She literally just ruined her hair. She needs to drop the secret for that. Don'T try that at home, hi guys it's lana here and today i want to react to some tick-tock curly hair videos. I'M sure you already know that tick-tock is kind of a crazy place and some of the stuff that you see with the hair care these days is blowing my mind. So let's take a look, so i'm gon na look at the hashtag just curly hair. This just killed my mood if you just search curly hair. The first thing that comes up is this filter. There is one curly hairfield or on tick tock, and this is it they could have had something really nice. They could have had people making. Some trend like this filter is a sign that you should let your natural curls flow. Why is the profanities coming out of my mouth anyway? That'S the story for another day. Let'S move on to the reactions. Oh, my gosh curly sanza says no products at all, no brushing just shampoo. Oh my gosh she's gon na do like a before and after oh my gosh. She needs to drop the secret for that. She told us nothing she's so bright in the caption. She says: frizz only means that there are hidden curls. That'S facts! No printer! Let'S look at this one, the beautiful blonde curls. I might be bleaching my hair very soon. I know i said in my new year's resolutions, video that i was gon na. Do it this year and it might actually be happening soon. The sound that i wanted to use has kind of been out of action a little bit for the past few months, so i haven't been able to do it, but i've just had an exciting opportunity. Come up where i might be able to finally curl my hair so look out for that, because i will definitely vlog the experience. But anyway, let's move on. Let'S look at these beautiful candy gloss curls! Oh my god! It'S a haircut she's like hacking it! What is she, oh, my gosh, but it looks so good. I was panicking it's giving me anxiety, seeing the way that she cut her hair. Just then i'm in shock. I wasn't expecting that. I don't recommend that at home by some kind of miracle that worked, but i can imagine that for a lot of us that wouldn't work and for a lot of us that might just render results that we did not want that we weren't expecting somehow it was Just absolutely perfect we're moving on, because that one was too much for my heart. This video is by a girl called brucia brisha. Maybe it's breisha, i'm so bad. I'M really really bad at names, but we're going to take a look she's doing a defining technique on her, naturally curly hair she's using a brush from kylganix and she says to start on wet hair, not damp hair. Oh my gosh, the definition so she's working on really small sections, but she does say that the brush is full bristle and nylon bristle mix. So i guess that is specifically actually ball. Bristle, like the animal i'm guessing. They don't treat the balls very nicely when they take those bristles like that that fur, i guess, i'd much rather be using nylon bristles, but all that aside, their hair, looks amazing, now she's pretty much just doing the same technique as what you do with a denman Brush so her name is savannah and then it's like rbl. I don't know why. So my whole life i've been brushing through my hair, like this and tick tock is making me realize that i think i actually have curly hair. So i'm gon na wash my hair with these and then i'm only gon na brush my hair in the shower. When i have the conditioner on okay, my hair is soaking wet and i'm gon na put some of this in it. Okay, now i'm scrunching it and kind of drawing it with a t-shirt instead of a towel. Now i'm gon na try and plop it. It'S only been like an hour, but it's giving me a headache. So i'm gon na take it out. Oh, my gosh, so her hair is like perfectly curly. I guess she already knew, because she seems like pretty confident with what she's doing. I'M just like amazed that, like she literally used olive oil like cooking oil, like do you remember those days like you could just go back to the basics and use the olive oil that you have in your kitchen, because i feel like the curly hair community at The moment is kind of doing the most and i'm definitely guilty of it like trying to find like these amazing scientific breakthroughs for the best products, and sometimes we literally just have them in the kitchen. This account is called. I was there biggest mistake was thinking my hair was thick and healthy biggest mistake. I was sorry, i don't want to laugh, but i actually wasn't expecting that i didn't know where she was going to go with that, but that is so true. You really don't know how healthy your ends are with curly hair until you like brush it out and straighten it like this, her hair thins out significantly in, like the last few, it's like a good four inches worth of hair from where i'm looking. I would definitely recommend just cutting it way back to where it's thicker, so i actually learned another way to learn how healthy your ends are, and i learned this from a hair stylist. I was actually working on set with him and at the time my ends weren't healthy and that's why he kind of picked up on it, and he told me so. Basically he was like brushing my hair and obviously curly hair. Like you run into a lot of tangles anyway, but like once he'd run through my hair and he detangled it, he was still finding that once it got to the ends for some reason it was just tough to get through and it was just tugging a little Bit more at the ends, even though all the tangles were out and that's because of damage. That'S because you have like split ends and things and they're a bit straggly, and they they don't go in straight lines. They start just going awkwardly and that just makes it difficult to get a brush through. So if you do find that like, if you find that your ends are just like hard to get through, probably should go for a little trim, so she says she's just gon na simply wash it and ignore it. I mean if it works for you, while your hair is curly and you don't want to lose the length then go for it. Okay next comes from moon azad love, this music with it. I can't wait to see it. I just love it when you call me she's like doing this interesting mix like sometimes she's, using finger, coils and sometimes she's using the denman brush like i'd love, to know the reason behind like when she's, sometimes using finger clothes and which is sometimes using denman brush. But the curls look so nice easy. I'M gon na give her a follow because i actually haven't been following her all this time and that's one of the first videos i think i've ever seen from her. But her curls are on point and she seems to make like really just nice chilled videos. Oh my gosh, my life is ava, so she's just pointing out the difference between her friend's hair and her hair with no product i mean she's like smiling and everything. So i guess she's happy and that's a really good thing. I don't know if it's just like the music behind it, so i won't put the music in it because it'll get copyrighted, but it's like the fireflies sound and somebody's cut out the b of belief. So it just goes i like to leave so i don't know if that's relevant at all, but it's i don't know, i'm getting the vibe that somehow it's kind of like oh bummer, my hair is like frizzy without products, and this isn't, i hope, that's not the Vibe because her hair looks great, and everyone in the comments is being like, so supportive and nice and yeah like we don't need to have products in our hair for it to look good, especially at the beach like. I would definitely recommend having like some leave-in conditioner. Maybe some coconut oil in your hair at the beach. You definitely don't need it and frizzy hair is absolutely beautiful. Okay, lip sherratt's. I'Ve actually spoken about lip shirt before on my channel. I think she makes like a lot of videos on tik tok, so i've definitely seen her a lot, so this video she's saying like before and after when she found out how to start taking care of her curls. Oh my gosh, her curls look so beautiful. It'S interesting because it seems like she was wearing her hair curly even before she got into curl care, because i think for a lot of us, it's kind of like it's. This big thing like we either just weren't having our hair curly at all. Like some people didn't even know, they had curly hair because they've kind of been doing certain techniques, their whole life and just never even realized that their hair was curly. Or it's more like me, and it's like you knew your hair was curly, but you just hated it. So you would do everything to not have it curly. You never ever had it curly, whereas it seems for her that she used to have it curly, but didn't really know about curl care, so she wasn't getting the best results. Her curls just flourished and flowed when she like when she got into curl care. So that's amazing, love that for her love, that for everyone actually - because you know she's out here - making videos for you guys to watch, definitely give those a watch and learn how to make your curls flourish. Everyone. Why are you cutting like that? Girls always look different when they dry. No, we know i mean dry. Cuts are debatable. We'Ve all had this statement that you should cut curly hair when it's dry, because it dries differently to how straight hair does it dries. Some curls are tighter. Some curls are looser and you won't get an accurate picture of how the hair looks until it's dry right. We also know that curly hair never dries the same way twice, so you might cut it when it's dry one day go and wash it style it again and then find that there's all these little like pieces that don't look right and there's short pieces, because it's Just dried differently, so i would rather just cut it when it's wet just make sure it is at least been cut level, while it's straight and then at least it's level at some point, because if you cut it when it's dry, it's almost never going to be Level when you straighten it, it's going to look weird and every time you wash your hair, it's going to look different. So i'm really sorry to say the curl boutique, but i don't agree with you on that one. This is faith chappelle and she's. Doing tips for defined curls, these clothes are defined, they're defined to find so she's spraying she's. I think that's the shea moisture leave-in that she's using and a wet brush is it wet brush the brand rake gel through the hair to create clumps? Oh she's raking the gel through that's very much like an elongation thing. You see how it's like, elongating and kind of like pulling the curls down, see a lot of the time for us curly heads. A lot of us aren't always trying to get like super super definition like that, because it does also mean that you lose a lot of volume, and one of the reasons you lose a lot of volume is one because the curls are clumped together, but also depending On the technique, so the technique that she's used is to rake the gel through the hair like rake it and kind of define it as you're going along and what that does the gel, especially if you're using a strong gel it will kind of keep the hair In place, wherever you put it, so if you are kind of pulling your hair with the gel on it, the gel is going to start doing its magic almost immediately and you're, going to see that your hair stays long and stays kind of twisted and like this And for a lot of us, that means like, if you have a looser cold pattern like me, that can sometimes mean that your hair just looks stringy and like just not ideal. So the way i like to do it is to define my hair use. My demo brush and my finger curls with just leaving conditioner on, and then i just scrunch some gel in because then the gel is going to hold it in the scrunched position. I'M going to hold it in a like a tight curl, rather than a stretched out. Curl like in this video, so that's a great video, but just keep in mind that there's different techniques for what you're aiming for. So if you have a looser curl pattern and you want tighter curls, maybe go for the technique of defining your hair and then scrunching gel in and if you have really tight curls and you want something a bit looser. You could do something like that, where you rake the gel through the hair and it kind of elongates the hair and loosens the curls, and defines them that way. It'S whatever you want to do. You might have a looser, copper and you might want it to be. Even looser and you might have a tighter curl pattern you might want it to be even tighter. So it's all up to you. We'Ve got some curly hair tips from tiger tiger alien tagline we're not even the same person like look at the hair. I'M gon na tell you guys first things: first, is you need to go get a haircut as you can see, my hair was long right, but these little strands right here that was straight was what was dragging my hair down and because it was dragging my hair Down, i wasn't able to fulfill the curls that i'm supposed to have, which are these also. Another mistake that i used to do was the fact that after i wash my hair, i would literally just throw this on and just poof and that's it and just air dry. That'S not! Okay! I am guilty of that. Myself, like there are so many days where i'm just so lazy and i just dump the products on, and i don't really think about where they're going and stuff, whereas on the days where i actually separate my hair and apply it properly, you can definitely notice a Huge difference by the way, guys if you're liking this video so far, i'd really appreciate it. If you could thumbs up, it really helps with the algorithm and all things like that and maybe consider subscribing and turning on your notifications, so that you don't miss my weekly upload this one by leila lee. Okay, so she's cutting her hair, which is only taking a little bit off, i'm already so much happy because she's like at least actually like brushing her hair out, but look at the way it springs back. That'S so cute! Why does it look like she actually cut? A lot off she didn't cut that much off okay, so this one is bella bella and she says five reasons. Your hair won't like reasons why your hair isn't growing honey. You don't oil, your ends, making it hard for you to retain the length you take. Your protective styles out too quickly, you don't deep condition your hair, making your hair more susceptible to breakage. You don't soften your hair before taking down your protective style, she's, not wrong. Your hair won't grow. So you're, not oiling. Your ends story time story time. So i actually started using some oil two oils, specifically one from coco and eve. It'S like the hair, elixir and another one from bumble and bumble, which is like the invisible hairdresser's oil every couple of days, i'll just spray, my hair lightly, with a bit of water and just run that through it the other day, i used the coco and eve One and i was actually going on a date - and i didn't have time to wash my hair, but i wanted my hair to feel soft, so i used that and i put loads of it on my hair and i kid you not for about a week afterwards. My hair felt so soft. My hair felt absolutely luscious, so i actually just need to remember to oil my hair way more often, so. Thank you so much bella lure for the reminder, wait a minute. No, it just needs a little encouragement. Stop playing! Oh my god. It'S like the seven stages of grief like you can see here like in denial, then bargaining, that's so unfortunate. I want to know how this happened. I want to know what she did to get to that i mean i'm going back through her videos. It definitely looks like she straightens her hair a lot in this video she's like sped it up and she's saying it took a whole two minutes for her hair to revert back with the with the water on it and saying. Is that long or short, i'm gon na go in and say that that's pretty long like a whole, two minutes like two minutes, doesn't sound long but actually think about how long two minutes is. It actually took a full two minutes for her hair. To start reverting back and to me that says her hair is struggling like her hair is fighting tooth and nail to try and revert back. That was the reminder. I needed that my hair is not invincible like i was really lucky. I used heat on my hair a few weeks ago. I revert it back. It all came back fine. Now, there's something i really want to look at that. I think it's been pretty big on tik tok and that is the wash now style later. It'S basically when you wash your hair, but you don't really have time to style it right away or you just like, feel exhausted, because it takes so long. So you don't want to start it right away, so you basically just let it dry and then you style it later, like. Maybe you start in the morning and it just kind of breaks up the process of washing and styling. But i just want to see how people are doing it, because whenever i've done it, it's kind of been like a last resort and sometimes i just never bothered to go back and style it. I just kind of washed it and never styled it. So i definitely want to see if there's like a specific way that people are doing it in order to make this work. Oh we're on face. Chappelle again, we already saw one of her videos. I cut my hair. I love her lashes. Actually, i cut. Like short, i might have to also wear so now. I have a much bronzer look, so i'm going to show you how i styled it: okay, so just a little bit of water, so it's wet and then i use one pump of tgi leave-in conditioner. This is my favorite, because it's lightweight, but it also gives like just enough moisture. I usually style my hair with a gel, but i've been using a mousse lately, just because i've been wanting more volume and it gives less of a hold. Sometimes i use a denman, sometimes i don't, but today i am because i just i want tighter curls yeah, the bottom of the barrel baby. Since i'm going for more of a round. Look i'm going to bring all the hair from the crown of my head and bring it forward and then i'm going to take some aunt jackie's oil. This is a nice lightweight oil and i'm just going to scrunch it. Now i'm just taking my pick and really like lifting up and out from the root i go in with a wide tooth comb for even more volume. It'S just it's really good. At lifting the roots, the real challenge is trying to make it perfectly round. Watch this yeah that's pretty much how i've been wearing it. I'M glad i cut it because i've never had my hair like this before so i like it, okay, so one her hair looks absolutely amazing and i'm absolutely obsessed with it and two. She kind of made me want to try out the wash now starlater trend, because not only did it look super easy, it came out looking amazing, but it just looked so chill like she didn't, have soaking wet hair and it just looked easy. She looked comfortable. You know, i think we can all relate to when you're washing your hair and you're, just like so over it, but i am just curious if, like is that good for your hair because, like how much are we not styling our hair like? Are we not diffusing? It we're just letting it air dry. Are we letting it air dry without any leave-in conditioner without any oils, we're just leaving our hair to its own devices? And so we style it yeah, i'm a little bit, hesitant still, okay, guys there you have it! That was me reacting to some curly hair tic tocs.
