Now move all of the strands over to the your right hand and pick up some new hair on the left side and add it to the left. Strand. Then bring the middle strand over to the left side. So the left strand is placed the middle. Again pick some hair up on the right side and add it to the right strand. And make sure you got all the hair. So there is not a small hair piece hanging. Loose. Then bring the middle strand over to the right side, so the right strand is placed the middle. Again pick some hair up on the left side and add it to the left strand. When there is more more hair to add in then braid the rest of The hair, like a basic 3 strand braid When you get to the end, then tie the braid off with an elastic, and then you are done.. So that is how you dutch your own hair step by step for beginners, and I really hope you liked this video and found it helpful. If you did, please give the video a thumbs up and remember to subscribe and click the notification bell. So you never miss a new hairstyle.. Thank you for watching, and I will see you guys in my next video D.

Sprxnkless: I think this is the most helpful dutch braiding tutorial ever! You are so good at explaining things!I will definitely try it out tomorrow morning

JazzyCher: This tutorial is a life saver. I've been growing my hair out in the center while shaving the sides for a kind of faux hawk look specifically to learn to braid it like this for a kind of valkyrie look and I was struggling so hard to learn to braid it on my own. This video made it so easy and simple I love it.

dani019: Thank you for this tutorial! Dutch braiding always looked so hard so I never attempted it but your tutorial was so easy to follow. I'm surprised dutch braiding is easier than french braiding!

Yango Sakurai: You did a great job taking the time to break it down point by point and the slow replays when needed were spot on. Excellent tutorial

Marcy Beasley: This is brilliant thank you. I do good until at the bottom of my neck and then end of dropping everything cause my hand placement was messed up. You rock

Jelena Curic: I never was able to braid my own or anyone else's hair and I did this in 5 min. Brilliantly easy tutorial!! Love it

Aileen Yan: THANK YOU this is the best skill I have learnt in a long time. Always wanted to braid my own hair by myself instead of always relying on my friends and omg took 4 attempts and I’m so happy rn.

Erica Martinez: I never thought I’d learn any type of French braiding or anything. I did my first Dutch braid tonight, thanks to your video! I’ve watched so many tutorials and could never get it until now. Thank you so much!!!

Flannel Acres: I've watched so many tutorials on Dutch braiding, and yours is the one that finally clicked with my brain and hands! Thank you!!

Kristena Cook: This made so much more sense to my brain than the French braid, which almost brought me to tears. I finally have braided my own hair using this Dutch braid tutorial!!! Thank you so much!

The forgotten Melody: I really appreciate that you explained hand placement. It makes the tutorial so much easier to follow. I've never been able to Dutch braid hair before and everytime I try I get closer to a good braid

Amanda Tanner: I have been trying to braid my hair my whole life and could never do it. I finally did it after watching this! The hand placement was key and helped so much. Thank you!

Michelle Hooi: Thank you so much for explaining it so well! Love your videos!!!

Olivia Jensen: So incredibly helpful! I got the hang of it within 15 minutes!

Gillian Devoy: Thank you for this! This is the only video I've ever been able to do this type of plait to, you made it very easy to do

Camila Tabares: My hair is short so it got messy at the end but this is still the first time I’ve actually been able to do this braid! I want my hair to grow out so I can make it look nicer!

Prerna Pandey: I tried out and it turned out great for the very first attempt...loved your video ❤

SSNUTHIN: OMG this helped me so much I finally understand what I am supposed to be doing I've been trying to figure out plaiting for years. Thank you so much!

Mammon: This helps so much thank you for your amazing videos

Ina: I've short hair and keep trying this just on the side and it's hard getting it tight since it's hard holding short sleek hair without it just slipping out. But this turitorial was by far the most helpful. Practice'll hopefully make it perfect x

Ayesha: Omg thank you for this. I always had to nag my sister to do it for me but now I can do it on my own! Thank you

Selena Martinez: So much practice but omg I finally did it and it looks better and better each time!!!

Rose: Thank you so much finally i did it on my self i was able to do it on other people but not on my own but now i can do it on my own Tip: 1- remember that the angle of your hand would be different if your doing it to somebody your thumb would be facing up and the pinky finger would be down but when you do it on your own your thumb would be down and the pinky finger up Tip: 2- you can do it on a doll it would be better if it was a big one once your are comfortable and satisfied with what you did do it without looking on the doll because you wont see your head while doing the braid + remember keep you thumb down and the pinky finger up Tip: 3- don’t pull the braid away from your head your hand should be sticking to your head go down with the braid Tip: 6- when adding hair don’t make it loose you need to pull it and make it tight Tip: 7- its ok to rest your hand but don’t forget the next step Tip: 8- (optional )when you reach the end of your head complete the same way you did the braid if you took the right section under the middle section do it till the end so you would feel that the braid is connected to each other . Tip: 9- practice makes perfect if you did something wrong know what the mistake is so you can avoid it next time Tip: 10- take a photo of your braid you can see if there is a section loose or if you did a mistake

Abigail Slone: I am 25 years old and all I knew how to do was a simple braid. I successfully braided a dutch-braid after only two attempts while watching this video! She makes it so easy!

Sarah Panther: Thank you for this! I actually managed to get it done! Kinda badly and with plenty of room for improvement But now that I know what to do, I can keep practicing

Nicole Barnett: I finally got it! Thank you for the clear, perfectly-paced tutorial!

Petra Wnek: I am being honest rn, this is easiest Dutch braid tutorial I have ever seen bc their always so hard but this was so much easier! Thank you soo much!

Renee Lortie: Thank you! I can finally Dutch braid my hair!!

Galaxy: I haven't been able to do it but youre the closest i've gotten! I keep faling at the end but can finally do the top part

Emmy Googoo: I watch this video like every other day bc it's so satisfying knowing this is the main video that taught me how to braid my hair and then I learned to do it on my daughter. I just learned this not even 2 weeks ago :)

Maya Da bee: MY ARMS ARE DIENG

Rainbow Smiles: Thank you so much!!!!!this is the best tutorial on YouTube i just tried it and result was so good:)

Neha Najmin: Thank you so much for teaching us these hair styles in very easy and calm way.. Salute to your work

Natalie Sheff: THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! I love the way you braid. because of you dutch braiding is easier than french braiding!!

Katie Goram: I got it on the second time ! Great job!

mia varshavski: This is helpful, finally, I did it for the first time. Thank you

Sky: Thank youu. Hopefully I’ll be as good as you at this soon. I love your hair btw!!

Drifting Fox: What makes this the best how-to is that you are slowly describing hand placement, not just "grab, mix, grab, mix." This helped me out greatly in not getting the different parts mixed up and ending up with a messy braid. Thx!

Jemma Pinnington: omg I did it, thanks for clear tutorial<3 loveeee

Anomie Normie: I’m an asian dude tryna braid my undercut, and asian hair is so goddamn slippery I’m gonna end up crying on the bathroom floor every time I attempt this.

Lili An: I did it on the first try! Thank you so much!

Amanda Allen: I can watch this video a hundred times but when I attempt to do it on my own hair, I lose control of the braid..

Lone Simone: Thank you, you made this so easy

Kara B: I can barely do a bad normal braid on myself but the first time I followed this I managed to actually Dutch braid my own hair on my first attempt!!! I took lots of breaks for my poor out-of-shape arms and the braid could be better but practice makes perfect and I'm so pleased with myself for managing a Dutch braid! Thank you so muchthis tutorial was so incredibly helpful, I really appreciate how well you describe how to hold the strands, I'm excited to watch and try your other tutorials :D

Deanna B: Thank you sooooo much. I have long, thick hair but never got into braiding, not sure why, I often had a lot of layers in my hair, though. Your channel, and specifically this style video is exactly what I’ve been searching for! Just did a dutch braid on myself for the first time! It’s hideous but I have the basic technique down and feel very accomplished haha

Misty Mockingbird: This hand position made it easy to remember to grab from under, not pull over. Now my daughter's hair is lovely. Thanks!

ILovethissongnow: Wow!!! Thanks so much! I was struggling so much cos it took awhile to figure out where to put my fingers but this tutorial helped so much! I slowed it down to 0.5x speed for the first few minutes tho! HAHAHA

Sky Cloud: I've watched a ton of Dutch braid videos. This one gives me the most hope!

Catherin R Kundukulam: wow...I did it!!Thank you so much...

Shen Nie: Thank you so much best tutorial! I finally did it on my own!! I don't know why I did it at 10 pm...no one will see it‍♀️!

mikey ♡: I can't see anything without my glasses so im having the hardest time braiding my own hair even with your amazing tutorial.... can't wait to get my new contacts and try again

Gayathri Janakiraman: I got this... Thank you for teaching me how to do this...

super-who-lock-vampdiaries: Thank you for this ! Could you do it for the double Dutch braids on yourself next pleaseee

Candice Clark: I’ve been trying to learn how to French braid my own hair in two braids but I think my problem is watching someone show how to do it from the front verses the back makes it mixed up if that makes sense. Would be cool if you did a video showing like partial top view and then the back view of how to french braid two braids on the head kinda like how your showing it in this video cause I feel it helps me visualize my hand placement better seeing it being done from this angle. I haven’t seen many videos like this one showing it from the back and I love it! Now to practice!

Shri: At first I knew to French braid my hair but didn't knew how to dutch braid. And now I can't do both Thank you so much though♥️

Claire Trybom: i feel like i fail at being a girl. i just keep failing

M: OH MY GOSH I LOVE YOU SO MUCH i have been trying to do braids like that for years ad i had watched so many tutorials and yours is the oly one that actually heped me God bless you :D

Queen Bee: I would love it sooo much if you do 2 Dutch braid ✨

Boulette: Thanks for that ! The hand placement is the real key :)

Chitra Bhadoria: My arms starting hurt doing this But you teached real good

Ellie R: Lysm I finally did it on my own

Sadia Raisa: Man. This one reallllyyyyy helped me . I followed your instructions and kept singing ‘ right in the middle’

valthewise: My biggest struggle with this braid is that the sides at the bottom are ALWAYS loose!!! Do you have any tips on how to fix that?

Marica!: You are the best! I didn't even look at the video and i just tried and for my first ever attempt I did it!!

‎ꔛ ꙳ ⋆ Mystic_M𖦹chii!⋆ ꙳‎ ꔛ: Hi so my arms start hurting when I braid my hair so can I reduce the pain somehow?

Bangtanholic: I finally done a lot of knots in my hair and iam dying to remove it

Amanda Allen: Is it possible to start the braid by taking the top part and making into a ponytail with a clear elastic and then doing the dutch braid like it is Done here? Just asking because that is how I start to lose my braid, is if I dont have a starting ponytail to work with..thoughts please?

rain: Thank youuu lemme try it!!

Muneeba Ayaz: Thank uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu❤❤❤❤❤ i was struggling so much to do my sisters!! ur amazinggg

Danikaa Mahabir: Thank you this helped me so much

YourPreppyAcc: me feeling so confident to do this hairstyle. Me in the process of doing the begining step and remebers i dont even know how to braid

XxSam3_ SSB: No matter how much times I try .... I can't do it on my very long hair . My hair comes to my hips

Kaylan Youngman: Thank you for the video, and I adore your voice!

Jyoti Dasila: This is so helpful video

Ari October: "Under and into the middle" just repeat this over and over while you do it so you don't lose track of what you're doing and start french braiding lol also your accent is SO CUTE!
