Crochet Versatile Braid Pattern

Enjoy my braidless crotchet pattern. I tried a new braiding pattern that gives the illusion of individual braids. This only took me 20 minutes from start to finish.

Hey babies, welcome back to my channel if you are new here, welcome now's a good time to go ahead and click that subscribe button. You guys know a big chopped back in march y'all. Look at this ponytail ponytail! Look at this afro! First of all, it's early in the morning disregard what i'm using is my meow almond oil, i've already shampooed condition and used a leave-in. You guys i'm actually working on some products for you, so those details will be coming shortly, um, but this video is definitely going to be a base for crochet. So, of course, we've been doing the versatile uh parting and things like that for the crochet braids. But i'm going to show you a way to get this same style without having to do any braiding at all. I know a bunch of you are, you guys are like. Oh, i can't braid chrissy like i don't know how i'm going to do this style. Well, guess what now you're going to be able to do it, so what we're doing is just parting out the hair. Like i said you want to make sure that you are completely moisturized. I already have that, leaving in already have a little bit of oil going. I have not soaked my scalp with anything. I don't really care for that. The hair that i'm going to be ultimately using is going to be the tiana passion twist. There will be a link to that in my description box below, but definitely make sure that you're subscribed and turn on your post notifications that way, you'll see once the final tutorial is posted you guys. This hair is really really soft, really long already, i'm in love, but, as you guys can see, i've already parted out my hair, we're going to start from the middle part and then to be able to really get a precise part. You kind of want to split everything starting from your eyebrow somewhere in the middle and then i'm going to split that into two eventually as well. So you guys know for me parting is super duper easy. If you are a beginner, you can watch this over and over and over again. You guys ask me all the time chrissy. How do you part your own hair? It takes practice right from the beginning, i always remember, being able to part, but it does take practice seriously to be able to just kind of do it almost with your eyes closed now for edge control, you guys have told you i'm working on products, so i Can'T give away all the details right now for this edge control, so just use what you love. You guys know. My go-to product has always been the cream of nature. Extra strength hold. Of course, it provides a ton of shine and it keeps your hair moisturized without getting that kind of cakey build up. Look so definitely be on the lookout for what i have coming to you pretty soon um, but nevertheless we're going to use that to go ahead and split this up now, my head shape is going to be different from your head shape. So i know you guys are always curious. I'M wondering uh how many braids do you have? How many parts did you do girl? Don'T worry about that, do what is according to your head? The goal is for you just to see how to section it out. If you want more hair, definitely make your smaller. I guess make your part smaller. If you want less, do the opposite, but you guys can see i'm using some rubber bands. They are the high quality ones. You don't want the cheap ones that are going to pop. You definitely want this to be a pretty sturdy type of rubber band and then i'm going to go ahead and just kind of finger twist that down and connect it. So if you guys are familiar with the connector, is it connect parts connect box? I don't know what to call that type of hairstyle, but the connects you guys remember those from back in the day when you do the connects and then you do the little um bantu knot at the end, y'all that hairstyle used to be so freaking cute, but Nevertheless, i'm gon na go ahead and connect them, and once i get to the end, i'm going to go ahead and just twist it out, so i'm literally only focusing on the front of my hair, i'm not going to be taking these boxes all the way down. This is something you could definitely switch up if you want to do the boxes all the way around towards the back, you can, if you have the intention of being able to put it up in a ponytail and kind of still show off that versatile parting. You definitely can for me when i do my pro crochet. I never leave it in longer than maybe three to four weeks and that's just because i have to get back to like recording and all that stuff for you guys. But what i will say is if i was going to wear this longer. I would totally do parts all around the side and in the back area just to really be able to maximize the style, and i guess wear it a little bit longer as well. So, but that will totally be up to you if you want to do that, you guys kind of see that rolling technique that i'm using with a little bit of edge control going down just so that the connect, i guess once you actually connect it to the Other box or other part area you want to make sure that it lays flat. You don't want to have any fuzzy hair sticking out or anything like that, because, of course, if you look really really closely, your neighbor might be able to see that small little line going backward to me. It'S not a worry at all, just because this hair is so full so thick that it will almost be invisible. So i don't - i wouldn't worry about that too too much, but you are going to want to make sure that you are moisturizing those ends. So i know i lightly put a little bit of oil in it before definitely make sure that your hair is trimmed beforehand. I do actually have a video on how to trim your hair and that's something you guys need to see, because it's going to be important when you're doing these protective styles, you don't want to just keep taking them out, putting them in taking them out doing that Over and over, you want to make sure that your hair is protected at all times. What that means is you want to maintain your hair, not only with the regular shampoos conditioning and that whole process? You also want to make sure that you are moisturizing those ends. If you are like me, and you have type 4 hair that is going to be crucial to retaining length, you guys know, i did that big chop i've already gotten my hair pretty much all even all over. I did record that video also, if you guys, want to see that updated trim video, let me know um, i finally just kind of got rid of everything else, and now that my bangs have kind of caught up a little bit. We are okay to do that, and so you guys i'm not putting the rubber bands too too tight. If you do find yourself uh, you know putting it too tight, especially in the front, go ahead and kind of use your hands to kind of loosen it up. A little bit because remember you're going to be connecting these and you don't want to break off your edges or anything like that. You definitely don't want to apply any type of oil directly to your scalp, because it will cause that rubber band to possibly pop a little sooner than it normally would. It will also cause that edge control to kind of get that weird casty white uh. Look to it so you just kind of want to keep your hair as fresh and light product free as possible. Is it light pro? No, you get what i'm trying to say. Okay, all right, i told y'all, it was early, don't judge by now. You guys should already have this down pack, but if not that's okay, i'm gon na go ahead and play some quick little tunes for you and then i will be back so pretty much to show you the finished product, all right, my love, so i truly apologize. My camera actually cut off, but this is what the hairstyle will look like underneath the crochet, so essentially, what i'm doing is flat twist all the way down. I did shave about two to be able to show you this, i'm literally connecting the twist that it already has so those connected ones with that twist going down the end and then i'm literally just kind of parting it out as if i was going to do. Cornrows and i'm flat twisting all the way down flat twists are super duper easy, it's literally just the same as twisting your hair. If you're going to be doing an individual strand, you literally just pick up a little hair as you go. I don't have a tutorial on how to flat twist, but if that's something you need to see, i can definitely do that because it would be a lot easier than the braiding video i've been attempting for. Like i don't know how long - and this is just a quick look at like where my hair is the length and all that i haven't measured it just because i don't really care what i really want to focus on is just maintaining that healthy hair. I did add a little bit more leave-in conditioner to this twist, just to keep them nice and healthy, and then, of course, you will be able to wash your hair inside of this style. You shouldn't need to, though, to be honest unless you have like a flaky scalp, but that would be like for a whole. Another conversation right so just to secure everything, i'm using those same rubber bands toward the end, not at the very end just toward the end, and then i'm pretty much just going to go ahead and pin them up in just a little bit y'all this low key Could have been a style, you add some clippings boom y'all. This could be cute, i don't know but anywho, i'm just going to go ahead and just kind of tie them up no and not in any strategic way. You could don't. Definitely i can't talk today. You could definitely uh sew them down if you want to for me, i'm trying to do this for my beginners, the people that aren't familiar with all this extras with the hair stuff. So i just use a simple bobby: pin um, it's gon na be completely invisible. This part won't really matter because once you crochet it on, you really won't be crocheting towards the nape of your neck, you're more so gon na crochet a little bit above that. But you guys will see that in the next video. So i hope you guys enjoyed it. I love you so much stay pretty all that good stuff. This is what the final result is. Gon na look like so definitely make sure that you are subscribed so that you can check that out. Follow me on instagram for any updates and all that forever chrissy. I love you and i will see you in my next video bye babies. You
