Thank you so much for spending time with me and watching this video!

XO,

Milabu

Hello, my lovelies, I hope, you're all doing really great. Today. I want to share with you guys how you can create different types of curls, using only one curling iron and the reason why I want to stick with the curling iron instead of a wand or a flat iron. I think this one is the most versatile, so I think this one is really beginner friendly. If you've had a lot of experience is very friendly also, so I think it's really great and this one that I'm using today is by Kristen s. This is a 1 inch. You can use many different ones, but this one, I think, is going to be a great tool to demonstrate on so, let's begin with the first curl, so how I want to demonstrate this, I'm going to show you one by one. I don't want to style the entire head just because that's a lot of heat on my hair, all at once, so I'm gon na show you guys just the one strand and just compare them side to side. I hope that makes sense and I think they'll be a really great visual aspect for the video as well. So the first curl is a flat wrap curl, it's literally in the name. You want to make sure the section of hair is laying nice and flat around the barrel. You see how I'm twisting it. We don't want that one lay as flat as possible, and this will just give you a beautiful definition. It gives you a lot of volume, so if you do use a bigger barrel than this or you take bigger sections is just gon na give you those really beautiful, loose curls stunning, very voluminous. Again, if you do take a smaller barrel, you'll have smaller curls a little bit tighter. It depends on how big the section you grab all right, so I'm gon na show you on my left side. Let'S just grab this section right here now, I'm not grabbing anything too big. It'S a good like inch half an inch to an inch, and so I'm gon na take the barrel. It'S heated to 365 Fahrenheit, I'm gon na open up the barrel with the clip and I'm gon na, take the hair and start wrapping it. You can actually go down. Let'S go down now making sure the hair is laying nice and flat as you can see, and then I'm going to leave a good two inch out. You can close the clip to kind of hold the hair in. I was going to keep it open just because it's easier for me hold for 10 to 15 seconds, depending the section of your hair, and let go you see it just gives you a nice loose curl. It still looks like you put on a barrel or a wand, but it still is very beautiful and then your entire head, when you do have a curl like this, it's just stunning, it's a very timeless, I would say, and it's just a beautiful curl. In my opinion, so this next curl I like to call the twisted or the spiral curl. So this one is where you take a section of hair and you literally twist it before you go around the barrel. This one is really pretty, and this one gives just the very natural type of curl. I'M just gon na grab a section for this next curl give it a couple of twists just one or two, and I am going to use the curling iron as a wand. So it kind of makes it easier in you, I'm just gon na start grabbing it, and this is just I'm just gon na start. Wrapping around the hair see it's nice and twisted. You can twist it away. You can twist it towards just kind of give it that nice twist around the barrel, and this will give a nice natural type of curl. I just think this one is really pretty and especially if you alternate the curls over such a pretty hairstyle when I brushed out just look at that, just gives a nice natural Bend a nice natural curl to the hair. You can take very thin sections to create really tighter spiral, curls and just breaking up the curl. You see how it's giving you different directions because you were twisting it it just it just looks so pretty. I don't know why. I love that curl and just keep twisting it it. Just it's really nice. I love this curl all right, so this next curl is going to be the old Hollywood curl and I'm taking a smaller section, but you guys will still be able to see the difference. So usually, with the old Hollywood or those really classic, big curls they're usually going towards your face instead of a weight. So this one, I think, is really pretty winning ticket towards the face. It'S very romantic. Okay. So what I'm gon na do I'm gon na take the hair and I'm gon na wrap it, but I'm also kind of giving it a little bit of a twist. You see I'm doing that and I'm gon na take it inside. I'M take the clip and clip it on I'm gon na hold it there. So you see how it's nice and flat right here and then giving a lie still twist bring the curl back up and I'm gon na take one of these little hair clips. I'M just gon na clip the hair to my head and let it sit there all right, I'm gon na. Let us sit then we're gon na move on to this side of the head. So I can show you the rest of the curls. This one is kind of like that: beachy curl, but you're using the clip on the curling iron. So you take a nice little section and I'm going to go up with the barrel and settle down and I'm gon na. Take it clip it, but not clip all the way, wrap it around. You see how it's going flat hold it there for a couple of seconds and then what I'm gon na do I'm gon na let go of the clip a little bit and just kind of give it a little twist and then wrap the rest of this hair. So you see it's giving it a nice twist, but it's still laying on the barrel give it another twist another twist and just bring it down the hair. You see that this is beautiful when the entire head is done. It just takes a little bit more work and effort when you're just wrapping the hair flat around the barrel, just because it is a little bit less time. The sections are a lot bigger, but this right here is just stunning and you're, just making sure to keeping the barrel nice and straight along your hair and kind of wrap it and down as you go, they give just a nice long, beachy, wave, beautiful hair. This is one of my favorites. Alright, I'm going to take this curl out it's nice and set, so you see how it's nice and voluminous at the top, and then it's nice and curly. So what you do is just give this a nice little brush and then usually the rest of the hair kind of follows and then once it's all brushed together, it's just a very soft and effortless and it's just the way falls out. It'S beautiful all right. So this next curl this one is the curl that I learned pretty much when I was probably a teenager. This is that very old school curl and you start taking the curling iron from the bottom and you wrap it all the way up. This is a very old-school type of girl, it's not my favorite, but it still does work for a lot of different hairstyles. So basically, what you do is you wrap it towards the bottom and then just take the hair and you wrap it up the barrel and I'm doing it towards my face again. So this is another rendition of how you can get those really beautiful Hollywood curls. You can also pin the curl up to let us set and cool. I just want to show you guys what it looks like when you do it this way and, of course you can always go away from your face. We basically do underneath and you wrap it up instead of up and under everybody, remember this curl: how can you not yeah? This is not my favorite type of curl, but it does have its place in the hairstyle world, but you see the difference. This one is that type of ringlets curl when you see the comparing to that, you could still lay it flat, but this one is a little bit more defined. It'S a little bit more wearable in an everyday basis where this one it looks like your doll. Has this type of curl - and this is what I wished for when I was like 5 6 years old? This is my hair - would look like it's yeah, it's a good down memory lane so which curl is your favorite, so starting off? First, you have the old Hollywood, you have beautiful volume and definition towards the top, and then it's just like a ringlets type of curl towards the bottom. This curl is beautiful, and then you have this one, where you have a lot of definition that goes around the barrel and it's still a little bit type of somewhat loose. And then you have the most natural one where it's a little bit curly and then it just kind of falls nice and loose towards the bottom, it's beautiful when it's the entire head, and then you have this right here. The nice beachy tight curls, which I think is stunning - you have a lot definition all the way down to the bottom of your hair, and then you have the doll like curl, where it's not the most, in my opinion, for me, is that the most wearable for It every day because it's it's the most separated type of curl and it's just as a look as real or as natural. So let me know down below which one was your favorite. I hope you guys enjoy this video again. You know curling iron and they're. Just so versatile, if you are a beginner, I think a lot of these you will really enjoy and get a hang of. If you don't know how to use it practice when it's cold, so you can make sure you got your wrist movement down. You know where which way to move with your section of hair away from your face towards your face practice, all those movements, but for now you guys thank you for watching spending time with me and this gorgeous hairstyle and I'll see you in the next one bye. You

Erica Shawn: TBH- I’m usually terrible at styling my own hair, but your videos have really helped me! Also, you have such an awesome personality. This video was awesome! I loved seeing the different styles of curls side by side. The beachy curls are my fave!

Jessika Graley: I love a beachy curl but I always end up with old school doll curls lol

K Chaudhry: This video is really helpful! Seeing the techniques one after another and the results clears things up. I gotta practice doing a curl the exact same way all around my head haha.

bonk bonk: hey, I just wanted to thank you for this. I know it may not seem like a big deal to most, but I've always self-confidence issues and have been afraid to try to do anything for fear of failing. I'm in my junior year of high school and I am so far behind everyone else when it comes to everything beauty, but things like this have been really helpful for me. thanks again <3

Laura Schneider: Great, awesome tutorial! Love the side-by-side comparison. I liked the first curl best and will try the “Old Hollywood” except curled away from my face.

Kendall Pedersen: Those are all so cute! My go to is actually a mix. I use my one inch on pre semi-flat ironed hair. Then I usually curl a few pieces (not every single layer) using different styles and goin in different directions. Then you use your finger or a brush to kinda toss them together. It looks natural, but very pretty. And is wonderful on short hair.

Kellye Ishmael: I need a whole video about curl number 4 please. It's amazing!

dbalta915: Thank you!!! Ready to start curling my daughter’s hair! Will avoid the Ol school one lol

Sage Grey: I know this is a curling iron video, but I would love Love LOVE to see a video on how to keep your hair from getting frizzy when you curl with a flatiron! Or what products you use to tame the frizz! :)

L Vong: Holy crap this was so helpful! I wanna try these out now thank you

Jo.K.: I hope I can figure out how to make the second curl you made, when my hair is long enough...many months from now. I'm re-watching a bunch of your old videos because I lost patience with my uneven hair and had it cut into a short bob, again.

Sony Wilson: Wow! I am so thankful for this video! This is extremely useful!!!

Purple Nonsense: my highschool years were about me trying to explain beachy waves to various hairdressers, i ended up with doll curls every. single. time.

Kathy Doran: Beach like curl my favorite, I'm old and a former hairdresser and would love to have the patience to do my whole head in the beachy curls, I'm impatient and end up doing old school curls and occasionally hot rollers. I really enjoy watching your channel.

doodleartlover: This video was very helpful to me...thank you! ✌️

IK's Nation: Loved the last curl ♥

JJ Babbles: Me: "YOU'RE A WIZARD HARRY!?" I LOVE your tutorials so much & this video is awesome.. But (& this is all on me) I still couldn't understand how on earth you got 3 of the curls to look SO different! You're such a pro! I understood the retro pinned curl & the one where you twist the hair first.. But I'm lost on the others. I rewatched a few times & I'm like "What am I missing?! Oh.. She just has magical powers & I'm the village idiot" lol I'm certainly not criticising your video - I'm being critical of my inability to learn curling techniques because you make it look so easy & you're great at explaining things step-by-step. That's why I come back to your channel so often :) I shall keep watching & practicing!
