Hey guys welcome back to my channel, we are live from Accra, Ghana, you guys yes, so I went on a little vacation to Ghana for about a week and when I was there, I asked you guys to recommend me some breeders in Ghana and one of my Subscribers, our Instagram subscribers recommended Tilly here g8 on Instagram, so I checked the route and I saw this really dope, braise that she did on her page, and I was inspired by the curls to create these look okay, so it is like a two layer braid. So the bottom is individual braids on the top it's gon na, be ghana. Corn rolls now my whole thing. Okay, i was like listen. If I'm going to ghana, I have to get ghana braids like I have to get gon na Brits like. Why would it being gone, and I and I get gon na freeze like that? This makes sense to you guys now um in terms of doing ghana braids, i learned how to do them about a year roughly a year and a half ago, and i was like oh my god I was so excited because it was one of those hairstyles that I was like it just looks so complicated and I was so excited when I was able to figure out how to do it. So now that I'm gone, I want to show you guys how people in Ghana do it, because it's actually quite different from how I framed my corner braids. So I thought it'd be interesting to show you guys but yeah. Oh she's stretching out my hair right now because she's doing the quarrels and it's very important for that hair to be as tangle free as possible. By the way I apologize. If I keep looking at the camera, I was just trying to make sure that I was in frame and everything was good and you know wasn't glory and all that so yeah, as you can see, were leaving the braids halfway, because we're gon na be curling the Ends so that's why she's not braiding all the way down she's just bringing halfway for the individual braids and the braids was literally so perfect. You guys. The reason I chose her is because I Braes literally does not have a glitch. It is so perfect from when she installs it till the end like it looks like it was machine braided. That'S why I went with her okay, I love meets braids, I'm sweet for letting me braids, so I loved it so she's gon na be doing the ghana braids. As you can see, i'm gon na have braids coming down from the middle and then having both sides. Braided down towards the bottom of my face, so yeah she's, just making sure like the middle braids, is centered and well aligned and it's not crooked. It'S very important because face like this. It'S all about the detail, the more detail. Your parts are the, you know the needs, your, the more neat, your braid. It'S going to look! It'S just gon na look clean. It'S gon na look freshly nice. So you really want to take your time now when she is installing these. As you can see her hand, placement is a little bit friends, so she's braiding almost like downwards. It'S very interesting cuz. I'Ve never seen anyone braid like this before. If you bring back this, let me know in the comment section is the easier: does it get the hair as flat as possible, which i think is why she did she braids like that, because, literally when she was done, my hair was so flat at the top. It wasn't bulky like she was really able to get that braids coming through this gap and it did not hurt at all. There was no pain. There was no tension that literally it was perfect. So, as you can see the size of hair that she's adding it's literally the same size throughout now, I think the mistake that I used to make when I do Connor pray is I used to increase the size and it used to be very dramatic okay. So this is a very natural gon na transition, like literally it's not like it doesn't increase in size. It just maintains the you know consistent size throughout, which is why I think you know having the pieces that you add be relatively consistent throughout, would enable you to have that look now. If you wanted yours to start off little and kind of dramatically increased and you can increase the size of the piece of hair that you're, adding, if not just maintain the same size throughout, which is what she's doing - and I think this is better because it was So cygnus and it still looked super good, so yeah one thing. I also wanted to point on. We, the salon is like when I first walked in, and this is my review on the salon when I first walked in everything, was prepped and ready to go. I was sat, I was told and instructed to sit on the chair. I was made to be very comfortable. The stylist communicated with me throughout she was always checking on me. Hey are you okay, do you need me to get you anything like? She was always making sure that I was very comfortable and I really really appreciate that, because people don't really do that anymore, so it was, it made me feel more at ease, because, typically I get very anxious when people are braiding, my hair, because I'm a breeder So I always wanted things to be perfect, but with her like literally from the moment, I walked into her salon. I was so comfortable and I could tell based off of how she you know welcomes me in. I was very, very comfortable and I felt relaxed and I trusted her from the jump, so I knew that my hair was gon na come out good because of how I was welcomed in one you know, wandering to the salon was very nice. I really appreciate that appreciate that, because people don't take customer service serious anymore and they really make sure that you're good she's very light handed like she's not pulling on my hair, as you can see, we left out some baby hair. So that way were not make completely snatched up. We don't a facelift. We just want some nice gon na braids and she did that. My hair was not pulling. It was not like pinching, as you can see, I'm comfortable, I'm not raising my eyebrows or nothing like. I was good okay, so let's talk about the cost. Now this hair cost me about 250 cities, which I believe was around roughly fifty something dollars now. The reason I like to convert the exchange rate is because I know I have yours from all over the world. So I like to kind of keep things in perspective, for you guys just to get you thinking. Just to kind of you know, give you ideas and just inspire others motivate others. That'S why I do that. So I'm not in any way trying to like devalue, anyone's work or style here, and you know if I'm putting you on my channel, you better be coming with your a-game. So that's not even a point. You know, that's not even the point now I want to talk about the topic we talked about last time and I was sharing with you guys that I got my hair done for 19 dollars. Now, what you guys don't understand. A lot of people were like. Oh, my god, you got your hair done for 19 dollars. If I did that, I would have tipped them an extra $ 70 like it doesn't work like that here like if you can't go around throwing dollars around. First of all, like that's a bad look. You just put a lot of target and eyes on you that you don't want trust me. You think you're flexing, but that's no! You don't do that. Second of all, it's a standard of living. It'S a lot of different years, a lot cheaper to live here. So people in Nigeria for that price range, it's suitable, okay for you, it may be a lot because you're walking with you know US currency, the dollar. You know! So it's you get a lot more for your book over here. So you can't just think like. Oh, when I come out here, you know I should give them this extra $ 70 extra $ 80 extra, whatever you think you're trying to do to to make yourself look like you just saved the day. No, it's not like that. If you live in the community like this, you can't you can't walk around trying to tip people an extra 10k naira 10000 era, because since the service was cheap, like it's, not sustainable, you're gon na go broke. Real quick, like you, can't do that, especially for somebody like me that just moves out here like I'm trying to survive like says I'm hustling, just like they are so you know I can't do that. I have to you, know, save as well. I can't think like that, if I think like that, I'm gon na go broke super quick. I can't do that. So just keep that in mind when we're doing these series just think about it reflects on it. You know share your own experiences, how much status charge in your area just so, we can all have ideas so that way, when you come, when you meet a status that wants to overcharge you, you can kind of have a reference. Okay, that's what we're doing this! Just so, you have an idea if you travel out of the country and you're going to get your hair done, you have an idea of how much they charge in that area. That'S what we're doing is just to keep you informed. So don't come after me or come after the stylist, but on the charge antenna under charging they're charging according to the economy up here: okay, it's different! Okay! Now that I've explained that on to the next topic, I was getting attacked because I did not tip now. Let me break this down to you guys. Okay, I feel like the idea of tip has just being skewed and just misinterpreted, and now it's just coming from a point of like entitlement that actually really bothers me a lot, and I can't send people that go around making. People feel bad for not tipping, because it should be a thing of gratitude. Right though I love my hair, I don't have money to tip you. You shouldn't judge my character. Based on that. You know it should be a thing of. Oh, I have extra cash here. You go it's a thing of like you know, it's something you do, because you want to do not, because you have to do people make anything that you have to do it, which is taking away that the authenticity of it okay. I don't like that, and I feel, like you guys, are trying to guilt me into like being that person. That'S not how we grew up. Okay, if you're African and you grew up in Africa, you know you're, not a people. Morni, like you, don't go around these people free cash, because I want to achieve what if that's like? No, we don't do that. Okay, so that's just how I grew up so like I never wouldn't go out to eat or something I don't think about tip. If you ask me for tip I'm gon na think you're being greedy like leave me alone, I just pay for the service. That'S how I think now, just because we think differently doesn't make me right, it doesn't make you only. It just means that we thought have two different opinions and we can respect that what individuals or would not supposed to think the same. When I supposed to live the same way, I grew up in a different part of the world and you did okay, your practices are not my practices, okay, so if you're tryna come after me or the stylist on this channel that are, that lived a completely different Life of you just know, you're viewing wrong automatically like just sit down so anyway. So I just wanted to talk on that and just talk about that. How to pull on my Instagram and I'm trying to like Acts, people you did tip or not. If you want to participate, go ahead and follow me on Instagram, I grabbed that Mary and you can see all my poles on there and you can vote just to kind of get an idea of like the public's opinion and senses, but yeah, okay, so for the Curls part, you know we're gon na be throwing and, as you can see, the left it halfway braided, it's not for the right side of my actually the left side of my face. It'S gon na be braided down a little bit further but anyway, so chef rice takes a brush to brush out the hair. So that way, there's no tangles make sure you hold your haircut she's brushing it. You don't want it to pull so she's, just brushing out all the knots and tangles cuz. You know when you're crisscrossing it kind of gets like knotted up. Sometimes I just kinda want to brush that off and then she takes the hair and twist. Is it like? Not like a two strand twist, but just like taking the entirety of the tail end of the hair and just twisting it to the right and she's gon na twist. It all the way to she gets to the very, very, very, very bottom of this and then she's going to take the curl rods. It'S like it's like the perm rods that I use except a little bit bigger. I think there's just like a different look, but you can achieve it with a perm. Add things like a medium size permits just wrap the hair around and roll it all the way to when you started doing that twist and then she's going to take a nice little bobby, pin and just going to use it to secure the hair and sort of On the rod bone just like that, just like a perm rod, so you had a priority to use that as well, and you don't have to use these. I don't know where they got this from, but you could always achieve the same exact. Look so she's gon na do this individually for every single braid you guys every single braid! That'S why I think this here was so worth like two hundred and fifty China series, or even more actually, because it really took that time. Every single braid was handcrafted in Ghana. Okay, every single braid was individually twisted, individually, braided and individually curled. Okay, am I making sense? Do you know how much time that takes like, after doing a whole set of braids, you have to go back in and individually curl. Each braid like do you, know how that is, and that really took that time and didn't rush the process. They made sure that the cross came out perfect. I believe this is like their signature thing. The signature look so if you're in Ghana - and you want to achieve something like this make sure you go to Chile, hair gh, opposite, not opposite, but on the same street as do those there's wool or police station. If I'm saying it right, so, if you're on that Street, you will see the police station at the end of it street, and this alone will be to the right. It'S like a little signboard that has like hair pictures all over it. When you go towards that street, that has a signboard, you're gon na see the beauty salon to your left. Okay, very nice little shop and you can see the junk curling it putting the hair and the perm rods. You know it's nice shoulder length and then she's just gon na drape me. You know standard protocol that you should do while missing with hot water, because it's gon na be dipping into hot water really really quickly. I'M sure she does this in little sections and like a little cup so when she places the hair into the hot water, she's gon na have one of the other breeders to like that. The excess water from the hair, so you're gon na see her in a little bit with some towels she's gon na. Take that chunk. That'S already in the cup she's gon na place it onto the towel, make sure, like she drips all the hot water out of it before she leaves it onto my towel that on my shoulder, so that I don't burn okay. So she did this all throughout the hair and then she unravels the prop rods, but she didn't unravel immediately. She waited, and at least like 15 minutes for it to cool down. So that way the cross can really set. One thing that I noticed she didn't do was pray and spritz, which is what I normally do so hold the curls. After, like after a couple of days like maybe a week, the curls started to drop, he didn't lose its form, it just got longer. Okay, it was still curly, but I just got longer. It wasn't as tight as it was when I first got the crew Sun, but if you want that tight curl we'll go ahead and spray this and spritz. If you wanted, if you want some length and some loose curls, just let it be don't spray any spritz, and just let the hair sit throughout the week and it's gon na naturally fall and get longer. You know size you can see when she's ticking and how she has ways of taking it out. She unravels it counterclockwise or she just literally like pulls it from the side. Just depends on what she felt like doing. But you don't know the crows will still maintain. They still look shooting. It was still nice and pink bouncy, beautiful curls. You guys. I love this hair like it was so cute, and I got so many compliments on this hairstyle. I posted some photos on my Instagram, my snapchat and every social media that I had, but she was amazing. The service was quick. The price was dope, make everything like customer service, like I give the salon a ten out of ten for sure, like everything was on points. Okay, I hope you guys enjoyed this tutorial. I hope it was informative. I hope you learned a thing or two. ciera nicole: Watching this has a braider makes me have SO much respect! The fact that they hand curled every single braid, the attention to detail just WOW! Big props to you for bringing the needed attention to this!

Marshalla Smith: I’m only here because I love African hair styles. I am white however the time and effort that goes into each style is absolutely amazing.

DreatsyOne: I can‘t handle how she is able to braid these baby hairs. It’s astoundishing! Her work looks amazing

Valerie H.: She's a perfectionist. I just love the care she takes with customer service.

Penélope: I live in Ghana and trust me the price was excessive. That's the price they usually give foreigners. Edit: I've tried to ignore this comment but I keep getting notifications from it. Let me explain my position. I am Ghanaian, born and bred here and still living here. In Ghana braiding your hair is literally the cheapest hairstyle you can do but in some areas, when they realise you're not from here, they tend to overcharge you. I got my hair braided in a similar style yesterday and it cost me a total of about 94 Ghanaian cedis (weave + workmanship) which is almost 18 dollars. If she had gone with a local she wouldn't have had to pay as much as she did.

Shay Kisalu: The hairstyle is very beautiful! The stylist had an interesting way of braiding. It’s very cool

Cara Geoghagan: I found this very informative and interesting, I love learning about other people’s cultures. You look absolutely gorgeous and those braids are amazing! ☺️

Alexsandra Rabadjiysky: I love how you explained you experience and applaud you for shutting down all the people who were trying to make you feel bad about tipping. It is a part of a total different culture and system. I'm really happy to have found your video. Stay blessed.

shortyfry85: Tipping isn't culturally appropriate in every part of the world. It's the traveler's responsibility to research and follow cultural norms. In China for example, leaving a tip is an insult, in the US, not leaving a tip is an insult.

Gloria Campos: I’m not black and I don’t really have any family that is, so I have never seen any braiding done or anything in person. These women are SO TALENTED. I have never seen someone get sO close to the scalp and get the tiny little hairs at the front it’s just amazing. Props to them cause damn that is crazy.

Tenisha Isom: You KNOW it’s finna go down, when they use a special comb with teeth missing. Love it!

Cheza Felix: Braids like these I didn't really appreciate when I was home in Nigeria, when I left the country I was shook by how hard it is getting good braids.

Lawrence: The precision and dexterity while braiding is impressive. I don't think just everyone could do it quite this well with just practice, that has to be some innate talent going on there. It's so good.

Hil S: The neatness is AMAZING!!! I wish my hairdressers were this neat and perfect.

bumble bee: I love how all races are inteested in braids and the diffrent black hairstyles we can do. My favorite is crochet curls its been helping my hair grow, love your videos and you slayed

Golden Ama: She did the neatest braids AND had a baby on her back lol. I love getting my hair braided in Ghana!

Adia Terry: I like how you taught about cultural differences; respect, cost of living, and customs & courtesies.

Marnie PurpleMoonELC: ❤❤..This is why I love Africa. They're honestly so creative with their hair, their dresses, and styles!

C W: Just the extra done at the end with the curling not to mention how perfect the braids are - neat and precise- deserve a tip. The money paid up front is for the service. Taking the extra steps to make it perfect makes me happy to tip(on top of the excellent customer service you stated they provided)

ANAHATAJADE Kathryn: Precision! Artistry and creative! Intricate details! There should be a national or world show/competition of these hairstyles. I believe it is a fantastic wearable art!!!

Tee Thompson: I love how they all work together. No competition like it is here in U.S with braiders !!!!

Laura Reis: Beautiful style, so intricate and polished! Hopefully the rest of the world's stylists prioritize not causing pain while braiding. It's sad to think people might get styles done their whole lives while being uncomfortable/or even become desensitized.

NerdyBeautyK: What a great salon! They really treated you well and damn she is so neat and precise with her braids they’re gorgeous

Christine Foor: This just came up in my feed and I am so glad it did. This is absolutely amazing! I can't even imagine the skill and patience these women have. They are artists. Your hair is beautiful! All women of African descent should proudly wear their hair naturally. It truly shows your true beauty.

Xeaux_Luna: I know I’m late finding your channel but I’m glad I did. Your hair looks absolutely gorgeous and I thank you for explaining the exchange rates and how prices are different in each country and each region. I think a lot of people don’t realize that and that was refreshing to hear.

Becky Wight: I'm not sure what I was expecting for the end result but wow, I've never seen braids done that way, it looks so beautiful

Esmin: these look so beautiful, they’re so neat and look adorable with the curled ends. I admire the creativity behind these hair artists. Hair truly is beautiful and diverse

Laura B: Tipping is definately something that varies wildly throughout cultures, and I think it's best to try and adapt to what's normal in the country you're in. Like, I'm an American so I feel guilty tipping less than 15% here since people make so little without tips in a lot of professions. It's not so much a thank you as it is paying a person for doing their job. Anything above 15% is a thank you, the fifteen is the minimum, imho. But when I went on a study abroad to India, we would ask our professor who was born there how much to tip. The number she gave always seemed very low to us, but since tipping isn't expected there overtipping would seem almost rude, and like you said make you a target for theives. I think it's a good thing to read about the tipping culture of a place before you go, it's definately a sign of respect to tip properly, whatever that means for your culture.

lukewarmairballoon: Love this! Wouldn't say that braids are only from Africa though - they played a huge part in traditional hairstyles in Asian royal families as well. Keep up the good work.

Sleeping Labradors: Wow, this is incredible! I’m about to binge watch your channel to learn more about the culture of such beauty. I can not for the life of me do any type of braid, even the super basic 3 chunks of hair one, so seeing people who do it plus makes it look like it’s second nature to them leaves me in admiration of them. Thank you for sharing

Shay24: They do braids the best in our mother land ❤️ They look beautiful! When I got single box braids it was $180 cad dollars which is cheap as they can go up to $250. Butterfly loss starts at $250 cad and cost up to $500 cad dollars. It’s hard work!

💎ShayR87💎: I agree... whenever I go to S. Korea & Japan, im reminded about how tipping there is considered rude & unwanted ‍♀️ so people need to do cultural research before coming for somebody’s neck smh nice braids tho

JessicaDreams: Her work is amazing! These braids are fantastic. Thanks for posting this video. Very educational and also very soothing to watch her braid your hair. You look so relaxed.

Reychell Brooks: I’ve been doing my hair with Tilly since I was 11, I’m 19 now, she honestly is the best. Like she’s soooo sweet, it’s been lovely how we transitioned together from kids’ style to more mature ones

Shelly Rogers: I braid under handed more than over handed. I'm learning feed in by you, so this helps. It cuts down on cramping and a better grip/tension

username6101947: I love how she makes the braid look more natural at the beginning.

Miss 2U: This is the way I was taught to hold hair for braiding when I was growing up as well. My family is from Panama/West Indies with hairdressers and barbers for relatives who do it like this. I'd never seen the other way until I was a bit older and went to cosmetology school where I grew up here in the States. So, from responses here, the other variation seems to be more a U.S. thing?

bethyngalw: Your hair at the end made me think of the phrase "a woman's hair is her glory." It looks so stunning.

Just E!: These braids are so lovely, She did an amazing job! And shoutout to the lady handing off the hair as she feeds it in, on point every time!

Drakendottir: Wow, this looks amazing! The sheer talent and patience that goes into a style like this.... woah. Just awesome. Out of curiosity (I have straight hair and never did that many braids)... how long did it take to get this style, with all the braiding and curling? Overall? Because you said something along the lines of "Do you guys know how long this takes..." and actually no, I have no clue xD - several hours, I'd imagine?

Bevybabydoll: Absolutely Gorgeous I love the fact that she took her time and did an outstanding job just because !

Rosann Ashe: I have travelled a lot and i love your explanation of global practices. Too many people apply their home country cultural norms to other countries in an arrogant/or unintentional fashion. You are helping to inform many.

Jamie M. M.: I have no african american ancestry and I thought this was so informative and interesting! Its nice to see perspectives from other areas and from other people, because I will never have this kind of hair experience due to the consistency of my hair and I just thought this was so cool! Thanks for sharing!

Sugah69: Your Ghana braids were beautiful. The stylists did an awesome job. ♥️

Anita Mlem: Ghana & Nigerian people know how to braid . When we went back to Nigeria that’s how they braided my hair!! My hair was literally PERFECT

Dolly Johnson: The team work is on point, I'm just loving how she passing that hair to her without missing a beat

Tina Michelle Pitts: I loved this video and those braids are beautiful!! Braided to perfection!

Stephanie Mitchell: I've never seen braids at that level... So many of them, all so tight and neat, and with those beautiful curls at the bottom. Omg, you look stunning!

Lovelybyfar1: These braids are gorgeous!! Wow that stylist hands are truly gifted!!

_AirOnTheAir_: I love what you said about leaving tips at restaurants, etc. I’m American and feel the same way! (Tips are not mandatory!) your hairs looks great btw!

Seraphim O: The brown stuff in the dish you were trying to remember is shito, right? Also thank you for crowning Ghana jollof in its rightful place as number 1! Food aside, I love the braids and they were painless in installation. Thanks for the vid

chandra johnson: Wow, when I make my way to Ghana I will definitely get my hair braided!!!

Bella Jaee: I'm from the Bahamas and I usually go to a Haitian lady to braid my hair. She's so fast and braids extremely neat and close together. When I go to her, I usually pay $120 excluding extensions, but it's worth it lol.

holaitserin: It's so crazy that this was in my recommended because this morning I was at church looking after kids and some sisters that I take care of had had their hair done and it looked amazing. I was so curious how it was done, it was sort of like how you had the curls done at the end of your braids but they were a lot thicker and more compact- how would that have been achieved? Also- have you ever done braids in little kids hair before? If so, do they usually sit well considering how long it takes or are you super quick?

DarkWitchie: This is beautiful! Black hair is magical you can literally do anything designs colors etc I’d love to ask my sister pria if she’d like to get her hair done like this c:

-- 아리아미Zen: I’m white and found this so beautiful honestly! I love seeing people with those since there is so much work into it and it’s so pretty

Jen: Wow. Amazing work. I get my hair permanently straightened and it takes 1 8hr session and a second 6hr session the next day because my hair is so thick, coarse and curly. (I’m white) The pain I’m in after that... I can’t believe this was painless! She has magic hands. Thank you for posting this, very interesting

Emmss: Beautiful. They did such a great job! Wow, makes me want to take a flight to Ghana!

J g: The braids are sooooo perfect ... I was thinking the same thing when u said it that's the same way I braid and ppl tell me its painless all the time ... it's just the way I learned and it's become a habit for me.

TheMangoDiaries: $250 Ghana Cedis is about $46 dollars American for those who wanted to know❤️❤️❤️

Desert Mermaid: So interesting how different tribes had different braiding techniques!!!! Just lovely hair. Thanks for sharing.

Jenni Alise: Tipping for braiding is very diff than ripping in restaurants in the US. They dont get paid the same hourly so most of their money comes from their tips. It is based on the level of service they provide, in respect to how much you tip them for providing such a service. They are literally serving you. In hair its as you stated an additional show of gratitude.

Melissa LuvsPlease: I was absolutely mesmerized watching these ladies work their magic. Beautiful!!

WAKE AND BAKE WITH MARY JANE: TIPPING :In Canada, thats what it is here. You do it because you got great service, or we want to. We feel no requirement to tip you because we walked in. I rarely tip and always get great service regardless. Its a bonus not a requirement here. Absolutely stunning braids too ;) !!

Dani D: Braids absolutely AMAZE me. They’re beautiful and the hands that braid.. just wow. She worked sooo fast

Bunny Brh: So pretty, and the final result is bomb ! Make me want to go there

Shae Sugar: This is BEAUTIFUL!!! <3 It looks like she is doing "underhand" braiding...that's what we call it in the Caribbean.

milky way: I don't even brush my hair at this point in my life. I have nothing but respect and a face of pure amazement at the care required for this type of hair.

Mudawi: This is so satisfying to watch it’s so organized and pretty looking

RobinB26: If I paid 18.00 or 50.00 for braids this good, I’m tipping. It’s not about being flashy or throwing money around. It’s paying for their hard work and great services. Showing them they are worth more. And that you appreciate their great work, patience, and kindness. Especially from someone who charge 4 times + that amount. Or have paid 4 times that amount. A small tip is nothing.

PepperedZebra: Going back to Ghana in October and I am growing my hair out just so i can get my hair just like this is so beautiful. ❤

HIH: wow the talent and hard work these woman put into their profession

korina Slack: Wow super talented ladies ....sending love from Canada In my small town there is not so many stylists that braid and the ones that due are so booked up and its pretty expensive. But sure love all the different ways the hair is braided so beautifully.

kiana: this is so beautifullll. i have always wanted to get braids like this sometime to see how it feels but living in america, i dont wanna deal with the attack of people saying i am black fishing or trying to be black or whatever.

Kameelah Play: This is amazing a wonderful job, also I know like 3 women in America who braid like that, when u got the talent u jus got it, pls don’t find another way to divide all hairstylists are artist and hair is the canvas, y’all all SLAY!

Gabby Velasquez: $46?!!?! for all of THAT?! my hair stylist charges me over $100 just for some highlights wow

Expert Writer: My Nigerian in-laws came to America, and they refused to tip. It’s not a part of their culture in the sense that Americans do. Fast forward, a family member came to the US and had no papers and she had to take a job as server in a restaurant. She now understands tipping and she tips every where she goes now life is ironic.

Shecute Queen Saf: Really love and proud of my country Ghana ❤️

Kelechi Precious Nwachukwu: OMG! I’m just drooling over the way she’s handling the braid.

M’s Things: Omgosh! Your hair looks so pretty! Those parts are so precise they look like they are machine done! I loved watching this!

Girl On The Go: I loved how you just throw in the African accent! And the tipping thing I totally get. I grew up in Jamaica and there we don’t normally tip, so I only tip when I feel like it and not every time.

HomesByTyesha: This is SOOOOO DOPE! This would be a dope series to travel to each country in Africa and get a new style.!!!

Cheyenne Lanae: I just got my hair done by a Nigerian woman and I love it and them because the shop is so clean comfortable and quiet and my hair doesn't hurt at all I love the atmosphere ❤.

Anjenette A: looks amazing! i love Ghana. i got my hair done when i went last year and loved it

Rachel Amber Everleigh: I'm not dark-skinned and my hair isn't even curly, but I love watching videos like these. This is truly art. Btw you are absolutely gorgeous!

Kim Perry: These braids are the most beautiful and neatest that I ever seen God has definitely gifted her hands. simply amazing!!!!

Aldís Eir Hansen: Couldn't agree more about the tipping, I come from Iceland and there has never been a tipping culture here until tourism exploded. Now there are sometimes tipping jars on the counters. I like to be able to tip when I think the service has been outstanding or I'm just feeling generous, but feeling like I have to makes me not want to. I get my hair braided once a year (my hair is very thin, trying not to pull it all out) here by a woman from Ghana and it's so beautiful, my favorite time of year!

Miss April: It looks amazing. I barely handle getting a full foil, cut, and style. This takes so much patience for both parties.

Dawn of Beauty: Yes I braid like this and not common to see this way of braiding , and yes braids very flat and neat, plus pain free! Thank Yu so much for sharing your experience, I definitely enjoyed watching

Sandi Sue: I’m sorry if I offend anyone by hoping into the comments, I fully get that I can’t speak about anyone else’s culture or traditions with any true understanding of it. I like to watch these videos, there is so much beauty beyond the physical aspects of hairstyles. I’m in the US and am feeling helpless about the political climate. I realized that I had to make every effort to learn as much as possible about things as “simple” as hair (and much more) so I can educate my kids about different cultures. The more I learn the more my mind is absolutely blown. Thank you for sharing

Wood Dweller: Beautiful out-come for the braids, I really hope that maybe one day in my future that I will be able to travel and reach Africa to visit multiple Countries while I am there <3

Dai C: I got my hair braided in Ghana once. 2 women worked on my hair, they supplied the hair, and they came to my hotel. I got medium size box braids for $40 and apparently they overcharged me.

Hope Springer: These braids look PERFECT! So neat I love them

Crystal Suishou: Thank you for sharing. What an art! How much of this life to discover and to appreciate, in humans and in their wonderful talents and skills, as well as in the other realms <3

Olivia Sturgeon: I think tipping culture is very dependent on where you live. Many countries pay their servers livable wages, but others like Canada and the US pay servers below minimum wage. It is only legal to do this because they are expected to make up the difference in tips. In my city of Toronto, you are expected to tip anyone who performs a service, from nails, to hair, to restaurants, to cabs etc. Our rent prices are extremely high, and without tips, many servers can’t afford their apartments since they make below minimum.

Jade Walker: im always so scared of going and getting braids bc i like to be really liberal with the baby hairs i leave out and im so scared the stylist would either not do what i ask or judge me if i requested she/they leave out a lot of baby hairs. but she seemed very considerate of you and ran by how much you wanted left out in a very kind way, asking if it was alright. im jealousss

BitchOnWheelz: Absolutely gorgeous work! Love it!

Gina Sheffield: I am so glad youtube recommended your channel, you got yourself a new subbie. Anyway don't listen to them heffas, keep doing what you know to be right when it comes to tipping. Tipping is cultural and some people think it is rude to do so. You know your pockets better.

hersupreme: It’s like the way she’s braiding is to ensure is neat and flat, perfection
