GWAN BIG UP UNNU SELF ! XOXO

Wah gwan beautiful people - i am Chev B welcome back to my channel for today's video. I'M going to show you guys how to do the butterfly braids without doing the feed-in method, so the hair that i'm using today is from ultra, and this is their new braided up braids and it is a hundred percent candy colon, it's pre-stretched. It has more volume and it has three bundles in a pack now. The color that i'm using is the 2t 1b slash 30 in 56 inches and, as you guys can see, this hair is pre-stretched and ready to go. So the first thing i like to do when i'm doing a style, is i like to use my certified bella scalp oil, on my scalp. If you're new here i have eczema on the scalp and for the last year i have been able to maintain steady growth. Usually i'll get a bald spot in the back left side of my hair, but for the past year i have not had a bald spot, and this is the only thing that i have been using consistently. So the first thing i'm going to do is part. My hair, how i'm going to be doing this style now this style was recommended by a subscriber asked on instagram. What style should i do next and someone suggested butterfly braids. I had no idea what that was, so i googled it and it seemed like it's been a style that has been around since maybe a year or two and basically um. It'S basically like feeding braids but making it a little bit juicier. So i'm going to be trying my hand in it, but if you guys know already, i cannot braid for ish, so this will be a real challenge. So what i just use is my miche scalp oil as well uh. My parting look a little bit dry, so i just put the scalp oil right on the parting so that it looks fresh and somewhat professional. So to do this method, i'm going to section part of that parting. I know i'm very bad at explaining, sometimes so i hope just seeing it will help you guys to like understand what i'm doing. I need to make sure that i get the hair slick, so i'm going to be using the shine and jam magic fingers. So, for this part, i'm doing section by section parting so that my hair is flat, as you guys can see, i have somewhat long nails. It'S never hindered me from doing a style, but knowing that i cannot braid that well, i am going to be trying my absolute best. So if you're a braider, this should be super easy for you. For my non braiders. Are my beginners we're in the struggle together? So i'm just going to keep sectioning and putting the magic finger shining jam on my hair and what i realized with the shine and jam a lot of braiders use it. It does not flake, it does not cause that white stuff and it's just a really good type of slit down product for braiding. It'S not so well when i'm trying to do like a slick, bun or something, but it's really good for braiding, i'm going to try my best. It'S going to look like a little bit of a struggle, but um i'm going to be trying my best to get my hair as flat as i can, and also you want to get this as small as you can. I wish i could have gotten it smaller. I tried my best, but it would be really great if you get this braid to be as small as you can and you'll see why later on uh now this is what the hair is looking out of the package i'll be only using one pack of this Hair to do this style, if you want the hair to be fluffier, you can use more than one pack, but i only needed one pack for this look so um. This is my first bundle that i'll be using now the method i'll be using, because i cannot fit in braid and for my girls who can't fit in braid, this is for y'all. So what we'll be doing is a crochet type method, so you want to pay attention to this. You guys know. I love me. My crochet method, like crocheting, has never failed me. Yet i've always found a way to do styles that i can't do that involves braiding by using crochet here. Crochet has never failed me, so um. What we're going to be doing is crocheting the braiding hair onto our braid. So this is what i meant when i say you want to get this braid as small as you can. So the back part that i couldn't get to be as small as i could yeah it's going to be a little bit fluffed up, but the look is supposed to be a fluffed up. Look regardless, but you still want to get that base braid to be as small as you can. So i'm just going to continue to do that. So i use half the pack, so that's a bundle and a half on each of these braids. So i go all the way down to the lap of my neck, so you're not going to go down on the end of the braid you're just going to go down to like the last part before you like clap down now this part, it's a little bit Tricky so you want to pay attention, so this is where you're going to blend your hair into the crocheting braiding here to make it look like you actually did a feed in method, so i also use the shine and jam magic fingers to slick down this front. Part and then we're going to try our hands again at this braiding thing and try to get the braiding hair to blend in with your natural hair. So obviously, this style takes at least a beginner type braider to do um. But as much as i am a beginner braider, i cannot feed in or i haven't learned fully how to feed in. So this method has helped me now for the butterfly braiding. Look basically it's to get the braid to look fluffed up a bit the further down you go with the braid um. You can do that later on as well. So my only challenge with this part is is obviously trying to make sure that the hair doesn't tangle. So you have to keep like running your fingers through each time. You grab a piece of hair to make sure that you don't get any knots, so you just want to take your time now at first it looks a little bit crazy. I was a little bit worried because you need to get that braid fluffy, so that your hair, it doesn't show that you actually use hair on top of a braid. If you know what i'm saying this is how the butterfly look comes in handy, it's going to be fluffed up anyways. I was a little bit scared that it looked crazy but keep fluffing and you'll see how the finished look will look in the end. So it doesn't matter if a little bit of um like the inner corners or the inside of the braid itself, you can see that, like the braid itself isn't lying on it, and you can see a little bit of where you crocheted because of that butterfly. Look essentially, it looks like that's how it's supposed to look, so it is okay, so i'm just gon na do the other side, and then i'm going to show you guys how we complete the entire look now to blend your hair um. Obviously, because you got natural hair you're trying to blend it with the braids, make sure that you use the shine and jam to try to blend your hair in. So if you have a little piece poking out, that's okay! You can use a little bit of the shine and jam to put on your hair because, as i said, it doesn't flake and it doesn't cause the white stuff and white residue. So you it's safe to put on the hair. As long as you don't put like a boat load on top of the braid now this part i'm just trying to make a big braid with the two braids so that um they could blend in together. Now this part doesn't have to be perfect. Like this look, it's just a basic look for beginners right you're, trying to find like a quick style, because this style didn't take long at all. I think this style took me about 45 minutes to do so. This is just a quick style that you could put in for the week or maybe longer, depending on how neat you keep it, i'm even wearing this style for the last three days so far, and it has held up really well. All i have to do is tie it down with a scarf at night, and then i put the end of the braid in a bonnet and i'm totally fine. So i'm just going to braid down not to the end, but just a little bit of of the ends out, because i'm going to put some perm rods on it later on now. This part, you can accessorize how you want to accessorize. I put some um braiding clips on where my hair meets the the braiding hair. Just to you know, make it look like it blend in a little bit like i actually feed in and then i'm going to take some braiding cord and just wrap it around. My base just to create a style you can do whatever you want to do with this part. Even if you don't want to add the jewels just be creative with it or don't be creative creative with it. It'S all your choice now i'll be using my. She is bomb edge control and of course, you guys know - we've been using this in my last couple of videos and then i'm going to tie that down um to just leave my hair to stay down for a bit. While i do my makeup and finish up the style now, this part i'm doing a curly goddess type end to the braid, so i'll be doing some flexi rod set. So what i do is put them in some flexi rods and um dip it in hot water. For just about like a minute and a half like nothing long and then i leave it to dry. While i do my makeup - and it's like that, simple for the end, look now that my makeup is done and my hair is dry, i'm going to be using the cream of nature, pure honey, shine, mist just to put on the hair itself just to make it Look fresh make it look like it was somewhat professional. As i said, this is just a quick style you could do for my girls who can't feed in this is just a method. It'S not gon na look perfect for your first time. At least it didn't look. Perfect for me for my first time trying this, but i was pleasantly surprised with how my hair came out like i'm like girl, you really did that this was a first attempt and i'm not mad at it right. I am not mad at it at all, and this is our final look. Thank you guys so much for hanging out with me today. I hope this tutorial was helpful and i hope i was helpful in helping you discover something new or trying something new trying a different method if you can feed in for my braiders, you guys already know like this ain't even much to you. But! It came out decent enough for a first try and I hope it lasts at least two weeks. The braid itself seems really easy to redo (at the part where the two braids connect) if I need to refresh that part but its the top part I'm worried about holding up. Here's hoping. Ty so much for the style. Even for being a beginner, it didn't take me all that long (~hour and a half).
