Coi Leray Braids, But I Got Carried Away

Wash your face, okay! So before I do any braiding, I'm going to be giving myself a slight Trend, maybe doing that after I pre-part my hair, which I think is very important for doing any sort of braids for the longest. I did not pre-part my hair. The last time I braided my hair, I pre-parted it and just made the process way easier, so I'm going to pre-part it and then once I have my sections, I'm going to trim my hair as I move through each section that way, it'll make it easier. I just want to get rid of my scraggly ends before I braid there's going to be no more than about 10 11 pushing 12 braids. I think last time I did this. It was about 11 braids. If you go even bigger, you'll get like 10 braids, but it all depends on your parting and everything. So these are like cordless Ray inspired, so The Parting for these are straightforward. It'S pretty easy, I'm just going to start with a part straight down the middle of my head. So for the first part I want it to meet the top of my ears, so I hope y'all can see that the thing about pre-parting is Parts. Don'T have to be perfect, you really just want to get your parts out of the way so that when you go back to the section later, if it's messy, you can always clean it up, but the biggest thing is just getting the parting out of the way. Just so that you can move through your hair, quicker you'll see. I came more than prepared this time. I got the clips. I got all the damn hair products. I got the rubber bands, even though they're, not the black ones, they're the clear ones, but these are like a brand sent me these. They don't snap when you stretch them too far. You know like when you be putting these at the end of your hair and they snap and you like, damn I got ta put another one, not these like look at these look at these so yeah. These are the rules. So here are the parts on one side, as you can see, they're just like medium satisfaction, so what's convenient about this is I can just take out the rubber band for each section and then just trim my hair, like that foreign, this long. So what I did was I added some of uh like the little beach wave pieces Midway through and initially I was going to take some perm rods and curl these to make the curls tighter, but I'm kind of feeling these. It'S not really what I was going for, but at this point I'm just going with the phone. Unfortunately, it's been so long since I've done something fancy it's my hair. I do want these to be long regardless, so I'm gon na go ahead and show you how I got to here, so I'm taking some of this Jam. This is the extra hold. This makes a huge difference for me, so once I get to my ends, I just calm them out and that already feels so much better I'll. Take the other here go ahead and add that in there too, so I'm on my last two. This is what I have so far, so I didn't braid them all to the same length just because I wanted to add my own little style too. So it is one two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight nine! So now I have two left so 11 braids in total. Just like I said it's Sunrise now I started these. When did I start these bro like I want to say, I started these at like five o'clock in the morning and it is almost 8 00 a.m. Don'T ask me how or why I'm awake all right, so yeah, I'm gon na show you all these final two, my hair is a little bit thicker at the top, so I likely will not use much braiding here. It'S the same thing before I'm just going to comb through my ends, really quick and I can kind of feel where the comb is getting snagged here. Let me see yeah so, like I mentioned, this section is pretty thick, so I'm just going to start. The braid like I normally would, but I'm not going to add any braiding hair. At least none of this straight here, I'm gon na, add a little curly piece House, Flowers that feeling, when you make it to the last braid. Actually it makes feelings right now, like I'm deadbeat tired, but I'm also really excited like I feel like I got. Ta go out somewhere. I don't even recognize myself. So let me back up and show you guys a little bit more. So what I was saying about having them longer is. I can have more fun with these, so I could probably do a little half up half down, maybe not right now, because they're like I literally just, do these and they're kind of tight in the front but like in a couple of days for sure I'm gon Na take some of this tropical Roots foam, it's a moisturizing, sculpting foam. It adds a lot of shine, it's perfect for braids and twists and here's what it looks like so I've had this, for I mean a year at this point. This is probably one of my favorite phones, I actually I'm a moose person. I do like to use Foams and mousses, and this is definitely one of my favorites at least for protective styling. So what I like to do is take a very, very generous amount, and this technique is also what I do to kind of freshen up my braids in the morning or to kind of keep them looking crisp. And then next I'm going to go in with this tension, really braid Sheen try not to use too much of this, though it'll read like green chunks in your hair, but it does work very well, at least my hair, very nourished and shiny. So now what I like to do is take a do-rag. My favorite durag y'all are always asking me where I get this duag from and it is the toe for a do-rag, telfar Topher. I don't know what the hell I said the first time, but I just tie it really tight. This is typically how I'll style my braids, I mean it's pretty stylish do-rag, but it also keeps my braids from like rubbing up and touching a lot of different Fabrics. They last long now, I'm gon na just let this sit for a little bit and I'm gon na take it off in about five minutes. Typically, I leave it on longer the longer the better, but since these are freshly done, it's not gon na make much of a difference. On the first day, I may add a couple hair Jewels, but I like to wait a couple days after I've had the braids to do all of that, but, as you can see, as expected, no flyaways at a super shiny anyways.
