Hi guys I got up this morning and I think I think I decided I just want to braid my hair random decision, but I have quite a few beanies lying around cheapy here packs of Kanekalon hair. So you remember a couple months ago I did senegalese twist and I think last year I did some box braids and I have some of this hair leftover from each time. I did my hair, so I figured maybe I'll just do some jumbo braids. Typically, when i braid my brains turn out, there always turn out smaller than what I initially wanted. So I don't know how good I'm going to be putting in jumbo braids, but I'm gon na give it a shot and see how it turns out. I'M gon na use my fingers and try to do an arch shaped part. So I've got this piece, but the hair, and here we go wrap it on my hair and then just start to braid oops and then before my hair runs out. Just take the larger section and split it and then continue braiding. I actually want to put micro braids in in November, because the boy and I are planning on taking a little vacation, and so I figure I should probably brush up on my braiding. I haven't braided for a while, so that's why I thought. Maybe I could do some jungle braids just you know, get my fingers back in motion and these these I wouldn't keep for long. So just practice. Okay, so I've been going at it for about an hour and a half now and I've got a decent chunk done. They did actually turn out smaller than I had been visualizing them in my head. But what do you and so far I'm really liking this new parting method that I'm using because typically I use a column. I use a rat tail home and I do the box parting method, so little squares stacked up on top of each other like a brick laying pattern, but with the arches I find that the hair falls a little bit better like it doesn't look scalloped II. You know it is five hours in and I ran a hair. I got a decent chunk done, so I could actually just gather it into a ponytail, and you can't really tell, but here is what's left to do it's Saturday, it's 8:30 p.m. so the beauty. Supply store is already closed. I know I can get this hair at Walmart, it's overpriced, but I might send the boy. This is what I get every time I go driving anywhere with the dog. It'S just staring at me in my face as I'm driving it's the most annoying thing, just constant staring staring staring staring staring. What the what the front door is wrong with you, I'm gon na with ya go pick up some hair, so the boy ended up going to the store for me and picking up some more hair. So I'm done. I just happened to ponytails because I'm about to dip the ends in boiling water and then trim off some of the scraggly ends. So it took me seven hours and nine packs of hair, so I'll be back to show you the finished. Look. They turned out pretty good they're completely done, as you can see, I dip them in boiling hot water and I've gotten this question before as to why I dip it in hot water or what it does and basically it helps the hair form a seal, because remember This is synthetic it's Kanekalon which basically a fancy plastic material, so the boiling water actually melts the plastic or material down to help form a seal that way it doesn't unravel blank. I guess so. It'S really thick and full, which I love looking forward to doing. Like a really big bun again with these braids and some Solange inspired, looks maybe on Miss Toni daily, we're gon na rock these for a few weeks, not too long, maybe about three weeks and then take them off and then move on to my growth. So wish me luck and I'll see you in the next video peace

SWEETGA BROWNIN: Beautiful Toni! Love your gifted hands. I need to practice this, I'm not even good at braiding my own hair, but this video is definitely inspiration

Reshea D: They look great! I can't wait to see the styles you come up with!

Tulip A: Amazing job! I LOVE! I'm getting braids for my winter protective style n a few months. :-)

Brown Girl Reading: Love the braids on you!!! they look great! I've always had problems with hair loss after braids. I think if I do it again I'll do the twisits like you did. What kind of hair did you use for that?

Nico. B: You inspired me to try myself! Thanks Toni! Repping for the T.O girls :)

Natasha P: they came out sooo nice! I really like the parting method you used, too.

Toia Barry: Hey Toni! Long time, no comment lol. Looks great as always girl. I almost did braids myself, ended up doing twists. May try single braids after these with a lil break in between.

Térésa Scotland: I like you with braids! The fro is still my fave, though. I was thinking of braiding my hair and thought it would take too long, but based on what you said here it's perfectly do-able. I've taken longer to install twists without extensions. Thanks for sharing. Sweet of the boy to go get your hair :-) And I think he's right about the dog...that would freak me out a bit. LOL Blessings...

KurlyMommy G: I have been so afraid to just go for it and do my own braids. These turned out great and you make it look so easy

zani: i love your hair journey toni.. i like that you do so many different braid styles cos i love to rock some braids. your one of the best on the YT !! keep the videos coming!!!

MsTommieg: I love your videos because you don't claim to be perfect in your braiding or styling BUT your styles always turn out FLY!

Lira1515: Its so crazy i just saw this vid as I have been thinking about doing Solange inspired box braids with Kanekelon very similar to these...i bought the hair yesterday and everything. I am worried about them coming out too small as well. I actually would not mind the size of yours though. Great job!

TheDeadlyCycle: I LOVE yarn braids for the fall/winter. Have you ever tried them? They're like locs without the commitment. I love it.

UTubeuzername: Those look really good, I wish I had the patience to do something like that

Cara Bella: Beauty Marked: Sigh, I still need to learn how to braid my own hair! LOL. Looks great chica!

Toni Daley: Thank you! I worked with the length right out the pack, I just trimmed after I had dipped it in the boiling water.

Moluwa: I wish I could do my own braids or twists like you and many others...till then u guys will be magicians to me

GirlFridayblog: ive been rocking the single braids as well but i used the Biba Super Natural 45" Remi Yaki Braiding hair for mines (cut in half of course) I think I like this better far as texture I think you should try it if they sale it in Canada Your braids are always on point p.s. thats right send the boy and the pup to get that hair lol

SK McCall: I drape the hair over a chair and that is how I keep it from tangling too much. When I pull hair off, I smooth the remaining hair out before re-raping over the chair.

herriot hill: Do you wash the weave with vineagar and water to prevent any allergic reactions, im getting mines done next week and i wanna know if i should buy it myself and wash it and then have them braid it

Genna Miller: They don't look heavy at all are they I'm getting these and I want that size I wish I had the patience to do them myself love your!!

iluvtheWEIGH iam: I will say u inspired me to do my own braids though. No offense just a ittle advice theres some ointment called "baby dont be bald". Its in a white jar at any Bss. I use to wear wigs and I had a bad experience with micros where it took my edges.off before. Im thinking about geting box braids or Havana twists and leaving a small amount of my edges on the side out and applying that ointment so I can make sure I dont lose my edges. U should see if that ointment works for u.:)..nice video

Sheena Bailey: I love braid but my edges are soooo fragile. They fall out At the drop of a hat if I pull on em!!

G.DoloresPlants: Toni, They came out very nice.

D'Journae SHEA: How do you part the back of your head, I find it so difficult !!! Do you have any tips?

Toni Daley: sure! instead of using a comb to make straight parts I used my fingers to make arch shaped parts

Shon9tilR: Is there a way to soften this hair? Cuz mines move just like that kind of stiff

T Noah: I did the same thing this past Sunday...randomly decided to braid my hair. I like yours better...

Alvie EK 143: lmbo..."I might have the boy go..." I love it...

E Smith: Awwww! He went and got it!
