Hello! I am here to present you Applejack's Wig. I styled specifically to match and compliment the entire look. This is just a twin braid wig, and I thought it was so awesome looking because of the yarn. Using the yarn just made the wig look more natural and realistic. I don't really like when the braids are so thick that is overwhelms the design. I hope you guys like this wig!

Hey guys, what's up and welcome back to my channel for this video, I will show you guys how I made Applejack swig. So I already have my yarns prepared and it is a mixture of kind of caramel and blonde and I'm just taking my first pet brush, and this is just like a plastic one and I first detangle it as much as I can. I think this actually helps to retain the length of the yarn and by the way, the yarn that I'm using is just a regular yarn. You can get it from Target Michaels, Joanne's or Walmart, but make sure that it is a hundred percent acrylic. And then I go back in with my second pet brush and this is actually metal, so it actually can hurt my fingers, I'm trying to be careful over here, but as you can see, I'm starting from the bottom and I'm working my way up and my main Goal is to keep the length of the yarn after we have everything completed, I'm going to go ahead and take my straightener on a low setting and just press on hard, and I go really really slowly as well. Just so that I can make it longer, and you can see over here, silky smooth and almost looks like alpaca, I said, almost looks like alpaca alpaca fiber is a little more cleaner and much more silkier than this. But it's you know as close as we can get it. So this is the wig cap that I have made for Applejack and, as you can see, it's just a full wig cap. It goes all the way around and we can go ahead and start gluing. Our web, so for the style, she's going to be having twin braids around her neck and down her shoulder in front of her, and I went with this design because I don't know. I just feel like if I went with her original hair with just the bottom kind of tied, it kind of weighs down the hair and the overall look and I'm just not into that look and for the braids it's down in the very very end. Like I love how it balls up in the very top like it has a lot of volume by her face, but it goes all the way down. It becomes really really skinny and very very slim, so I felt like that was very elongating and it just complimented the design overall for Applejack, a lot of people were commenting on how her hair or the blonde that I gave her were a little too light, and I agree it it's very bleached blonde. It was also my fault when I was recording and I was also editing the pictures for some reason. The lighting made it really really blond, but I did go for a bleached blonde. Look because the reasoning behind it is that she is always in the Sun. Usually when you have blonde hair, it gets lighter in the Sun. So that's kind of what I thought about it for her bangs, though I did want it to resemble the original design. I wanted it to be side swept, and I wanted to kind of flare up so for her banks. I try to make it realistic to my design and also pay homage to the original Pony design. So I did spray her bangs to make it more wet so that it's easier to kind of manage and the yarn kind of becomes more valuable when it is wet and it kind of actually stays like that. So it's great and I'm just using this eyebrow razor to raise or cut the hair. I try my best not to cut so much with scissors, because it can look too blunt and I always love the faded kind of spiky look. So now I prepare the hair for the braids and, as you can see, I'm just putting it in pigtails first in low pigtails, and this is what I meant by framing her face. You have a lot of volume up top and then it becomes really really skinny. In the bottom - and that is because of the braids and that's something that I really really loved in the design - and so I kept with it, I was actually going to do fish tails, but I tried it and I just can't get a hold of it. I just don't understand how to do it. It'S so hard and over here I'm just taking this brow brush and I'm just rushing through her braids just so it's not completely perfect and also it makes it look a little more natural and for some reason I've been so obsessed with adding tendrils. This part over here that is connected to her sideburns is actually kind of tendrils, and I just curled it. I don't know for some reason. It just gives me the retro anime look like very Sailor. Moon like 90s Sailor Moon. So I just kind of wanted to add that, and over here I just heated up a metal chopstick and I'm using that as a curling iron. So, after the dull transformation we put on her wig and also her hat and I'm going to be doing my finishing touches and also final styling. But I just wanted you to know that I really love how you just did apple jack, she just looks just like a Cowgirl but with so much more style. Maria Shadows: It is partly impossible to keep the length of the yarn. This is because when they weave the fibers the fibers are only so long. Those fibers you pull out are the excess that isn't tied. So it's almost impossible to make the wefts longer then the fiber length.
