Hey guys Steven a salon guy here and I've got Robin next to me and Robin has been in a number of my videos and she is amazing at doing raids, as you can see here. So what we're doing today is the ragnar hair tutorial, which i've gotten lots of requests for and i'm sorry that's a bit late. But Robins did these really really cool abridge right here that you can see - and I think she's an expert. So I'm going to have her show you how to create these braids on this one section right here, but Ragnar's hair is a lot longer. I mean it's got hair like probably like down.you here and a big ponytail. Unfortunately, manikin hair is long enough for it to do that, but the one thing I can tell you is creating this type of undercut shape is really the sectioning of where you're you're holding us out, and I like to say it's the corner of the hairline right Into here, okay, you don't want to go too low or L, so it'll kind of droop down too much. You don't want to go too high, or also to be too much of like a mohawk and not enough hair. So you need the wisp on the top of the head with the hair in order to do this effect, so I want you guys to really understand that before I turn over to Robin and I used really it's like zero guard, I mean this is like skin. Pretty much all the way up to this point: it's not faded. It'S basically the one length shave all the way up to this point, and the hair, probably is I'd, say probably down to here. If it's taken down alright, if you want this type of look, this is where it is right here down past the chin. If you want this length for this particular type of look, so it's not too long in the back, as you can see here, so I'm going to turn over to Robin and she is going to show you guys how to get this braid, hey guys. So how I created the looks for ragnar, as I made three French braids on the top of the head, you can look at a previous video I made on Stephens channel on how to do a French braid. So if you want to go look that up, you can look it up and that will help you out. So I started in the middle just so I can automatically have the two side sections there and I just did regular French braid and to make it more rugged. Looking disheveled I picked apart the pieces, I made the braids a little bit looser just so. It'S more lives in the show, then what I did is I combined the three braids at the bottom, just because we didn't have the link. So that's how I created this look and thank you so much well, as you can see, Robin did a fantastic job and she's like really really talented and Thank You Robin, but one thing I want to emphasize and how to get that rugged. Look - and I was like begging her to let me do this - is if you're trying to take this. Look on your your own hair. What you do is you put your palm on the top, and you literally just go like this, and what that does. Is it breaks it up a little bit because in the show he's got like the braids but they're a little more kind of textured and got a lot of flyways so great way to do that because they're locked in is to just kind of rough it up? A little bit like that, you know, and she did such a great job with the braids that they're really locked in and you can really go in and then mess them up and create that like really kind of textured look, so thank you guys so much for Watching I hope you enjoyed this and we'll see you guys next time for more videos with Lana

Martin Hooijenga: Hey guys, I've had the undercut ever since the first season of Vikings (it just made sense to me) but I struggle getting it braided! Do you have any hints/ tips for me to do this to myself? The biggest problem I have it getting it uneven, one side much larger than the other and that usually has me undo it halfway through and not bother again for months. So basically I would have enjoyed this video more if it started from 0. Thanks guys!
