Viral Boho Braids On Natural Hair. Boho Braids On 3B Curly Hair. No Extension

Hello everyonee welcome or welcome back to my youtube channel! Todays video is a tutorial on the goddess braids on natural hair. This hairstyle had gone viral on TikTok and inspired by all the ladies doing them on their hair i decided to do it on mine. Ofcourse I start on freshly washed clean hair and then I use the LOC method to moisturise my hair. The LOC method ensures the moisture stays in my hair even after it is dry. The L: leave in codntioner. O:oil and C: cream. I do believe this is the best method to properly moisturise your hair especially low porosity.

//About me

My name is Roxanne. I was born (in 1997) and raised in Curaçao (a small island in the Caribbean). Since the summer of 2016 I’ve been living in The Netherlands. Aside from my native language Papiamento, I speak Dutch as my second language and English as my third language. I have a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology. I love all things hair, fashion and makeup. I love to approach them in a minimal and effortless way while staying true to my personal style.

//Hair info

I have been natural all my life and I am definitely a curly hair enthusiast!

In October 2018 I did a pixie cut because I had a very negative emotional relationship with my hair and I needed a drastic change.

In February 2019 I had a buzz cut to support my mother because she lost all her hair because of chemotherapy. Then I just maintained my curly pixie.

In March 2020 I decided that I want to grow my hair out. I started my channel not only to document my journey to waist length hair, but to also post videos related to fashion, beauty, lifestyle and more.

Hair type: 3b

Hair porosity: low/normal

Hair density: medium

Hair length goal: waist

Over on tick tock, the goddess rates on natural hair had gone absolutely viral, so inspired by all these beautiful. Ladies, i am going to attempt this hairstyle on my low porosity, medium density 3b short curly, hair. Let'S get into it, i wanted to do this hairstyle on clean hair, so i hopped in the shower to gently scrub, my scalp, i do this with the mayo, pomegranate and honey shampoo and for some reason, the pump stopped working. So that's why i removed it. However, i accidentally used a little bit too much. I really love this shampoo and, as you can see, it sets up quite nicely and it smells absolutely fantastic. It'S like summer in a bottle, it smells exactly like their leave-in conditioner. After rinsing out. The shampoo i followed with the matching conditioner, sadly, the pump also stopped working. I mixed what was left in the bottle with water. That'S why the conditioner is so watery. Normally it's a little thicker than that. I was able to do half of my head with the amount, so i went in with, as i am hydration elation specifically on at the ends, because the conditioner is much richer than the mayo conditioner. I thoroughly massage the conditioners in my hair before detangling, and this helps my hair to really absorb the products rather than having the product sitting on top of my hair strands and as you can see, i'm gently detangling my curls with a wide tooth comb. Starting from my ends, working my way to the top after i was done a detangling, i rinsed it all out, and lastly, i applied some leave-in conditioner in my hair. Now, as you just saw in the shower, i used a little bit of the kinky curly, not today, leave-in conditioner, just to keep my hair moisturized as i was getting ready doing the whole setup. You know the whole thing, because i'm gon na do a protective hairstyle. It'S absolutely crucial for me to properly moisturize my hair, but, more importantly, to keep the moisture in my hair. That'S why i'm gon na do the lock method, starting with a leave-in, conditioner first and then an oil. I, like argan oil or sweet almond oil for this method and then i'll layer, the cream on top, and this method really helps to ensure that all the moisture you're putting in your hair actually stays in your hair. Instead of just evaporating as your hair is drying and then i'll do the normal three strand braid and randomly leave a few pieces out. I don't follow a particular method at all, just whatever feels natural in that moment, and i pretty much repeat the same process over and over and over and over again, but after two hours. This is what it looked like in the back. It was extremely hard for me to part my hair. I definitely underestimated this part, but having a mirror in front of you and one behind. You definitely helps, though, next time i'll probably see if i can have a bigger mirror in front of me, the small one was not enough. I actually. Ideally i would want to have one and next to me as well. Just like a 360 view of myself. That would make the process so much easier. I think about three and a half hours later i reached my crown area and this part humbled me real quick. It was just oh, my god. I got frustrated that was literally the hardest part of this whole entire hairstyle and, as you can see, i had no clue how to part the top of my head. I kept going back and forth with the mirror in front of me and just that's how it felt on the inside full transparency. This hairstyle is exhausting. I am so tired, so tired, my body hurts. This is taking me so long, i'm on hour, six right now and i took an hour break, but the hardest part was just the hardest. Stop the hardest. The hardest part was definitely this on the top of my head. I had no idea how to part it and this parting. This section took me two hours and i feel like i'm gon na pass out. So let me quickly do the rest of my hair once i figured it out, the rest went pretty smoothly and again i'm doing the lock method, the leave-in conditioner first and then an argan oil and lastly, the cream, and that my friends is the final look parting. My hair was an absolute nightmare, but overall i really really really love the way it turned out and look at that happy face. Look at the braids, you guys they are so juicy. They are moisturized and just chef's kiss. They are perfect, as you guys can see. I slept with my hair in this avonnet my braids and i'm actually really really curious to see what they look like the next morning. So, let's do it so this is looking actually quite perfect and i don't have any refreshing to do as far as i can see. However, this braid is looking a little bit crooked. Can you see that i think i put it weird in my bonnet and slept on it? Maybe so i'm gon na see if i can fix this by applying some mousse. Let me grab my mousse okay, so i have my deputy. Do girls with curl smooth is what i used in my hair. I think i'm just gon na do this to flatten this. Oh that already fixed it. Oh, my god, it was just a matter of a few seconds, but the braid went back to how it's supposed to lay. This is the only like protective like hairstyle, that i've done since my big job in two years, two to three years. At this point, i'm really really really excited my braids. They are looking really nice. Thanks to the bonnet. I highly recommend that i don't have any refreshing to do. My braids are still pretty moisturized, i'm so happy. I did the lock method highly recommend that method too, especially if you have low porosity hair, it's actually kind of perfect, oh, my god, i'm so excited and, as per my edges, i'll do the same as yesterday with my eco styler gel the argan oil one and That my friends is pretty much the way my braids look like the next morning, and it's actually making me so excited to do more or to at least try out more protective hairstyles. Look at that. Thank you so so so much for watching this video and i hope to see you guys again in my next one and in my next video i'll, be sharing how i take care of my curls, how they look like on day three day. Four and all the hairstyles that i plan to do with them.

Fasting My Way to Jenn: Wow it looks so pretty

Helen PRESCOTT: Hey, it came out really nice. Is it that you did not leave the strand out in some of the braids at the back??

filmsbynix: I do not have the patience for this
