I am the owner of (Irene's Braids) located in Suwanee, GA. I'm always accepting new clients. I work out of my own private Salon Suite.

Hi guys it's irene's braids and i am back with another video okay, you guys. So let me just start off by saying that um for this particular video, i am doing a kids day. Well, my kids i'm here today, so i don't have any clients and i had to bring all three with me to work. As some of you may know, i currently um have a one-year-old, so my one-year-old pretty much runs this show. However, my uh two older girls are so helpful um with him, so you will see him peeping in and out of this video, all right, you guys so today. Originally this video was going to be um about how to do a feed-in, braided ponytail. But then my daughter was just complaining about how she wanted something different, so i said: okay cool. So now what we did was is. I did the braids originally for a ponytail, but then ended up, saying: okay, we're going to do a feed in braids, slash, crochet, curls um in the back. So that's pretty much. What i'm going to be showing you guys today, i'm not sure what i want to call this style and i've seen it a lot on on social media, but i don't know what they call this style, but you will see eventually, once i complete the look. Okay, so um, i did feed in her um her real hair for my smaller braids, i'm going to add two anchor braids towards the front. That'S what i call them the front anchor braid, so they can fall towards her face and then later on. I will add some cool beads to them, just to kind of bring them out and add a little accent to her braids. So i just completed that whole entire braid with her natural hair and then what i like to do is just take a small piece of braiding hair and i like to feed that in to give it a little bit more length, and i like to do it. This way because it adds less tension, so the more i can add less tension, that's what i would do for the entire set of braids um in her hair all right. So let's continue watching. So when i completed uh the front cornrows, i decided that i wanted to just do a a circular beehive pattern, but when i got down to completing the middle section, i decided to do s pattern. Instead that way the crochet braids can fall nicely. Now you can choose to do whatever you want for the back. You can braid the heart, their um cornrow straight back um. You could put it in the beehive pattern or you could acid um, as in braiding the braids across like an s. It'S up to you. However, for your your perimeter braid, it needs to be a circular braid for the perimeter, because i'm going to show you guys a great technique that way the um styles, i'm sorry the crochet braids can lay naturally. So i want you guys to make sure you do your braid pattern, how i did how i did it um around the perimeter, so i was able to use this particular hair already on one of my other clients and she was a special client as far as Then i don't do children, which everyone knows, but i do my own children and i did one particular child using this hair and she was a special client because of her mother and father, who asked me to braid her hair and she was considering my special clients Who i couldn't say no to all right, so this is um how i'm going to install the crochet braid. So you guys can watch me do that here and i will be back all right. You guys, so you see how those crochet braids are laying. It looks very natural and realistic so that hairline across the back or i want to say the front because it's the back, but it's still the front of where the crochets meet. No, you will not see any knots you're only going to see a natural, invisible foundation. So what i do is, i hook it through and i hook it through about three times, but i only hook one leg and then i pull them apart as far as ends pulling each side away from each other to tighten it up and when you tighten it, You want to make sure your knot is falling behind the back of the cornrow. So when that knot stays in place and then your crochet, then then your crochet braid doesn't move. So that's what you want to do in order to keep them in place. Okay, so again, i'm taking a small piece and i'm going to crochet it through the braid pattern and then i'm going to hook one side three times until it turns into a knot and i'm going to slide it through each side and i'm going to make sure. I pull them tightly that way. The crochet can stay in tight, so you
