How To | Diy Microlocs Installation Part 2 | (Braided Root) & Two Strand Twist Method

In today’s video, I’m showing you guys how I install my daughters microlocs ! This is her second set of microlocs, the first set was taken out because I didn’t know much about interlocking at the time and wanted to retwist, but it didn’t come out how I planned.

But I’ve done my research for months & we will be interlocking using the 2 point rotation method. I will make sure to film the first retie for you guys

She has always loved microlocs better, it gives her a fuller look and wayy more confidence.

Anywayssss…. The method I used to start is both BRAID & TWO STRAND TWIST. I’ve always done this method, even with traditional locs & it just works so much better for us ESPECIALLY little kids. My girls have a lot of little hairs that will never stay in place so that’s why I braid the roots.

This whole process took about 8 active hours.

I hope you guys enjoy the video, make sure to like, comment, SUBSCRIBE & SHARE with a friend (especially if they have a child & have been considering microlocs or locs)

So, hey you guys, it's your girl, creo jazz, welcome or welcome back to my channel today i am showing you guys how i install my daughter's micro locks and yeah. Let'S just get straight to it. So first i'm applying the product the murray's edge, wax. I am using it, i didn't plan on using product at all, but she has little hairs and little flyaways whatever you want to call them and they just don't stay in place. So i'm using this simply to just have the hair come together and make the install as smooth as possible. Now i'm going to detangle her hair from bottom to top. With the pick now, i'm laying down my part foundation, i don't really know what to call it, but i do part the whole straight row across all at one time, because if there is one that i don't like, i don't want to have to take it all. The way out and then go back, i want to make sure i, like my parts before i even start installing them so, and these are the last two rows of her hair. I did mirror the other side with the parts that i'm doing now. I just took my comb and traced it to the other side, basically to have the same amount of locks at the top. I don't know if that makes sense, but yeah okay, now that i'm done laying down all of her parts, i'm going to start detangling and start braiding at the roots. I probably braid about five six times and then i start twisting. So i'm showing you guys a close-up of that right now and the reason i braid at the root instead of just going straight into two strand twists, is because i don't know if it's just kids, but they have a lot of little hairs flyaways. Whatever i mentioned it already, and i just want to make sure i can get as much of the hair as possible into the lock instead of having to deal with that. You know when i have to do the first retie, so i always no matter if it's traditional locks, i always braid their roots. It just makes this process a whole lot more smoother, and now i'm going to show you guys again, i'm just going to separate the hair into three sections and then i'm going to start braiding. Now i am going to show you a close-up. What i'm doing with my thumb, because it looks like i'm braiding - really tight, but i'm just using my thumb to push the hair the braid up a little bit more, so it stays in place and it's as close to the root as possible. Okay and i'm gon na show you guys one more time, i'm going to split the hair in three and then i'm going to start braiding the root about five six times and then i'm going to two two strand twist, all the way to the end. Okay, you guys she is installed, she is moosed up, she is moisturized and she is loving her locks. I hope you guys love it as much as we do, and i hope you guys did enjoy this video. I'M gon na. Give you a few close-ups and extra looks at her grids, her parts and everything make sure you guys like comment and subscribe, and please share this with a friend someone. That'S looking to do. Micro, locks or locks period, kids. Anything so make sure you guys share, and i will see you guys in the next video i'm feeling myself. I'M feeling my feelings. You

CreoleJazz: I just did Tribal Braids on her DIY Microlocs Go watchhhh & let me know how I did https://youtu.be/54YgAGJkqJs

Ọlatunde O: Such a patient, obedient, and absolutely adorable child. Well done Mum.

J Marie: Pffft.... And you have the nerve to say you're not a professional... girlfrannnnn, you are the REAL deal. This is absolutely beautiful. You did such an amazing job. I'm feeling inspired to start mirco-locs on my 4 y/o. I'm a little over four years loc and it was the BEST hair decision I have EVER made. Can't wait to see her loc journey evolve.

Esha: She is adorable and the style is so fitting for her. I can’t wait to do mine this year.

LaSharie Hodo: This makes me want to do mine even more this so pretty

Vida Con Izzy: I'm so happy you did this on your daughter... cause that means we'll get to see the progress.. hopefully. Please continue to share her loc journey with us!

Benita Angela: These looks great. I never even thought of pre-parting each row. As I contemplate starting my own locs this is a great thing to see as the parting is the only thing I’m worried about. Also love that you braided the roots. Great user-friendly alternative to interlocking

CakeButter And batter: I am officially about to loc my daughters hair . She hates getting her hair done and I’m sick of the crying and yelling and the hassle PLUS she literally locs her own hair ! She will twist it until it locs by itself and then I try to get it out and hair falls out so this is the best for her

Jaelyn Nyleaj: These are soo beautiful! This is perfect timing because I’m installing mine this weekend!

D.L33 Kr3ati0nZ: Ma'am. YOU DID THAT!. Her hair is beautiful. Trying to convince my daughter for locs with this.

CreoleJazz: This is your sign to LOC UPP !! Do you have microlocs or traditional, & how long have you had them ??? Also I want to say to the ppl, mothers, kids anyone ! Don’t let the “permanent” word scare you into not getting locs! If you ever change your mind you don’t have to cut your hair, they can be COMBED OUT ! nothing about locs is permanent if you have the patience & motivation to comb them out I’ve done this 7 times already with all 3 of us….

Sharde Taylor: Thank you so much . I took my daughters locs out and now she wants them back in. I’ve been looking for a detailed video like this!!!

SugaSweets🤍: omg so beautiful , im thinking about starting mine, do i start with dry hair or wet?

Sandy Roberts: Great job,, beautiful.

sweetpeechiz: Beautiful commentary on SL But please be careful out here when it comes to your SL , everyone is not out here for your good on your hair periodT. I let a girl In Hayward CA, name Kristin do my Sisterlock install- ‍♀️ she was awful to say the least and very unprofessional. I went to her for a couple of more months, but my gut told me to stop going to her. She did not know what she was doing. She did not do the Sisterlocs grid- she messed up my hair- and had the nerve to get upset because I stopped tipping her. In the meantime I was looking for a new sister Loctician ….and I actually reported her to Sisterlock foundation . I have a new lady now , in San Leandro California. She is amazing ! Some of these folks out here do not want to take care of your hair. They only want the money. And her attitude was definitely from the devil.. If you feel it in your gut, please do your research. Do not go to the first person you see! This is my second set of Sisterlocks. Soon I will be doing a channel myself regarding my Sisterlock journey. be safe out here folks when it comes to your hair!

Meloney Hooker: My hair is like this now except the shrinkage is soooooo real!

adrian palomino: Me encanta

Katina Brooks: Awesome ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Angela Steele: So what do you do if they start unraveling since u didn't interlock?

Charity Ndlovu: Very beautiful. How do you re-touch them?

Regina G: Very lovely ☺

finallyanaccount: Do the twists not unravel a bit when wash day comes? I’m always a bit confused when I watch these videos because the hair isn’t locked with like one of those needles.

Raquel: I liked the video even before I watched, I just knew I would enjoy it. 3 mins in and I'm liking it

Mary A Davies: You are my best friend from today as you made it so easy

Eva Dale Mosley: Beautiful.... Spreading Love and Smiles to Ya Channel ☺️☺️☺️

ButterflyTaee: It’s her playing with her Barbie down for me ❤

Milan wrld: If you don’t mind me asking What made you choose micro locs for her and traditional locs for your other kid ? Did they choose the size they want themselves?

Mellon kembabazi: It's beautiful for sure

J Marie: I had to comment again. This is pure

Fedelyne Dieujuste: Beautiful

Alexis Moore: Thank you for this and thank you for leaving the comments on.

Veronica M Harvey: I did my daughters hair but i did north east aouth west then interlocked the roots.. shes 10. Took me days..its been over a year now.

R James: 8hrs isn't that bad. I have sister locs, 3 days for me! I was thinking I know this little girl anit that patient lol

K smith: Going to try this on my 6 yo

Song James: Her hair is gorgeous it turned out so beautiful. Good job Mom I would rather see little girls hair locked in mother's put perms in the children hair. Oh she's a cutie by the way tell her I love her hair

AKIYIAKELLY: Great job

Nikki Green: How do u tighten these when the roots grow

Trina Gibson: How long did it take to complete them

Dovesunderwater: Nice job. Too much oil will cause lint build up in her locks. Also lite color hats.

Melanie Reynolds: Question ,can you say if it's hard to loose out and how often you do the hair

Two piece and a biscuit: does it stay more moisturized longer when you put products on the loc compare to when it's not loc???

Phoenix_Fya999: Do you teach? Excellent work!!
