Learn how to do this Knotted Waterfall hairstyle on yourself. I think that this is much easier than a waterfall braid so give it a try! It will work on medium to long hair but make sure that your hair is tangle-free use water/gel if you need to tame the flyaways. The first version is cute for pictures but the knots will eventually become loose since it's not really a braid. I prefer the latter hairstyle because it looks unique and feels more secure. :)

Hey guys in this video, I'm going to show you how to do this shoot an easy, knotted, waterfall hairstyle. First, I'm going to show you how to do the basic form. Then I'm going to show you how to turn it into a side ponytail. So without further ado, let's begin first off, you want to brush your hair and make sure it's smooth and tangle free next pick up some hair in at the front of your head and divide it into two equal sections. Now, with these two strands, I'm going to create a left to right knots so take the right strand cross it underneath the left. So now they should intersect like so. The next step is to stick your index finger and your thumb through the hole and pull the right strand through, since the knot is a little bit low. Just gently pull it up then place the right strand in your mouth. The next step is to pick up a new section of hair, and now this one is going to be our left strand and the previous one will be our right strand so again cross the right strand. Underneath the left. Stick your index finger and your thumb through the hole and pull it through gently slide the knot up and place the right strand in your mouth. Okay, one more walkthrough pick up a section of hair, now take the right strand cross it underneath the left. Stick! Your index finger and your thumb through the hole and pull it through slide the knot up so that it aligns with the previous ones and place the right strand in your mouth. It'S important to keep the strands in your mouth because it prevents your knots from becoming loose. Now, if you're doing this on your friend, your sister or your daughter, you can just get them to hold the strand, but if you're doing it on yourself, I think this is the best way to do it. At this point, you have two options. What you can do is you can continue this braid all the way around till you reach the other side of your head, or you can just stop right. There hold it in place with a bobby, pin and continue the braid on the opposite side. Then have them meet together at the back, I'm just going to stop halfway and secure the very last round with two bobby pins. Here'S the completed. Look, I think it's great for pictures, but it's definitely not something that you can run around with. So next, I'm going to show you how to do a more secured version for girls on the go for this look we're just going to rewind and pick up from where we left off, which was at the back of the head. This time you want to continue the braid all the way around. Until you reach your other ear, you won't be able to see what you're doing here so just feel for the strands. In your hand, when you're close to your ears release the strands from your mouth and gather all your hair to the opposite side, grab an elastic band and tie the ponytail together as you're doing this you'll notice that the knots will drop a bit. And that creates a pretty cascading look to complete the hairstyle, I'm going to cover the elastic bands with another strand of hair from my ponytail after wrapping it around a few times, I'm going to grab another elastic band to tie the end of that little strand in Place here is the completed. Look for version number two.
