Curly Hair Updo Inspired French Roll - Hair Tutorial - Tasha Arnall

Since I had such a great response to my last curly hair undo hair tutorial, I wanted to make another one, but this time using a french twist as inspiration. Usually a french twist is done with straight semi-straight hair for a neat, elegant look. However, if you're like me and have naturally curly hair, you don't have to straighten your hair before doing a french twist! Embrace your curls with this curly hair undo!

This look builds upon my basic curly hair look, which you can see how to do here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8Y0kl-...

To pull this off you'll need some hair clips, bobby pins and some hair spray to hold the hair in place.

Hi guys I'm Tasha from bloom hair thanks for tuning in so first of all, I want to apologize for not doing a video like all summer so like for a couple months now. I don't really have an excuse. I think I've just been caught up in summer, but here I am now and I'm gon na have a new video here for you guys today, I'm going to work on my own curly hair and we're going to do a French twist or a French rule of Some sort, okay, so let's get started well, first thing: if you want to see how I style my hair, like this curly I'll, put the link in the description and you can watch it if you like, otherwise, so we're gon na get started. So I'm just gon na take the hair, I'm in front of my ear, ish just clip it away, so we'll work with it later same on the other side. Jawline cut this hair away, alright, its first gon na take my workable hairspray and just spray. This whole back section, hey, seems about good okay, so now we're gon na take some bobby pins and what we're gon na do with this hair is we're gon na slide it over to the side like this and pin it a little bit past Center? Okay, so we're not going to put the bobby pins right in the middle, we're gon na put it past the middle and we're just going to put them vertically so, depending on your hair and how thick it is and how long it is. You can decide how many bobby pins you need for it to feel secure. Okay, so that's the first step done. Okay! So now we've pinned this hair over to this side with our vertical pins going here, and now I'm going to take all this hair from this side and trying to make it look like a twist okay. So you want to fold it never round like this and make it look like a twist all right. So once you're happy with your twist here, you're going to pick a side and then add some hair in from the side and just pin it wherever you see fit and the same from the other side. Except from this side I mean you could drag this hair over here and get a different look, but I'm gon na kind of stay with this twist French twist kind of look. So I'm gon na pin this hair right here right or there twist and and then just gon na. I don't have very much hair to hide, but I'm just gon na tuck this hair and hide it. So now you just want to make sure that there's no little pieces that don't fool go with this flow here you wan na make sure everything's going. You know this direction, so I'm just gon na spray it and make sure everything's flowing over there and same with this side make sure there's no big pieces hanging out all right. So once you work with the back, then you just want to make sure that the front is to your liking. So I have some short pieces here and I'm just gon na kind of leave, let down and stay like that. But for the most part you have all this hair on the side going in this direction. So here's the finished look and I hope I've inspired you guys to work with your own natural curl, because it's awesome um. It always surprises me. How often you can take a traditional hairstyle like a French twist and you can play with it with your own natural curl uh still get a really great look out of it, so I hope you guys have fun with it.
