Oh no anxiety creeps up on me. Is this? How it's supposed to feel tell me when it's over, i got someplace hey guys, so i'm starting off with two week old, knotless braids, my hair is definitely due for a wash. You can see some dry flakes. You can see some shedded hairs, but don't worry i'm going to take care of all of that. You want to go ahead and grab your favorite shampoo and apply it directly to your scalp, using the pads of your fingers, you're going to rub gently along your scalp to remove any buildup that you may have you're going to repeat these steps all over your entire Head until your whole head is covered with shampoo, being very gentle, because you don't want to cause any frizz. If you don't have a shampoo with an applicator cap, you can definitely put some shampoo in a spray bottle with a little bit of water. Give it a shake and then spritz and rub that method works just as well, making sure to do the back of your head go ahead and add your shampoo and rub that in i'm also doing my hairline. This is the era where we tend to use a lot of gels and butters just to keep those edges. Nice and sleek. Take this time now to massage your scalp, get the blood flowing and remove all that buildup. Next you're gon na put your hair in a high, loose bun and you're gon na see why, in a moment so go ahead and do that and secure your hair with a hair tie. So you guys can see my hair is super loose and i can move it around, which is exactly what i need so for method. Number one you're going to use a handheld shower head, don't worry! If you don't have one. I have another method coming up, so you have a loose bun and you're just going to take the water and spray it directly on your scalp, letting the water run through your hair you're, going to see in a moment i'm going to start. Using my other hand, i'm going to begin massaging my scalp to remove the shampoo, so in previous videos you guys would have seen that i've done another method where i let my hair hang down loosely and i would wash my whole entire head. But with this method, you get no frizz, so with method number two you're going to use a cup or a bucket and fill it with warm water you're going to take your time and slowly pour that warm water on your hair and begin massaging with your fingers. So this is for anyone who doesn't have a handheld shower head. This is going to work for you. It may take a little bit more work, but don't worry. You'Re gon na have the same great results so back to using my shower head, i'm just going in making sure to rub looking in the mirror, making sure that all the shampoo and buildup is gone. Oh, it doesn't work so now that we're out of the shower our hair and scalp is nice and clean. You may see some white bulbs, don't worry, those are your shaded hairs. The darker your braids are the more visible they are. The lighter your braids are the harder it is to see those white bulbs. 90 of my hair is dry because of the method that i used just the ends of my hair is wet and a little bit at the root, so i prefer this method over soaking. My whole entire head, because my hair dries super fast. So next, i'm going in with my hibiscus fusion, hair growth oil and this is going to add shine lock in moisture. It'S going to help stimulate blood flow. If i do a massage, it's also going to help promote growth while wearing my braids, so i'm going ahead and just adding about three drops to each row and rubbing it in with my fingers being gentle. So that way i don't cause any frizz. So in this video i'm not going to be maintaining my hairline just because my hair is only about two weeks old and i don't think it needs to be freshened up just yet. If you guys would like to see an updated version on how i fix my hairline as my hair grows out, definitely let me know down below so take your time and add your drops of oil and massage that in anxiety, creeps up on me. Is this how it's supposed to feel tell me when it's over so next i'm going to add a few drops to my hands and then we're going to start massaging our scalp leave. My friends hey get out of here just going ahead and massaging my scalp just taking about five to ten minutes. To do this, making sure to do my whole head, then adding the remainder of the oil to the length of my braids and onto my ends at my roots, my hairline, my nape. So my hair now feels so clean. It smells really good due to the oil and my hair looks brand new. I actually had someone ask me the other day. If i got my hair redone and no, i did not all i did was wash it. So i created a nice little style at the end. Let me know if you guys want to see a tutorial on how i do different styles with my braids. Thank you guys. So much for watching and i'll see you guys in the next one.

Shanique Buntyn: *To help your braids look good and last longer try out my Hair Oil. It helps to soothe a dry itchy scalp, locks in moisture and adds shine.* https://bit.ly/3C4JPrJ

Khalilah D.: I literally just booked my appointment to get knotless braids so I’m saving this video now cause I am not trying to be struggling 3 weeks into my braids

Carla Toppins: Awesomeness! Your braids look freshly done. I like how you said "just grab your favorite shampoo" as opposed to suggesting try/buy this, that, and the third brand. Btw, the cup pour hack if you don't own a sprayer, Priceless!❤️

M.E. Reid: Great tips! We definitely need that box braid style video. Summer right around the corner too! You are always right on time with the hair tutorials.

Tiara T Butler: Yesss, I love that bun method. Makes sense and saves alot of drying time, thanks!

Kia Williams: Heyyy Shanique! I've had my (long) braids in for nearly a month and have been washing them exactly like this every week. The ponytail method does work best for me. How long did you leave your box braids in? Great video.

olamide adedayo: Definitely doing this, I've got my braids on for about 5 weeks and had no slight idea on how to refresh it... Thanks for this, came in at the right time.

lionessawaking42412: Thanks for posting!! about a month ago I put in faux passion twists. I’ve only shampooed my hair once(bi-weekly) and this video came at the right time!!!

Kawtar Elhany: very clear and straightforward, thank you!

Tony: Just got done using this method to wash my braids, I love it!!! I used a spray bottle and a cup. Only the roots got wet. Thank you so much for sharing the alternatives, the work equally well

Moony: as someone who isn’t black, it honestly fascinates me how durable and clean box braids look! i want to get similar braids done when i’m older (not box braids, just rly tight braids but less of them) because they look so nice and are very durable!

J K: This is the BEST method I have ever seen! My braids always start sagging because of the weight of the water. And indeed no frizz, I love it!

Chey Brown: Wow! This came at such great timing! Thank you

Lici Luxx: Was recommended and ended up watching the whole thing.. Very interesting video because Ive tried to wash my hair before in braids and I ended up washing the whole thing. It gets super heavy, uncomfortable and takes hours to dry! So thank you for your brilliance. I also would like to see how you refresh the front of your hair. #NewSub

Jenis Archibald: This is just what I need. I have my first knotless braid it’s one week old. I am grateful this video for this video so that at least I can keep this for a month for sure. Thanks very much

Amazing Grace: For those of you who can do this and your hair still look decent I commend you. My hair is kind of fine soft like maybe 4b idk. My hair just come right out the braids then i have a Mini Afro in between.

It's Simply Yanna: Whew I need to wash mine so bad. Okay this was my motivation. Lol great video sis!

Nessa🌹: Do you wash once every 2 weeks? I’ve had mine braids in for 4 days and your videos are actually helpful Btw do you wash whole head or only scalp?

Renee Smith: Love it! I’m trying this

Vivette Wilson Brown: Hi, great video and to the point! Thank you!

Chiquita C.: Hello and this video popped up on my feed on today; and here another little tip that I used when I was younger and use to get my hair braided. Tip is try using a toothbrush instead. The same way you would use your finger to scrub, rub, or massage the scalp when washing your hair. We'll take care everyone and enjoy your day, week, and month.

Deborah Shoates: Thank you for the tip I’m going to try that your braids still looks really good .

Miss Understood: Your braids are absolutely gorgeous

LifeasRhoyana _: Yess i currently have exams and i have no time to go get my hair redone so thanks for the tutorial. Ps. Please make the tutorial on different ways to style braids.

Benedicta Agyemang: Is this not going to break your hair strands when you unbraid?? Especially when you have the permed or relaxed hair

Tales and Fairies: I only keep my braids in for 3 weeks. Then redo. I wash my hair when I take them out. Any longer the hair will start to knot under the fake hair.

mackenzie bruner: Your really really pretty without makeup on. Your beautiful❤

LIZ TO THE WORLD 🌎: Great tips ❤❤

Betty Hall: I like that hairstyle at the end you look very nice thank you for the tips I'm going to try it you look beautiful and your hair and your scalp look clean and healthy go natural girl.

AljHere128: Ok so I see I need to get a nozzle bottle for using my tingle shampoo when I am washing my scalp within my braids. Do U dampen the scalp first before applying the shampoo though? How do U knot up the braids though for shorter braid styles? I know I will have to use a warm cup of water to wash out the shampoo in my scalp. My best items to use are Rasta Locks & Twists by Jamaican Mango & Lime Tingle Shampoo & Conditioner. That tingle is fire!! Do I also put conditioner within the scalp as well?

Mahmuda Riya: I am Asian with straight hair but I love watching this

jjoyous jay: ✋Yes, show how you do different styles on braided hair ‍♀️

Kyla Mitchell: Quick question should I use a clarifying shampoo when washing my braids to remove build up or just a moisturizing shampoo??

B Hunter: How old were your braids when you did this? I'd love to see hair after it has been completely washed and dried.

TkoArt: Your hair is extremely healthy because my roots would be frizzy and I’d have to many fly always. Great job as usual.

Winter Nightsky: Chile my braids look like free forming dread locks right now because I work out and the sweat/build up irritates my scalp, so I have to wash my hair every week. I'm at the point that I don't even care because I'm trying to get healthier/fit and don't need hair being a reason I don't want to work out

Krysanna Graham: Thank you for this video!

Karen Evans: Very nice thank you an soft music works also I sent this to my daughters Thank You So Much

Nii & Erkan: A hooded dryer is a good idea to help the hair dry fully to prevent mildew and moisture being trapped in the braids near the scalp.

XharonCT: I really like your braids

Mrs. BENT: What would be your method for crownrows in the front and box braids in the back? Ex: fulani braids.

Angela Street: I wonder if using a tooth brush or edge brush would work also or maybe it’d be too rough

citygurl0105: Got mine braided a month ago. It's time

Candace C: When I use to wear braids I would be so scared to wash them because I thought they would get messed up

Jeanne Luna: Would the oil treatment work on anyone's hair

Angela Lee: Thank you so much for sharing

Dede Dorothy: I found this helpful considering the rate at which the prices of these human hair keeps increasing. At least it can be on you for a couple of month while going through this process

Catemiss: What a genious way...

Keziah: i wish i could but everytime i wash my hair it puffs up from shrinkage
