10 Quick And Easy Box Braid Hairstyles | How To Style Box Braids

So really quickly, I just want to touch on what I do to kind of keep my hair looking nice and fresh and new. This is most right here. It doesn't really matter what mousse you use, but I try to use mousse like every so often, especially after. I wash my hair and this just helps the shine and hold and keeps your braids like from looking too rough. So I use it on the ends like I'm, showing you guys right here and also all over the braids and then, of course, I have my oil sheen spray by ores. I love this spray. It just adds a nice Sheen to the hair. It'S nothing to like overdone and shiny to make the hair look fake, but it just adds a nice little shine to it, and I also have this little travel-size die for like if I'm traveling or if I want to bring it along with me. It'S really handy. Okay, so you're gon na grab six braids about an inch above your eyebrow and then like a couple braids in from your hairline and braid forward, so that you create a nice big flat. Braid, I'm going to secure that braid with a rubber band and then just arrange your hair, how you want it to fall around that braid? This is just a really cute sort of boho chic look to do when you want something very quick and easy now, taking that same braid, I'm going to pull it to the opposite side and pin it behind my ear before you pin it, you want to pick Up any braids, you want to fall under that jumbo braid and then use bobby pins to hold the end down I used to, and that was enough for me. You can also use bobby pins to secure it at the top and that's what the braid looks like at the top super. Pretty look now on the opposite side: in the same exact spot, we're going to braid forward again creating another jumbo flat braid secure this braid with a rubber band and then pin those braids in the back of your head in the center. So they're both going to meet at the center like this - and this is just a really pretty like pulled back - look a little bit romantic. So I would wear this for a date. Night, pull your hair up like you're, doing a half pony, but you want to pull your hair back quite a bit to give you some slack then make a little loop, then reach back and grab half that loop and pull it through the hair tie. This is going to give you a nice messy bun and the slack we created by pulling the hair all the way back is going to give a more relaxed look to this half pony. That'S what the messy bun looks like. I love love, love this for like an everyday thing, and now we're gon na do the same exact thing. Just with my whole head pull your hair back, so you have slack, create a loop and then pull half that loop through your hair tie. I like to mess it up a little bit by pulling some braids free love. It wore this like every day in undergrad we're gon na pull hair from around the ear area, so we're gon na stop above the ear and right behind it and you're going to make a big jumbo twist now. The way that you make a twist that's super defined is you're going to rotate your wrists towards each other. As you twist, this is going to give you a nice defined jumbo twist and it's kind of like doing senegalese twists if you've ever done that before so. Do that all the way down and secure with a rubber band? Now I'm arranging my hair, how I want it to fall behind these twists, pull strands back if you have to and then I'm going to pin these twists on the opposite side. So the left I'm going to pull all the way to the right side and pin it behind my ear and the right twist, I'm going to pull all the way to the left side and pin it behind my ear. I love this. Look. It'S so pretty and feminine, and it's just so easy and quick taking my hair and laying it on my chest, I'm going to grab three strands on each side right behind the lower half of my ear. You want to pull these strands back before you tie them. Giving you some slack that way, it's not going to feel really tight and then pick up a couple braids near the hairline behind your ear and wrap it around that tie that you did for both sides. This is what it looks like in the back. It'S so pretty and I get tons of compliments every single time. I wear this hairstyle now, I'm just parting, my hair down the middle and I'm grabbing small sections of about, let's say ten braids each in the front and I'm gon na pin it at the back of my head, and I did this in a sort of a Symmetrical way, so one side is lower than the other intentionally and you'll see. Why now start to grab section by section and wrap it sort of twisting it around and pulling it to the back. Do this all the way down your head until you get to the back and then pull it into like a pony and then take the ends loop it and pull it through and do this until all the hair is gone, and I just love this up too. It'S a nice updo. That'S not gon na put too much weight on the front of your hair, which is really good for your edges. I did the asymmetrical look because I wanted something that was more flattering on my face, and so I love love, love this style. So gorgeous for, like formal events, now I'm taking my hair splitting it down the middle and just doing a big braid on each side. The only thing to note here is that I'm taking the front and I'm using that to start the braid. This is going to give you a nice drapey. Look, that's very flattering on the face. You now we're just creating a big braid in the back. Nothing too special, but I just love doing this. For when I want to wear my hair back out of my face. Maybe I'm studying, maybe I'm going to class. This is a really easy way to look cute, but also effortless. These are just a bunch of, like I said, very easy, very simple, quick styles, just to change up your look from day to day, so I hope you guys enjoyed you want to see more hair videos.
