Hey guys, yes, I have purple crotchet braids and I love it, but don't worry because you guys can have colorful hair that you love too, because I'm showing and telling you guys exactly how I did this. The process is pretty tedious. But if you do it, you won't regret it. So, let's get started so you'll need acrylic paint. Try to get this kind of ill acrylic ink. You need alcohol at least 70 %. You'Ll need gloves and you'll need a spray bottle. So the hair that I'm using is free, tryst, braid, waterway 22, inches in the color tt-to 7 and it's blonde at the end and black at the top. I recommend get this kind of color here cuz. You don't really want to do your whole head, a color because it gets pretty pretty messy as you wear it. So this is my setup and um. You probably want to use plastic I'll. Tell you why later don't use a towel, so you want to start by putting some alcohol in the bottle. You don't really have to measure it just don't start with too much, and then you want to shake up your acrylic um ink and then you want to put it until the bottle. Um don't put too much, but I put too much so as I ran out. I just added alcohol and then you want to grab the top of that bottle and you want to give it a little shake it ishe K, so yeah just shake it up. Really nice really well yeah. So then you want to take it to your hair and, as you can see, I'm just spraying it on it's really that simple just spraying and layering. As you can see, a lot of the ink just as I'm starting is getting on the towel and I've wasted a lot of ink. That way. So, that's why I say: use plastic, so you can, you know, use your ink to the full advantage and as you're spraying and layering, you want to flip the hair over and do the back side of the hair. I'M sorry! I didn't show that and you want to get like all inside of it. Yes, that's how it looks and look at how much I wasted so yeah. I just put some more alcohol in and I'm taking it to my second bubble and I'm just spraying and layering and you're going to see them using my fingers to kind of like move some of it around yeah. This hair is pretty pretty thick. I just flipped it over it's pretty thick, so you have to use a lot of pieces. A lot of the ink that you put on will soak into the strands of hair, so yeah, okay. So I had a problem with some of the footage, so the washing and the setting didn't get recorded, but it's really simple, so I'm just going to tell you guys in full detail so settling the hair. First, you want to put all of your bundles into a plastic bag and tie it, and then you want to let it sit for at least four hours and then you want to take the bundles out of the bag and place them on a towel. Then blow-dry. The hair on low heat for at least three minutes that just you know, sets the ink a little bit more and then washing the hair, really easy simple. You want to rinse your hair per bundle, so one bundle at a time you want to rinse it under cold water and you want to rinse it until it's clear and then once it it's like rinse. Well, you want to set your hair to dry on a towel, so yeah, that's pretty much it. It'S really really simple, just almost kind of like dying real hair, so yeah, I'm just going to tell you guys a few problems that I came across. As I said, I use the towel, so I wasted a lot of ink, so use plastic um. Try to use the ink that I showed on this video because I got a different type of ink when I ran out of the bottle and I the ink was really liquidy and it didn't give the same effect and that's why my hair has the little highlights In it, which is fine but try to use the the other ink and if you want highlight to get a different color or something lighter color, so yeah, it was really simple, really easy, um after I rinse it once you were into well and it's clear you'll Still have a lot of like ink running out on your first week of wearing it, so you just want to make sure you're being really clean with and neat and make sure you're wearing things that you can get messy so yeah. That'S it um I'll. Have my problems in the description box leave comments and I'll see you next time bye, you

anniebabi: I loooooooooove this and btw when you install crochet braids it's best to separate the hair strands so you get a fuller poofy effect it also looks more natural but other than that I love this so much there's not many good tutorials on dyeing synthetic hair

Danni Senn: Yes! Finally! Thank you so much for uploading this video girl! Can't wait to do this for my winter protective style with a pop of colour! Love it! Love the hair and love you too for this super easy to follow video. Sharing this on Pinterest we been sleeping on this!!

Chrystine Jenkins: Hey, girl! Thanks for the tutorial, my hair came out great! I just wanted to let you and your followers in on a secret that a friend mentioned about the bleeding. If you soak your finished DRY dyed hair in a bowl, bucket or tub of cold water with a little vinegar and salt and let it dry again the colors won't bleed. I tried it on a strand of it and tested it in warm water and NOTHING. When I install my braids I'll leave an update but look for tutorials on how to set ink in fabric. It works ;-)

BeYouTee: So pretty,The purple compliments your complexion!

Afonso Rafael: For those who asking about the ink, its akrilic ink!! With a strong pigmentation, usually says on the box description

Someone Special: Did adding color to the hair change the texture of the hair at all? This video has just made my day. I am new to crochet braids and everything that I could find at first told me that I could not dye the hair at all. I can't wait to try this!!! I am so excited!!

nltcraze: So freaking beautiful. Im in love(with you and your hair!)

Kailia Latonya: The hair looks really pretty <33

MiMi Lee: Your hair came out really pretty, and it looks professionally dyed! Have you tried dipping the hair into your mix? I did a complete hair restoration on one of my childhood Barbie's. Had to dip the blonde ends.

EAGLETUCK: great video ! Love the colorssssssss

LetsJazzItUp: i love it!

JanelGoesZoom: This is sooooo awesome! That purple is the bomb! But, I wanted to know if this process would work on marley hair?

Lanae Kellee: Your hair is beautiful that color TfS!

T.B.P: hey ! can we blow dry the hair after putting the color if we use kanekalon hair for exemple to get them straight and dye?

Destanie: Could I apply this to all of the synthetic hair if I would want to have my whole head a different color? Also in that case, would it be smarter to use blond synthetic hair?

mimi123b: WARNING! I did this with the same color of ink and brand and when you rinse it fully it takes to the hair but becomes a really faded more dull color, its not bad but if you expect to get a vibrant color dont! Unless you dont wash it out but like she said it will bleed.

Noelle Cowan: How long does it last?

O B E M A H : I love this I love the different colors it looks cute to me!!!!!! so in regards to dark roots like black would I do the same thing?

rachel chocianowski: Beautiful I love it a lot am I allowed to use permanent hair color on my pre braided jumbo box braids just wondering

B.Smileyyy: Hey,great video-do you think it will still dye if i have different brand hair ?like Herlem125 kima crochet hair ??

Maya C: where did you get your acrylic ink im not in the States and cant get hold of speedball does it have to be from a beauty supply store

Zillennial Blueprint: When I use water wave hair I normally cut it in half and separate the strands. Will I still be able to do this once I dye the hair or would you recommend installing the hair as is?

Sapphire Slay: omg, this video just changed my life , thank you sooooo muchhh

Moody High: So pretty Destiny

Sarah Sims: ok, thank you and love your hair btw ♡

ynazzra: I am currently waiting for my marley hair to dry but I wanted to do faux locs with it.....but can you even light the hair to loc after it has been rinsed? Or will the alcohol remain anyway and burn the hair?

ChocolateCoatedTQ: Youre so pretty & I LOVE the hair .. I was wondering if you could do this with human blend weave that has the same two toned color?

J Cherrish: This is so pretty

Eddi: Does the alcohol mess with the hair texture

SPARKLETHA1: You have an awesome sense of humor. Keep up the good work.

Fa'Dia Higgs: I love the highlights.. what is the other brand of ink you used... so I can get the exact look...

The Mama Green: For question about how I installed the hair. Check out my crochet braid video.

Ashlee Roberts: Will this work with the colour grey/silver?

Vibrant: I have an op27(?) free trees curly synthetic wig I want to dye. It has about three different blondes in it, I want to do purple but more like a midnight deep purple. Should I add a few drops of black to the purple?

MSjapaDean26: When you colored your hair did the color get on your clothes? and how long did it stay?

All Naturelle: Do you not split your hair when you install it because all the videos I see with this hair once they split the hair it is poofy , but this is perfect! !!

A'Riel The Great: Thanks for sharing!

Chokolat Disciple: Looks like you were able to color the black hair as well. Good job.

Montez Williams: where did you get your ink from?

Uaintnodaisy: Does it wipe off on your clothes?

Ellspressions: awesome :)

It’s Just My Opinion: Can you do this with Kanalon braiding hair? I think it would look sooo cute ad box braids.

Someone Special: Also have you tried adding color to darker hair. I kind wanted to dye 1b hair with purple so that it wouldn't be really bright but you could see it in the sunlight more. You know not to bright...more of an undertone.

Shay White: Did you seperate the pieces of hair before installing?

theJEDIjay16: Can you do this with all synthetic hair?

SFX FLUENT: how long does the color stay, & does it transfer on clothing

gingerbreadgirl5000: can you try using temp hair color spray on synthetic and tell us how it works? i want to try but I don't want to mess up the hair I already installed
