Hey guys welcome back to my channel it's Rachel and in today's video I'm going to be showing you guys how I prepare my head to wear underneath my wigs and I'm starting off on an old washing go which of course, is the result of the Cantu styling. Gel you haven't seen that video I'll link it in the cards and today I'm going to be using products from healthy, thick curls, which is a black-owned brand, and they kindly reached out to me to review some of their products. So I'm starting off with the curl, accentuating shampoo and I'm just applying, of course, to wet hair and first off you know the smell was amazing, the small it smells of like some kind of banana sweet. But it was very fruity a fruity scent, but it doesn't linger and the lather on this was amazing as well gave me a good slip, yeah so thumbs up to the shampoo. It got my hair really super clean and of course I did two letters like always, and so two washes even - and this is how my hair was looking like afterwards, so you can see you know some little curl definition going on there. So that's all good! That'S what I love to see in a shampoo and my hair was feeling soft and fluffy alright, so the line doesn't include a deep conditioner, so I went ahead and did that off-camera and I'm going to now apply their leave-in conditioner, which contains Argan, coconut jojoba, aloe Vera and silk amino acids - and this conditioner is really watery. It'S a little thicker than a liquid leave in which was good. I mean I was able to just apply it, someone head liberally. Normally, I would put my hair in sections, but I'm gon na be blow-drying. My hair, so I thought I would just add it to my hair. Just you know all over. So I'd say that this leaping, you know it's a pretty standard, leaving it's quite light. So if you have sort of hair, that's on the drier side, this might not work as well for you. But if your hair is, you know, fine you'd love this conditioner, I mean it's moisturizing, but and for me it was a little bit too watery for my hair texture. I think my hair sucks up creams and stuff, which is where this cream comes in. So this is their super moisturizing hair cream. Now this was the stop the show. I absolutely love this. It'S really really thick and it contains shea butter, olive oil and some other stuff, but I forgotten, but I will leave everything in the description below so you can see how thick that is, and again I'm applying it to my hair, just all leather, because of course, I'M going to blow dry my hair. This cream is really it's really really moist rising and it's really thick. I, like my thick creams and yeah. I really like that. Oh also, the smell is amazing and smell, doesn't think of this one. So if you don't like lingering smells um yeah, this is not maybe the product for you, but I love the small. It'S very flowery and yeah kind of smells like a perfume sort of, but I liked it so I've gone ahead and blow-dried my hair off camera. Oh, I will be doing a a blow-dry routine soon, but yeah. This is all my hairs. Looking like I'm really happy with the length, can I just say I feel like I've retained a lot of length and I like when my hair's blow-dried, because it just looks a lot thicker than it really is, so I might start wearing it like that. So I've gone ahead and started on the rest of my hair and I've left this section. So I can show you what I'm doing again, I'm gon na be using some of that moisturizing cream, because I love it so much and I'm gon na be packing. My hair away for a couple of weeks, so I want my hair to be as moisturized as possible, so I'm just applying some more of the cream to that section of hair, making sure that it's covered from reach to the end, especially the ends my ends. Of course, are the driest part of my hair and yeah. So I applied that quite liberally. I'M quite heavy-handed with that and then after I've applied that I'm gon na go ahead and comb through my hair and then I will just braid it up and if I feel you know the ends of my hair needs a little bit more moisture. I will go ahead and add some more of the cream, so I prefer now to just braid my hair instead of doing corners because I feel, like I don't know, I don't think my hair likes corners under the wig. The last time I did that I got a lot of shedding for some reason. I feel like I pull my hair quite hard when I'm doing corners - and you know, there's unnecessary, shedding and stuff. So I'm I started just braiding it in small sections like I'm as if I was gon na, do a braid out and it's a lot quicker for me and it's a lot easier for me to remonster eyes, my hair, when I need to with cornrows you know. I don't really want to go ahead and really cornrow my hair. So this way I'm able to access my hair and moisturize it when I need to and also doing it in smaller sections means that your wigs will lay flatter all right. So we're all done. I'Ve got 12 braids in total, so six on each side, and this is what my hair is looking like. Those products are really good. I do really love them. So, last of all, I'm gon na use their hair growth oil, which has soy bean, grapeseed, coconut and almond oil in it, and I'm just going to oil. My scalp and I love that the bottle has a nozzle. So it's easy for me to get it onto my scalp yeah. So overall I really like the products guys, especially especially that moisturizing cream. Goodness me it's just so I love it. I love it so much, but I'll leave the link to everything down below and at all. This video is not sponsored guys, it's not sponsored. I will sent the products for free, but everything is my own opinion, so I'm just showing you guys um. This is how I would wear my wigs, I'm sorry where my wigs, where my wig cap on top of the braids so with the braids, I can shift them if they're not laying too flat and yeah, but this this will suit me fine, and this is how A wig would look on top of the braid, so, as you can see, it lays pretty flat. It'S not bulky or anything like that, and you know what you don't need corners guys. You don't need them if you can't do them. So I hope you found the video useful if you did make sure to give it a like, and if you have a subscriber of course hit the subscribe button I'll catch you in the next one.

T B: I like this method. I’m gonna try it out tonight instead of cornrowing after washing. Hopefully it will save me some time and energy and most importantly I’m hoping it will be healthier for my hair. I usually leave my cornrows in for at least a month sometimes more. My hair is growing but it gets so dry and stressed I’ve noticed that I get a lot of split ends. Maybe this is the change up I need to get past my latest plateau.
