Braids Using Kanekalon Hair (Xpressions Brand)

Hey guys,
This is another tutorial (protective hair style). I used Xpressions brand.....by far the best braiding hair out there as far as quality and price wise. I used only one pack and had enough to redue the first few rows in the front when it got fuzzy.
In order to keep your braids from unraveling...be sure to dip in hot water. If you want them to be curly at the ends, just rod the ends before you dip them in hot water. I left one side straight and curled the other so you could see the different style options.
TIPS
*make sure you have plenty of time...it took me two days because I braid really slow lol
*Be sure to braid a little past your hair because it will unravel before you get a chance to dip you hair in water
*wrap with silk scarf and/or bonnet at night to preserve style

Chasing4eva: Do you braid to the scalp a little to protect your edges? I'm considering doing my braids again, but flat twisting the front without extensions to protect my edges. Last year, my edges broke off when I took my braids out. My hair is really thick so it's not noticeable, but I know it's broken off. I watched your video on braiding your edges to protect them and I have been doing that so I won't manipulate them. Do you find that braiding a little on the scalp with the extension protects them?
