Hey guys, if you're wondering what the purring is in the background, I don't know if you can hear it or not, but my cat is here. He follows me everywhere and purrs very loudly. I think he's gone to sleep now, though I don't know if you can tell from my sweaty face or tank top, but it is hot outside and for me, the summer really just means one thing: frizzy hair, you guys with curly hair, probably understand what I'm talking About as soon as it starts getting a little humid or warm outside your hair just looks like a poodle with an afro or something much worse. Why I like this updo is because it smooths out any frizz that I have and it also kind of tucks away. My curls, as you can see in this side, bun so that, even if my curls aren't looking so great when I'm doing my hair, this can kind of hide both the curls and the frizz. This hairstyle is a lifesaver for me. I have to wear my hair up for work and on days when I look in the mirror and just think, oh, my gosh, I cannot go out in public with my hair like this. I can just put it into this, and everything is fine. This hairstyle is super easy and super quick. All you need are a few bobby pins, a little clip, maybe some styling cream, whatever you use on your hair, normally will be perfect and okay. So I just finished work and my hair is in this frizzy ponytail. I'M just gon na pull it out. As you can see, the tops been really flattened by the ponytail. The bottom is kind of frizzy and crinkly, not looking so good. What I'm gon na do is dampen my hands with a little bit of water just to smooth away a bit of the frizz, so run the water through the top part of your hair. The part you see if you pulled it back now, I'm going to take my gosh curl cream just a little bit of it, rub it into my hands and smooth it through my hair, concentrating on the top part where there's the most frizz just trying to smooth Down the flyaways so make sure your hair is parted correctly and then just grab the back section of your hair, and you want to twist it into a little pouf at the back of your head may. Take a couple tries just to get it smooth and perfect and secure it with some bobby pins. I'M gon na take the front little section of my hair and pull it back off my face, so I can see what I'm doing at the side and don't worry. I'M not leaving it like this okay. So now, I'm gon na take a little piece from the side, just start with a small chunk and start twisting it back behind your head and, as you twist around, grab more pieces and add them into the twist kind of like a French braid except you're twisting. So you can see I'm grabbing a few more pieces just a little bit at a time and adding them to the twist, as I twist around my head and you reach the other side of your head, just stop and secure it with a little clip to hold It in place, okay, now do the exact same thing with the other side, since you already twisted the first side over so far, you're not gon na have to go as far with this one plus, you won't have as much hair, so put it into a twist And then put it over top of the first twist, so it overlaps it in a cross and secure it with bobby pins. So there's the cross see how it overlaps. The first twist now grab your big poofy section of curls that was left over from the first twist and give it a good twist just about it's secure. When you take your clip out, you don't want it to fall out or anything keep twisting it making sure. It'S really secure and tight, and what we're gon na do is put it into a, but you can make this as tight or as loose as you want. I like to do it so that the curls end up at the bottom of the bun now secure it with bobby pins. This may take a lot of bobby pins depending on how thick and curly and heavy your hair is now what you can do. If you have a little end piece left over from the second twist that you talked back, you can just place it underneath your bun with the rest of the curls and bobby, pin it into place. Okay, so now to fix the top part just twist. It back. Just like the other ones and bobby pin it over top of that first twist now, if you notice your first twist has become a little loosened or it's falling out a little bit, which sometimes happens to me. When I do this hairstyle, you can just get some bobby pins and tuck it back kind of twist it around with your fingers again just to tighten it a little bit. So it's not sticking out okay! So now I'm going to take my hairspray and I'm gon na use it to smooth out any frizz. That'S left over! So just braids in areas where you see there are quite a few flyaways or a lot of frizz and smooth it back with your fingertips. Love to hear from you - and I hope you have an amazing day -
