How To: Flexi Rod Crochet Braid W/ Kanekalon Hair | Beginner Friendly

Me again, yes, I'm Jay Murray and welcome back to my channel. So in this video I'm going to be sharing with you guys, my next protective style, and that is this crochet flexi rod style now getting this style was a struggle because I made the dumb decision. Flexi rod after I installed them and then below terrible terrible decision. I shut up, let's see water first, then boydle then it's autumn, but this is the outcome of my hair. So if you guys want to see how I got this look, then please continue watching. I'M just going to start off with straight back cornrows, nothing, fancy nothing extravagant and I'm using five packs of this hair I'll, have the link down below of the exact hair that I'm using and to crochet. All I'm going to do is use a crochet needle and then taking small strands of that hair. I'M just going to loop it through. So what you do, is you open the crochet needle with it open you stick it inside your hair. Then you wrap the hair around pull it through and then just loop it if you guys, want a more detailed video and let me know but there's a lot on YouTube and I just watched those and they what they did and then I'm just going to continue. My whole head, the straight back braids, took me about 30 minutes to braid my hair. This took about two hours and I'm not gon na lie. My arms were on fire like a fire fire, so I'm going to wrap the flexi rods around my hair, and this is going to help give me that curl that I want so I know don't do what I did. Flexi brought this before flexi rod and boil before you put it on your head cuz. This was a terrible idea, so what I did was I take took some leave-in brush use a paddle brush to make sure I got rid of any tangles that was in the hair and then just wrapped it around the flexi rod. And then, when I finished like I'm really watching this video and I'm laughing because I took these out redid it off my head and then and start them with the flexi rods already for this was a terrible idea. But you could still get this lip. But it's just a really terrible idea, although boil the flexi rods and the hair before you install them, and it was just save you a lot more time, but you could definitely do it this way. I just I don't advise it and you burn yourself. It'S not worth it so once I did all the flexi rods, I let them dry completely before I took them out.
