What up guys summer's here and so is the humidity here's a super, easy chic updo, that's also humidity proof: let's go so we're using a side part for this one section off the portion of your hair in front of your ears on both sides and secure the Back out of the way, we're going to start to breed one section, adding in hair to the braid as we move down so continue breeding adding in small sections of hair as you go and try not to break tightly, the brand will be small, but we don't Want a microscopic so keep it as loose as possible, and I like to keep a couple of curls out of the braid to help frame my face once there is no more hair to add. Just keep braiding down until you reach the end of the braid. Then give it a twirl with your fingers to secure it in place. Now I just do the same exact thing: on the opposite side, leaving out a small section of curls and braid, it all the way down to the end. Okay. So now we have our two antennas release the rest of your hair. I'M just fluffing it around my crown to try and get that shape at the top as circular as possible, so grabbing one braid. At a time. I bring them around to the back and secure one over the other with a bobby pin. Now I split the hair in the back into three sections, one down the middle and two of the sides, beginning with any side section I twist the entire section of hair from top to bottom tightly, to create one long vertical twist. Then I wrap it over itself into a bun. Then I bobby pin the bun in place using as many pins as necessary, repeat on the opposite side, create one large twist rap into a bun secure in place with bobby pins and now one last time in the back when you're wrapping your buns try to make It so they're all the same size, and you want them to be touching now, I'm just separating my curls fluffing up the top a bit and I'm good to go. I love this style, it's so cute and preppy and, most importantly, easy and the best part you won't have to worry about the humidity. So I hope this helps guys I'll see you in my next one check out. What'S new on my vlog channel and if you like, favorites videos, I've posted my very first one on style by nap 85, my new style channel, you

Ms LP: Whitney, thank you SO much for sharing this style.  You always manage to create such beautiful styles and make it look so easy to do.  You're awesome.  Thanks!

LaRaina7: I tried this style with just 1 bun in the back and it's really cute! Thanks as always!

DrOats22: I love this style, so cute! Can't wait till I'm finished transitioning--I've got a lot of hair now, but it just can never be so full and fluffy and beautifully textured looking until it's all natural.

Yellow: I love this style. It's very pretty and effortless. Thank you for another great video!

Sharee Cammon: Wore this style today! Absolutely loved it :)

gracenk7: You inspired me to go natural. I've been transitioning for ab year now. To be honest, it was really stressful especially since on high school, straight hair is the norm. Nyways, u rly helped me cz i'd just watch a video of ur pretty hair and know that one day, mine will be the same. Keep posting ur videos. God Bless you!

watchforstars: This is def. something I would wear during one of my study sessons for nursing school! Thanks for the idea :)

sumthin008: Love this! So refreshing and creative vs the way too overdone single buns! Yay! Thanks!

Blank13539: :D this style is what ive been waiting for! So perfect for me! Thank youuu

Georgia L.: ahhh i loved this style! cant wait until my hair is long enough to try this

Vixen Bow: Thank you for all your tips, I watched this because it said humidity proof and for the summer months those type of styles are a great plus. Not enough hair for it yet, but I am inspired by your hair because I have been natural for years and didn't take the time to really learn much about my natural hair and taking better care of it the way I see you ladies do on Youtube, i now see growth and health. Thank you.

Chloe Cameron: Just need to say I've officially gotten back to my revised "Whitney" routine. My hair was a tangled dry mess and I decided to go back to the basics when I first started going natural and following your routine. Today's second day hair and its completely moisture i

MszGigglz: this is too cute. thanks for the tutorial :)

MsNatural50: Loved this video! I love styles that only take minutes to prepare.

Meghan McGhee: I love this, going to try it out!

kerducky: GREAT video Whitney! I love the shine of your hair and it is soo thick! I hope you and your family have a great week! Thanks for sharing!

AAHV: I love this hairstyle, it looks cute and easy to do.

Thee Best Lyfe: stunning hair on a stunning young lady!!! can't wait to see more ideas.

deedeesnicks: so cute, so simple... luv it!

Sainabou Saye: kept looking at your nails the whole time! the colour is lush :) lovely tutorial as per usual

Ailene Moseley: Love this style! Very cute. My hair is not as thick but I want to try this

Hairscapades *: I did this same style back in video after seeing a non-natural youtuber (HeyKali) do it. I think it's really cute on natural hair too! I did mine similar to hers with more hair out in the front and my hair was pretty stretched from a braid-out, I think. I have to remember to do this again soon!

Hope Amore: Your hair is absolutely lush! You are so blessed x

Mel O Elle: That's what I do with my hair but do twists instead of braids. It's such an easy style and great to do when your hair isn't falling how you want it or it's looking "blah."

Firstlady_rini: I love all of your videos! I recent big chopped, and you give me so much inspiration :)

Michaela Ratliff: Your hair is like, ridiculously gorgeous!

Eva Elyse: Your hair looks so healthy!

ObedienceOrSacrifice: Gorgeous as always i'm rocking a similar style right now because of the humidity..

Danielle Johnson: Your creativity is unmatched! Really cute style

NappilyCurly: ive bee in transition for 7 months & i watch your videos alot cause i feel like i can identy with you more cause we have the same type of hair, tho everyone hair is different & not completely the same as the next persons. i feel like your channel helps me alot. & i wanna say thank you.

UTubeuzername: Very cute, great job girl!

IHateGravity: This video just confirmed that you're my hair twin!! Love it so excited!

DrOats22: Have you tried twist outs? Those work pretty well for me, most of the time. I do about 20 or so twists on wet and conditioned hair--sometimes I use gel, lately I haven't--and put perm rods on the end of each (well, I guess it's actually a twist and curl). Untwist the next day and, usually, voilà! Hair for 4-7 days!

Fatima Siad: Hey!!! I'm a transitioner as well. I was natural for 2 years but on my anniversary last Christmas I texturized my hair. So we're in the same boat. I only have around one to two inches of new growth, so the going is slow. My overall hair keeps getting cut with my happy go lucky hand so I have around collar bone length apl hair. I'm thinking of cutting my hair when my natural hair gets to bra strap length, I want to get passed the dreaded apl before I go natural. Stylings is hardHows your journey?

Raven Ross: This style is so beautiful! You are definitely inspirational. I'm actually transitioning & I hope that my own hair could reach that length someday. I just posted my very first video & I need a little bit of support. I was wondering if you could check it out for me!!! Thank you love. (-:

Olivia Amanda: Your hair is always fabulous! I wear more twist outs because I'm inspired by you :)

Khadijah Muhammad: Love love love this hairstyle!!

Sierra Mone't: This is so cute sadly I'm still in the TWA stage but that's okay at least all the hair is off my neck and keeping me cool I love your videos so much your such an inspiration! How did you part your hair so easily? My hair gives me a hard time when I try to part it

Malaika Hilson: She never runs out of ideas!!!! I <3 Naptural5

Nunya Raines: Love that new 'do. Thank you very much for your excellent videos.

BeeUtifullyMade: Your hair is GAWGUS Whitney! And your tutorial vids are super helpful! I have many saved as favs to my channel! Much love to you and your beautiful fam!

D O: Very pretty! I think the unfinished style at around 2:00 looked best

DrOats22: You'll get there! What have you been doing for styling? My journey's been going well, actually. July 6 I'll be 1 year, and I'm so excited! I do pretty simple styles, and do the curly girl method (no sulfates, no silicones, no combs, lots of conditioner, alcohol free gel). Curl Formers and bantu knots are my go-to styles. I'm gonna have to start experimenting with different styling products soon though, which is a little daunting

lxscrmr: OMG I LOVE THIS!!! keep up the videos!

buzzer270: Thanks nap. Been waiting for this. But not today. My hair stretched from curl formers sooo ill bedding the best twist out ever :)

NinaRoseTreasures: Beautiful locks! TFS

cheryl scott: I love watching your videos on all three channels, keep up the good work.

Alecia Brooks: As my natural hair grows I think about what length I'd feel comfortable at and how long it'll get. My hair is and has always been thick. I dream of having a mane like yourself and still have the patience to keep it looking nice! Lol

Angel A: all I can say is that is a lot of hair, beautiful as always :)

Marolin: Love your updo's!

Rondaa1: Now that's what I call simple:-) thanks for the vid.

mimi428: Can't wait for my hair to get to this length

FakeBleedingTears: At 2:00 it's already a super cute look. I would totally wear my hair like that if a) it were long enough already and b) if the weather was much cooler.

Jessica S: Pretty! I even liked it with just the two braids and the hair down, very hippie chic! :)

Shirlzzzz: really cute and different!! thanx so much for sharing!!! <3

Libby just libby: i wore my hair like this today lots of "love it"

Red seouls: Very lovely!❤

rainbowxthunder: o.O whitney this is so cute! you're so on point, much love for all the awesome videos! :D

YoutubeLurker: agreed. I get that question asked all the time. Someone even said "I can't wait to see what your hair will look like straight". I never plan or will straighten my hair. If someone wants to see my length, I will gladly pull the hair down, but wearing it straight just isn't in the cards and never will be.

PRIME Gospel: For those that want to see her hair straight, go to her hair journey video. Yes, it was "relaxed" but it would basically look the same except a bit shorter. Go head do you own thang Whitney!

Naty: i love this, i'm always looking for humidity proof hairstyles as i'm from the Caribbean

Yolanda Tarice Watson: I am so jealous of your hair LOL!! gorgeous hair, you are gorgeous and your family is gorgeous :-)

Chelsea Tiara: Just so you know Whit I think it is great that you haven't straightened/used heat on your hair! You have proved that it is not necessary for looking professional, trimming, protecting your ends, etc. Though I am not against straightening natural hair and have straightened my own I'm happy that it is not something that is necessary to have healthy, beautiful hair.

kawsydaisy: Yay thanks for the style idea!

Wannella Lawson: Cute hairstyle as always.

carlysu: Thanks for the compliment. If the sister wants her hair to remain in its natural state, leave her be. Obviously, she has no desire to succumb to other people obsessions with straight long hair. She was once enslaved to chemical straightening and she is now free of it. If you and others really want to know the true length, just imagine. It is down to the middle of her back. Flat ironing can damage the hair, so why risk it? I say to Whitney--do not bow down to pressure. No heat means No heat.

Lori R: That's a very nice hair style!!

Ester Hunter: Your hair is so beautiful. I'm sure you've heard it a hundred times. I love the close ups you do of your hair. I'm going over to look at some of your other vids cos I'd like to know what hair type you are? I'm just curious. Hopefully when my hair grows out more I'll be able to attempt this style.

Keziah Mccoy: I would love to see you straighten your hair just once! Love the hair

BlondeCbella: I have a style I want you to try! A twist out(6-8 flat twist ) on day old hair with Shea butter and water... and add WHITE perm rods to the ends to give them that corkscrew affect... and wahlah! Beautiful curls

potterylady1: Very cute style!!!

MayHen: Im trying to grow my hair that long!!

versella love: Wow!!! Nice hair style :) keep the videos coming I watch you on all your Chanel's !!!

Blonde J-hope got me jungshook and infired: Beautiful as always... How on earth do you get your hair to behave so well? You parted your hair without a fight. How is that possible?

Amazing Brown: I would live to see your hair flat ironed but I love you curly hair!!!:)

Janille Browne: You are amazing I have no idea how you deal with all that hair! I've been transititiong for 8 months now and I don't want to get a relaxer but I'm questioning if I can deal w/ my natural hair or not

Ana Russo: Wow, your curls look so defined! What didi you do to look them like that?

Queen Bosston: your hair is amazing!!!! very gorgeous Sister!!!!

Naytastiic: Tried this style. I looked so cute lol

starrdust411: I don't know if my hair has the length or volume for this style, but I'd like to try a version of this since summer here can be pretty rough.

Lime22: very easy style. thanks.

Susie Dean: Did it today ! Nice n cool style.....

nappilyevaafta: So pretty!

psychd: ooh! this is a cute princess leia do for naturalistas! i love it!

Brandi Parker: So beautiful.

AlyshaaB: I can imagine how long ur hair will be if u flat ironed it , u will look so pretty !

hey1111112222222: i luv this style, It's cute. might try it.

Charae LaQuenta Ratliff: Beautiful!!!

Taré Bless: That is such a cute style whit!

almondyJoy: Seriously, it should be a crime to have hair that thick and beautiful. My goodness!

nonomi: I think they just want to see how long her hair really is, and its easier to tell straightened. In any case, my answer would be, "long enough!" I LOVE her curly hair! <3

Theres Tops: Thank you for this!

canuckgirl416: I don't have the same length of hair as you, but I can modify it for my length. I may use two buns instead of three. Thanks for sharing! :)

3XsthaLady: Saw you posted a new vid on FB and came right over!!! Super cute

mschris014: Nice! Reminiscent of the 1920s. Love it.
