How To: Two Extra Long Braid Ponytails! (Easy Method) + Outfit!

The braids ain't yellow when i want them listen. Let me tell you something: i'm about to slay, so you might want to watch the entire video. My hair is freshly washed. This is what it's looking like. It'S natural or tgin daily moisturizer, all over my natural hair, i'm trying to think of like a real that i can do for this hair transformation. Before i start blow drying, so i'll have my footage to make an instagram real with this as well so i'll be taking the ors olive oil thermal last. This is a two in one heat defense and a shine mist. It'S infused with grape seed oil for heat protection and i'm just going to go ahead and blow dry, my hair just to kind of blow it out. Since my hair is natural, it's not chemically processed and as far as my blow dryer goes. This is the red by kids detangler blow dryer, i'm setting it on cool and i'm using the highest speed, and i'm just going back and forth between using the actual comb detachment or i'll just use a brush to blow my hair out. This will make it more smooth for the braids. You do have the option of flat ironing your hair to make it even more straight. I chose not to do that. Method definitely do what you would prefer i'm using a red tail comb, i'm going to first section off my hair to a side part which will later transition into a middle part. I do have to apply my dermatologist prescribed ointment. This is the triumphanol acetonite. It just keeps my hair from being flaky, and all of that, since i do have psoriasis of the scalp just lick, my hair even further today i'll be taking the even new york 24 hour edge, timer one. They have like a green top, a purple top and a black one. All of these work very well and by running that down my part and then repotting, my hair, i'm able to get it even more straight, so the first time i parted my hair. It was just sort of to get an idea and also move my hair out of the way to sort of begin guiding it. The way i want it to be, and i'm just defining my part running the gel or your edge control down. This is the reason why i did not choose to flat iron, my hair, although it is going to have a little bit of a wave to it. It'S not really a big deal to me so continuing that same process all the way to the top on both sections taking the molding paste and then taking the edge control. If you don't have the same products, i'm using definitely use products that you love and that your hair will like. But if you choose to use the exact same products that i'm using, i will have all of them listed and linked in my description box. For you all down below so just to cover a few points on questions or concerns you all may have, your hair doesn't have to be freshly washed for this style. I chose to wash my hair since it had been washed in about a week and a half. Also, if you, for example, get your natural hair strained out or your relaxed hair since a blown out look is preferred for a style like this. That will be the perfect opportunity, before your wash day, to give a style like this a try. So once i have my hair into the ponytail, i'm going back using the 24 hour edge timer by ebay, new york to lay and slide my edges, because your hairstyle is not complete if your edges are not on fleek. I feel like i haven't said that in a long time, once i'm satisfied with the way i've laid my edges, i'm taking an even more coarse type of brush just to smooth my hair one final time, then i'm going to take two scrunchies just to be sure And loop that around about four times taking the pump it up. I didn't do this to the other side, not by any means necessary, but i'm trying to make sure my hair will hold in this style, but now i got the ponytails we're a few steps closer to being done, i'm using the spectra, braid hair today. I just grabbed this out of my closet, it's pre-stretched and pre-feathered in the color 1b. I don't have to really do anything with this hair. Just take it out of the package. Also shout out to a fellow youtuber abby, nicole she's, on the package of this braiding hair, i'm going to remove the little tie and replace that with a scrunchie just by looping it around some braiding hair comes with the rubber band on it already. I just feel like the scrunchie is a little more secure since we're going to try to wear this style for a week holding the braiding hair about the scrunchie, i'm just going to wrap it around my ponytail about two times take another pack of the hair, because It'S three in the pack that i purchased and i'm just going to section out three medium sized sections just because i want to lengthen the braids so i'll need extra hair. To do that with. I watched lots of videos before trying to do this style, and i saw so many different people do so many different things. Some people they put their own hair into a very small bun, and then they do the braid and kind of do like this tucking method. But i decided to section out my hair into three parts and also section out the braiding hair into three parts, and then the idea is to hold all of that together, your own hair, as well as the braiding hair and just begin plating all the way down. Also, i did take out a small amount because at the top of the ponytail you're going to wrap that around later, so just pull out an amount of hair that you will use to wrap later and secure that out of the way. Because i was just kind of trying to keep mine out of the way to make sure that my natural hair is locked into this braid very well. I was kind of rubbing some of the murrays and the edge control onto my natural hair. My mom came over to visit. Of course, i put her to work extra to finish the braid. For me i could put some fam in front of my light and make a color light. If that's what so, a different method that my mom is doing that you all can try at home. Instead of holding my natural hair into all three pieces of the braided hair, she's twisting my natural hair very tight and she's gripping that with one hand and one section of the braid and she's going to braid it that way. Instead, if you go too tight, then like not up, let me know when to start standing now, you're gon na have to pass it to me. Yeah i'm coming down it's that much great. But then i was like you know what let me just let my mom finish this. She got this okay, so this is the piece where she's holding that um to match the three legs that you already have, and then you kind of braid that into the section that you had already started and it's like fed in and tucked underneath the same way As long as you have their hair underneath when you plait it, it won't be seen in the braid at all. It'Ll. Just look like the braid is super long and my little sister bone was helping to detangle the hair, as my mom was braiding, because you want it to be nice and smooth, so those three pieces that you all saw me separate out. I think we only fit in maybe one to two pieces to lengthen the braid. I like the fact that this hair is like pre-stretched pre-feathered, so it's going to thin out as it goes down the length of the braid on its own with you know how you hold the hair, you got to pull and pull and pull and feather it out. So that it's not so blunt, that's why i like pre-stretched hair. If you can't find the exact brand that i have any package of hair that says: pre-stretched pre-feathered, if it's 1b separate it into like two or three bundles in the packaging, you'll be good to go. Reaching for some of the edge control as she goes down the length of the braid, even though this is not human hair, it's just braiding hair. It just still helps to keep this look smooth.
