Greek Goddess Curly Braided Updo || Hair Tutorial For A Gold Evening Dress

Okay, so today I will be showing you guys how I did this hair, it's kind of Grecian inspired, I'm wearing this in LR a dress for a wedding that I'm going for going for going to it's actually really really nice and like luxurious, and I was really Inspired to do a kind of Grecian up too, and I kind of like I was nervous about it because last time I decided to do my hair for a wedding. It didn't turn out all that great, so yeah. I managed to do this one and I'm real proud, so I'm going to show you guys how I did it just in case you guys are wondering I have. I have two voiceover in this video, even though some of you guys don't like voiceovers, because otherwise the video would be way too long, and also because I had lots of filming issues, because I have to see the back all the time. So I actually flipped out my vlogging camera as well, so that you guys could see what I was actually doing in the other room. So yeah hope you guys manage to follow through the video, and that's so very first thing that you need to know is we need to work with your filter here as dirty as it gets we're going to straighten that hair a little bit, so it makes it Easier to work with and you're going to apply a ton of baby powder to add to the volume and also you know, add some some oomph up in there now. Baby powder works for me because I am blonde. However, if you are a brunette and that doesn't quite work for you use dry shampoo, that should work as well. So then, here I'm going to use this Wella flix hairspray and I'm using a teasing comb and I'm teasing the back side of my hair in layers. I'M just taking a layer, I'm back combing and I'm sitting that layer down so first I'm spraying so that it holds into the care. Now. These are my hair extensions from irresistible me, I'm first going to brush through them with my wet brush, which is my favorite kind of brush, and then I'm slowly going to straighten them a little bit with my GSG straightener, so that they are more easy to work With I find straight, hair works better as a base for curly hair. It'S a little bit weird, but I find it way better. So I rather just straighten it out a little bit because I had watch these and deities and they look quite as nice as I wanted them to so I rather just straighten them out. It makes it easier to work with, so I don't know why I went away from for a second. Where are you? Do I not come back, come back okay, so this is what we're going to do. We'Re going to overlap by the way, don't mind the nails. I actually took them off because it was very easier to work with so we're going to overlap the hair extensions and then clip them up. So let me just show you guys again, because the camera seemed out of focus so see that bit so we're going to overlap and then see that clip. Give it two seconds see that clip right there you clip it in there, then you're going to wrap some more and as soon as the clip touches the hair you're going to clip it back in and now, as I was saying, the nails look, Elizabeth watch it Because I took them off because I was flying to or some new ones anyway and I I guess it was easier to work with this way. So that's all I'm doing here so that it makes it easier so right under the last teasing section that I took. I'M going to hook this underneath the hair make sure that it's nice and firm otherwise is going to hurt so much for today, because it's going to pull out a section of your hair so make sure that it's gunked-up on a good amount of product, see that That back combing the Beehive right there. We need to soften that out in a second. So we'll do that. So then, we're going to take sections from the side and we're going to tease those sections as well, because it's going to help add some volume and make it look more voluminous and stuff, and then I'm going to leave some strands now notice. What Sterne's am i doing so we're going to flip up the ponytail, but right ahead, we're going to make sure that we leave enough hair in front going to leave enough hair on the front to actually do braids. You will see right at the ends is going to make sense and we need to make sure that we have enough for the curly hairs and stuff like that on the overlapping braids for later okay, so you need to leave some hair along now, I'm going to Wrap the front bits that I need to save up for later and I'm going to wrap my hair in a ponytail kind of folding opponent. It was pretty easy. It'S okay! If there are bumps showing and stuff like that - and it's not so perfect, because we are going to make it more perfect and stuff, then I used a teasing comb. The back of that teasing comb to lift the hair and the right here, I'm inserting the donut hair bun. It'S really easy to do, even though he can't see what I'm doing we're going to use hair pins, not bobby pins, hair pins for this bit notice. How I took the the background away because I couldn't see what I was doing and you guys couldn't see what I was doing either so here I'm using this irresistible me. This is the ATM one sapphire style egg and what I did. What I'm doing here is I'm taking very, very tiny sections of the hair, I'm wrapping it around the hair curler and I'm using those hair pins that I showed you guys earlier throughout them in my head to wrap every single piece of hair strategically around the donut Hair bun, we have intentions to hide the donut hair bun as well as add the core on the hair. Now, because I have hair extensions in the hair is going to add so much more volume, vloggy camera right here I told you guys that I couldn't continue filming in my makeup room, because I couldn't see what I was doing, and this is very important to work With a mirror that you can actually work with so yeah, as you guys can see, I'm wrapping the hair now this bit is a piece of my hair extension, as you guys can see. There'S just so much hair see that's what gave me the lengthy kind of curls and the very very sky really cares. The reason why I decided to work with this kind of hair, the hair curler is because it's way easier. I find this way. So again I went to dumb bit by bit and then I would clip with the longer hair with clip the first bit and then I slipped the second bit and sometimes I believe it loose. I use the mirror to see what I was doing at the back. So that the box didn't live all righteous and stuff, so that's pretty much all I did. I just made sure that I strategically put each one in a way that made the hair look a little bit prettier, so we're working on the back side. Only - and this is pretty much like a progress kind of thing see like I had so much hair extensions right there and then, when I was run it it did, look pretty fine, so the back bit that you could see earlier on it did. I did care this all, but you guys could see a quick progress right there now we're working on the braids that I mentioned earlier, so we're going to braid the hair quite loosely and we're going to pull the hair at the back so that it doesn't give You like a weird twist at the very front and then we're going to braid the hair, a simple braid like a three layer, braid or whatever, as they call it and then hook it back in. I did loosen the braid up a little bit and I did have to redo it a little bit just to make sure that it looks just the right kind of braid. I guess, and then I did hook it in with some hair pins and I did try to hide the rest by actually like the rest of the hair. I actually Carol that as well, and I use enough hair pins to make sure that it's actually hooked in right. So that's what going to give you the kind of hair curly hair? Look I'm pretty sure that by now you get the gist see. I made sure that I didn't have any too long of a curl showing, even if I had like one or two random ones, but I didn't want it to look like my hair was falling apart. If you get what I mean so, then I did the same on the other side of my hair, see braid it and then stuck it to this side, curl the ends and made sure that the curls are looking nice and fine. By the way, this curler is amazing to work with. I really really like this, and I really really like how voluminous the hair extensions made my hair, I highly recommend both of the products I love them. I can't wait to do another hairstyle like this. I'Ve. Never ever done anything like it, so if you guys are actually like really scared about doing something like this honestly, if I did it and I want can do it, I realized I could hair doing it like doing hair stuff. So then I started braiding my hair, because I want you to do a kind of hair brand with my braids now see how about was struggling right there, but it's okay. I did manage anyway we're going to do a simple braid. As I said, simple braid, simple braid - I fast-forwarded this period because it's other was going to be too too much, so I did make sure it's a little bit tight, so it wasn't much of a loose braid, even though later on, I did kind of work around With it a little bit, and then I placed it underneath the first braid that we did, because otherwise I would have higher, I would have hidden the detail now bear in mind that I didn't see any hair tutorial doing this. So I kind of watched like lots of hair tutorials, and then I did my own thing, so you kind of go as it. However, you like your hair to look so this is very improvised, but I feel like as a as a hair tutorial now see see the braid like on top of the hair and everything. So I'm going to do the same thing over here and I'm going to wrap the braided stuff right underneath now, because my hair is relatively long. I mean it's not very very long, but it's like it's it's long. I actually use my real hair for this bit, but if you don't have long hairs, you can use bits out of your hair extensions like a two piece of hair extensions and you can attach them in your hair. However, this was actually a three hair wefts from irresistible me and I my hair was long anyway, so I just needed the volume, so I rather just use the three hair waves for what I wanted so because I'm a fringe person, I curled my fringe a little Bit - and I did leave it loose then later on, I did kind of sick to certain stuff by the way I'm not going to apologize for the mess. In the background, that's pretty neat for me. You guys have no idea how a messy I am. You guys have no idea, but anyway, we've moved into a smaller apartment, so it's not like. I could work with a tighter, like a better background, so this is all I have to work with. This is our main bedroom at the moment. So yeah then see what I'm doing right here, I'm seeing if I actually like it and I'm changing it up and like I'm, making sure that all of the hair is secure by adding more hair pins. I ended up with like 100 hair pins in my hair. I'M not even kidding, I think it was probably like 95, because I did have some lift and it was a hundred pack so yeah. This is how it looks like at the back. Just in case, you guys are wondering it looks pretty dope, and I really like look up this. I did make some adjustments like the fringe bit and then I finished off with the Wella hairspray. That'S really much it. It'S not very complicated, even though it looks like it's complicated, but if I did it, you guys can do it. I believe in you look look how gorgeous this is. Look how gorgeous. I was so proud at this point, because last time I tried to do this. I messed up big time so yeah, oh and then I did these jewels as well, because why not? I actually bought these the day before and they were like 1 euro each can get them for way cheaper of eBay, I'll link, you guys in the downbar your going to buy them by the most eBay by the my head, because I actually had some on the Way but they didn't arrive, so I know it's a stuff like fiber in my hair, so that's pretty much it. This is the finished. Look. I really really really like the way it turned out some real proud of myself. I'M just saying - and I have like a hundred bobby pins in my hair - not bobby pins.
