How To Refresh Curly Hair After Putting It Up Or For Second Day Hair.

How to refresh curly/wavy 2c/3a hair for second day hair using the curly girl method.

Hi curly girls, i'm going to show you how i refresh my hair after work um. I put my hair up like this and i leave it in a little ponytail. It'Ll be drying. Sometimes still my hair takes forever to dry, so it'll be wet. Sometimes, when i put it up and what i do is i just use um. Well, let's look at it if the curls look pretty good and not that frizzy, i just use suave naturals to just kind of moisture pumps, your curl up so um. I just use this if i just need a little moisture, if i need, if, like the shape, is messed up, see how these curls are not a correct shape and there's like an indention for my scrunchie um i'll use a mixture of 1 3 gel one-third conditioner For moisture and um the silicone pre-conditioner, of course, and one-third water and then, if my hair has a lot of product - and i just want to refresh - i don't want a lot going on a lot more products in my hair, i can use lavender essential oil, which You can get on amazon or at whole foods or at health food store, and i just put one drop in the spray bottle. If that's too much, you can put it in a huge bottle and then pour it into there. So um. Let me just see if i can refresh it and it not take too long hold on all right. So i'm going to show you how i refresh it with this lavender spray and some uh swab naturals, because it's not super crazy frizzy messed up curls. So i just flipped my hand over for volume, and i just spray it in before doing the curly groin method. I could not do this because the silicone is coating, my hair, so my hair wouldn't absorb natural oil and uh. The oil would just sit on top of my hair in the conditioner, because you guys are probably thinking if she's putting conditioner hair. Why isn't she greasy well, when you get rid of the silicone it actually absorbs, and it doesn't feel heavy and sticky like before? Okay, so just get it wet or you can just do - is uh refresh with swap naturals like i did before. But if your hair is finer or you uh don't want, the conditioner could make it feel a little heavier and like a more of a product feeling um. This is an even lighter way just doing the lavender oil, but i like to have a lot of moisture in my hair because it is coarse and porous and especially since i bleach my hair well highlight it. That'S more porous so yeah, just scrunch it and scrunch around the face, of course, and then just kind of let it go in its natural part. And then i will let it air dry and just let you see what i do to um scrunch out the crunching. Okay, now i've scrunched up the crunch um one thing: i did spray some of this on top of my hair too, just like this to kind of get rid of a little more frizz um, but the lavender oil spray is good too, because it has cleansing properties. Um, but this is good like if you don't have time to do your hair in the morning and you're like oh: no, it came out bad or, if, like um, your hair is second day hair out of a pineapple, and it's really frizzy. You can try any of these different techniques to refresh and just play with it. If your hair is thicker, you can probably go straight with condition or like if it's more curly, if it's not, you need to go with something lighter like the spray gel can dish. Combo and if you have a ton of products in your hair, probably you know just something light, or you know something like this or this. This is heavier than this, but um. You know i would not do just straighten dish if i had already had a lot of product in my hair, but just try it bye.

Rosa Alba: I started the CG method about three weeks ago and have seen a big improvement in how my curls are starting to take shape, however when I try to refresh them on the 2nd day, I've noticed that spraying water and then adding moisturizer (suave) messes up the shape and creates frizz.  Do you have any suggestions?  Than you!

7saany: I love your hair it seems so easy toi style!mine is a little thicker and it gets frizzy very fast!

Rebecca Tsusaki: Your videos have helped me so much! Thank you!

Dawn-Marie Kelley: I always wondered if you could just spray your hair and add a little conditioner to it like that. I was always afraid to try, but now that you did this video I know what to do! Thanks! I have some frizz that drives me crazy and I bought the Shea Moisture products, but I was afraid it was making it frizzy...it could be that I switch what I use weekly.

Sarah Mckee: How wet do you need to wet your hair before putting on the spray?

laura smith: I'm just beginning this Curly Girl Method and trying to grow my hair out so I still have shorter bangs that have to be styled and placed everyday... what hairspray can I use to hold my bangs?

Molly Warren: When you use this method, how wet do you get your hair and roughly how Mich conditioner do you use? Because I tried this this morning and my hair just frizzled :-( (ps I am using the curlygirl method with no sulfates or silicones).

Amal Alharthi: Nice .. very useful info thank you :)

TheCrawler07: I can't get my suave naturals to dissolve in the water bottle, it stays in little clumps floating on the water.  Any ideas why this is happening?

RockynCurls: Molly I got it very wet and used a lot of conditioner. MY hair was sssoooooo dry in the beginning. Now I do this: https://youtu.be/B3GuogJi_TQ

katrianna ♡: Is it that you have to scrunch out the crunch because the gel get reactivated?

Gemma Welch: Thanks so much!!!!
