Whoa there's a thumbs up the rain. Please ignore it: hey pizzas, it's Viviana and today it's another. The time is way too hot to have my hair in any type of party style. So I'm protecting it from myself. Actually, it's raining right now. So it's a bit cooler today, but in any ways I can't wear my hair curly and oh because it's just going to freeze up. Oh so the style I'm going to be trying out today is called boho bread. You might have heard of boho Lots the hybrid between lock extensions and like curly hair, and it seems like it's also called goddess locks or goddess braids - something like that. But for this time this time it's a hybrid of braids plots and curls without extensions on your own natural hair. So it looks pretty easy. First, a nice clean box, section start plaiting your hair check out a little piece of hair for curl continue it. It looks pretty simple. Thank you. Do I have curly hair? No, my natural hair is more like wavy. I leave a video of my pre-bleached Virgin natural hair up in the eye bags. So, even though I think my final result is going up a hot mess because my hair isn't curly, I'm just gon na I'm just gon na trust, the process foreign. I went back and forth trying to decide on whether to do this style on freshly washed, wet hair or on dry hair dry hair. One because doing the style on wet hair will bring out my curls more about doing the style on dry. Hair will definitely make doing the plaits a lot easier, just spray, my hair with water. It gets it moisturized. Let us start this test with a section at the front, so we can both see what we're doing I'm gon na start by doing a center part, because I want the braids to have a center part. More than likely. This is going to be out of line when I actually reach to the front, but whatever foreign and now I'm going to detangle my hair, I'm trying to separate your hair into three even sections - okay, not very even but let's start foreign piece up here. So I really wasn't looking forward to putting my hair in my mouth on this style, even when I first liked in the tutorials I cringed. So I thought, after I separated the small section and held it in my mouth, that after I pass it like I'll, be able to let go the little piece of hair, but no as soon as I release the little piece from my mouth, it started to get Tangled while I was still clapping, so I had to hold 80 my mold the entire time, sorry for making up my face like that, but I was really hating this hair products, don't taste good. So that's the first one though, and because I want to help you guys to manage your expectations for what my hair can do. I'M gon na add some gel to the little pieces from now. Just so you see that there's not much going on all right, not much. We use an eagle, definitely using eagle okay. Maybe I should have pulled hair from the opposite side. So, like I pull her hair on this side, focus on focus on the hair, so, like I'll pull the hair on this side, I probably should have pulled the next piece of hair on the other side, or maybe it actually won't even matter even to add some Accessories, I don't hate, it might work just might work. I don't think I need to pull out any curly pieces at the back of my head like having loose pieces of hair at the back of your head, especially when you're kind of trying to do a protective style, probably not gon na make no sense. You know back there rubbing up on your shirt, causing breakage yeah. So with this back row, I'm just going to practice straight the list of all the products I've used and this handy mirror helping me to part. The back of my head will be down in the description box foreign do when I reach like the middle of my head, like my hair, not long enough for me to stretch all the way into my mouth and then you know have enough tension to Flap the Ear silver clamping clips - and I just put it into my hair and like as a dummy and then I can like keep the stray hair, is straight hairs. Stick the loose pieces of hair um into that clip so fold it: okay, foreign, let's try it foreign. There are more problems to come, so this is when I realized that the pieces closer to the ends we're going to be way too short stretch all the way up to the top of my head and, as I showed you guys earlier, if I Let Go loose Piece it's gon na try to get tangled up while I'm continue plaiting, so I was trying to position my hand to have the loose piece of hair hang down. While I was plaiting horizontally. I think I came up with a better plan instead of me trying to take the small short pieces and stick them up to the top. Why don't I hear me out? Take another one of these metal clips and click the hair up temporarily on itself like on the bridge, this a little more secure. Okay, like that yeah yeah. I really hope this is the solution or, like I thought this. This goes well from here. I know let's go running in the rain, I've been there and Back Again, I know how to fix a heart loves the Cure right from the start. We have is true, and the clouds are always there. You wash away the pain. This is what I've been really trying to avoid yeah crossing the hairs. I don't know if you can see the hair between it's, it's really stuck in there darn it. No I'm not going pop the hair. This is the first time it has happened since I've been doing my entire head of hair, so yeah, I'm gon na have to pull all this entire plaque to release this hair and then re-platted till we cross the finish line. Okay, let's riplap! It now is looking at these Flats, reminding me of a video I did with my mom, where I relinquished total control and allowed her to do my hair without me, seeing it mine. If you look at the hair, they have some straightish strands for me is wow. You know what the Finish style was so pretty I'll. Leave the video open the eye cards yay, I'm done I'm finished well, not quite. I now have to actually curl the loose strands. Oh now, I'm gon na soak my hair with the water and a whole lot of gin foreign, my hair down with a scarf I'm putting on my body because, usually with braids and blacks, I would tie my hair down with my scarf to you know: keep everything Nice and laid front don't fly aways but on the other hand, usually for wash and goes and curly Styles. I put them up on it so that I don't squash the curls yeah. I prioritize the curls for this one. So, let's hope the plaits have laid down nicely expecting this to be a little bit of a disaster. I mean whoever wakes up with that perfect wash and go. I thought it would be free to y'all. I don't know how I feel, how does it look? How does it look all right hold the Judgment? Let'S, let's add some accessories. Funny thing is when I did first, it is that I really did scroll passing so fast because I was like with a girl pattern. How you feel about your wash and goal is probably how you're going to feel about this hairstyle, because it's just highlighting your curl pattern, that's it and of course you can do this as big or as small as you want to do. But overall it really wasn't hard to do I'll give you things. I really hope you guys enjoyed this video and give me a thumbs up if you did if you're new to this Channel - and you haven't decided from this one video that you want to subscribe, really really it's all right. NATsoHIGH !: Loose plaits on my head never stay down and I end up with a Coolio hairstyle that I'm not down for

LT: I did this on my hair a few weeks ago. I loved it! It can't last more than a week and a half but the twist out after was the bomb, looked really good, so it made it up for it. Got 2 styles in one

Vera Safoa B. (teamnaturalitalia): I personally think it would damage my hair. All those pieces of hair hanging out scare me . Yours came out really cut tho

Toriko Website: It came out so cute ❤ I think Perm rods would perfect the curls too

Tiina Berg: Fun fact: I as aFinnish person uses your hair care tisps to help keep mu mum have a healthy head of hair, as a woman of Finnish descent in her late 70's. We went for the Ramstein concert in Gothenbourh this weekend, and she was checked up by younger men walkingpast her. Thank you for giving me tips to care for difficult textures (older nordic hair that is very porous and pronr for breakage, and resistant to death for curles or styling)

Amanda: You always make everything look great! I have the finest, type 1, hair but your videos are so fun I never miss one! Your spirit is so infectious.

Jasmine Morris: Great styling video. I saw someone with a looser curl pattern, putting hair in her mouth and it was a hard no for me. But as you were coming up with solution it seemed my mind was thinking the same way. thank you for improvising and not giving up. It would be interesting to watch how you take down this style with minimal breakage, frustration and back cracks on my way to the shop to pick up some clips

gnat: Literally anything you do with your hair is gorgeous, you're gorgeous, your spirit is gorgeous. Your videos make me so happy. Thank you

Hair by Mz Magic: I am on week 2 and half on my natural boho braids and the are about to come down do to being extremely dirty, but I am still getting compliments , this style is great because I don't have the extreme shrinkage, I love it, I'm doing a take down video tomorrow..your's looks great, I figured the clip method out also also don't braid all the way down , leave the ends out

Keneisha Brown: I’d just have to cut off those loose pieces after the first week not my hair!

Darriel Williams: Back in the day my mama would get her micros done exactly this by the Africans... but I think adding some jheri curl rods would perfect to add some definition to your curl... OH AND CAN WE GET THE TOILET PAPER ROLL REDO MA'AM

Michelle: Ooooo...the half up half down look was GORGEOUS!❤

Ashley Hughes: This video has shown me how very little I care for my hair lol I would have snapped off so many hairs out of frustration

Ken Wat: I wasn’t feeling it until you did the half up half down. It looked cute that way!

RubyLovesRocket: I could never do that with my hair, because it'd just look like a frizzy mess. I'd also look lazy and bad at styling my hair, instead of it being something deliberate and fashionable. I've seen it on a few people and really loved it...but some folks go totally overboard with the amount they leave out to the point where you wonder why they bothered.

Sophia E. Anderson: The end result you got was cute, the tidiness/lack of frizziness of braids but while still being able to see the lovely pattern of your natural curl/wave. I would love to see how it looks if you did it right after undoing twists so your hair is curly when you do it too see what a more 'manufactured' version of it would be.

Tara Dominguez: Viv can make ANY hairstyle look so pretty and flawless!! Love it!

Christy Brown: This is cute! I love seeing the process, problems included lol. I also wish I had these parting and braiding skills.

Skinimin Onochie: It’s cute but for all the work and for maximum protection extensions just seem easier…of course you can rock anything because of your genuineness and beauty. Love your content!

maisha price: It’s actually very cute ! Especially when you put the hair accessories ♥️.

baybeetricia: I have these in my hair now. I love them

Caribbeandiva25: Girl, I love it so beautiful I can't wait to try it I have type 4 as well and was wondering how it would look as well. But I would do finger coils we shall see lol. Blessings

MiVidaBellisima: This is a cute messy dread look, but I personally wouldn’t spend that much time on a style that doesn’t protect all my hair but leaves so much of it out ‍♀️

Keeper0fmyHEART: Omgosh Viv that turned out so cute. I was surprised at the different ways you can style it like you did at the end of the video. I've always thought it was unfair that I wasn't blessed with hair like yours. Mine is "line hair" according to my son when he was 5. It's straight as a line and smooth like satin so I can't even put most accessories into it cause they slip right out. Forget curls they last maybe an hour. Now if I perm it specially the spiral perm I'm getting waves and such 2 years later. Like someone else commented your personality is what draws me to your channel. You are unashamedly realistic and enthusiastic about your hair. I love watching you and have learned so much. Thanks for the great video.

Bridgette: I did these on my hair a couple days ago..did them smalll and they are bomb

Makaela M: I find it so lovely and interesting that we can have 4c hair but every head of hair can be so different. Do you think if you lived in a cooler climate, you’d have an easier time with keeping definition? When I moved to North Carolina from the Midwest the humidity made my hair frizz INSTANTLY. I had spent a whole 8 hours on a twist out only for it all to frizz in a matter of minutes. Never experienced that in Chicago.

Shawnell Henry: The style looks good and I don’t like the whole putting the hair in my mouth too. So I like what you did to handle that. Now, let’s see the take down. That’s my biggest concern about it. I’ve seen people take it down after less than a week and it wasn’t so bad. But I’m not putting in all that work for 5 days wear.

Samantha: Thank you for filming this video!!! It looks sooo good and I thought of that video where your mom braided your hair too!

TraMaunte: The half up half down style you did with it was very cute

Nina Williams: This is one of the style fads that I honestly hate the most, and I have the kind of hair, I guess, that it would work on without having to curl the loose pieces separately. Honestly though it seems like it would just result in a grip of breakage, and single strand knots, and frizz and tangles…. Definite no for me. I’d have done it as a crochet style if I absolutely HAD to

Autrela Prime: Thank you for doing this style! I think I’m gonna try this on my hair when I start teaching in a few weeks but I’m gonna do it on wet hair.

Shauneil Snell: I would love to see you try this again, but instead of leaving pieces of your own hair sticking out, get some curly texture human hair and add it in. That way it's truly a protective style, and it will be way less work keeping the curly hair looking curly for us type 4 girlies.

Toxic BangBang: I just adore you and appreciate your content. Thank you for all of the work you put in for us to enjoy.

Jordyn: I did mine on blow dried hair and I'm 4c/4b. I'm enjoying it ... But I didn't leave a whole lot of pieces out because my hair coils it doesn't really curl

Yaadie Curls: I tried this style twice and it’s cute in the beginning, but when those curly pieces start to frizz and knot up it’s so difficult to detangle

Mt Lite: I'm from The Bahamas and I feel like my hair is a lot like Viv's. I think it's the humidity that really does our curls in. Hard water also done me in

Fräsen P: I feel this with beads on the ends of the braids (and maybe without the loose strands) would look amazing

Emily D.: I'm curious what this could look like with some extensions to pump up the volume/ length. Love these videos!

K. Karma S: Love the style with the accessories! Very BoHo Chic

Yeema Wheaver: I like how this video came with it's own soothing sounds.

Alisha Bella: You should've wrapped the little pieces around perm rods to get a perfect curl. I'm going to do mine like that

Peace&Cookies〉(^_^)〈: I don't know why I'm so shocked that it came out so cute.... I didn't really vibe with the style generally but I like how you made it work for you, with all the charms as well! So cute

Zay-Zay: I love it on you. The half up half down is a style that seems to work for everyone who tries this style

You not: all the time u took to make sure that singular lil piece was healthy and safe . u are so patient with your hair, i love your relationship. inspired me :) also, you’re so beautiful. was thinking this the whole time. facial proportions / harmony — chefs kiss

Sheena Mah-sheens: This came out cute!! But I think I would add hair instead of leaving my hair out just to be safe. Great video! ❤️

krisdiane: I think with a deep side part this would be gorgeous! Waves are hard. My crown is wavy with big spiral curls almost everywhere else. The waves just do not stay together.

JadeBlackWolf: VIVI!!!!!!!!!! You would look gorgeous in any hair style. You could even go bald and would be just as beautiful.

OrganicBeauty30: Definitely the most entertaining boho braids video I’ve watched! Subscribing

Christina Kyle: So ready for more Viv content!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

Mirah B.: I'm soooo mad. I just did mini braids and I definitely could've tried this style. woulda been so cute definitely doing soon tho

Theresa: It looks like a very fun style to wear.

Rose from UK: Omg that mirror!! Eco gel crystal is the best for my hair to form curls, but I’m trying to pull my hair straighter with waves in so using different stuff lately

kay washington: That looks great. I appreciate that you have the patience to try out all these styles.

Dedlyniteshade: Aww my mum used to do these on me when I was a kid, I'm wavy not curly but loved the braid out:)

melonie summers: I'm going to try this on my natural hair. Very cute

Ariel: I did this on my 4c hair that is shorter than yours and it came out looking super cute it all in the way you style it and define your curls

Ayo Ayo: I did this style on my type 4 hair and I thought it was really cute BUT I used the wrong kind of gel for the pieces that got left out and I had to take it out and wash it after a week

Forced2makethis Bloodyaccount: Trust the process... Says the person that styled their hair with cotton buds. I'm just waiting for you to go full mermaid and curl your hair with kelp strands.

Hanna Young: Viv, you should do a Roman hairstyle from Janet Stephens, that would be interesting.

kalena Glory: Viv, I must say that you are one of the few , if not the only one I’ve seen who’s natural hair haven’t been damaged by hair color.

Tiffany Weston: This style looks cute on you I love your personality you have a new sub.

Nat Smith: It’s so cute?? Especially with the hair beads you make anything look good!

Anna Barringer: Great look!! I like the updo

Tani B: LOVE IT! Amazing as always, well most times. jk jk jk I would've put my leave-out on flexi rods to enhance and elongate my curl pattern. I may try this one

Megan Woods: New favorite ASMR: Viv doing her hair with thunder and rain noises in the background xD

Dolphins will take over: I’m so jealous that the back and front of your hair are the same length I have breakage on the perimeter of my head and it’s frustrating doing my hair on the front, sides, and back

Pamela Broecking: I was hoping you would do this one. Looks great.

C0utainZ: Lol… thank you for trying this… been waiting to see a proper video of someone with a similar texture to my hair try this style. It came out pretty good

Emeth: I love it. It turned out really good.

Janae Radack: I need to try this style, commenting before seeing end results. Trust the process. Love your content

starlights13: Cute. I used to do this when I had loose hair.

TeNice Xoxo: I leave my protective styles in too long to try thing my hair would absolutely break off

Jess Washington: You could add perm rods so that you get that curl, and with the gel they will last and fall naturally

Becca Raymond: U brave for trying this one cause with my 4c hair I would never

Mrs_L_ Samich: You look beautiful ❤️❤️❤️ gurl it's looking good!!

Miranda L: So cute on you! Love it.

Annaliese: It’s so pretty! I think it looks great!

Sierra Young: I think this style should be done on wet hair. I have 4c hair and anytime I do mini twist I do them on wet de tangled hair and twist look soooooo much better.

silentbahamabeauty: My braids are smaller and I didn't pull from every shingle. I did it on dry stretched hair and tried several things to get the curls, finding that I like using Eco Styler gel (finally a use for this gel). I tend to twist in large sections tightly then pull and lay flat against my head and pin them down at night to keep the style fresh. To refresh the curls, I slightly dampen then apply Eco Styler gel along the length until they are somewhat straight. Once all the gelling is done, I would raise and scrunch sections like the curly girls do with the diffuser on the hair dryer or the straight girls do with their hands to get beach waves. Then I let it air dry.

Faerli Kreepi: Fighting with the gel bottle is a MOOD

KAT B: thank you lol I now know not to do it.. love yah girl

Victoria Jean: I seriously wish I had your energy.... You're like freakin' sunshine...

Cale Cale: Eco styler gel doesn't work when it comes to defining my 4c curls, If i want my curls to stay elongated I need to use a hair wax(redone quicksilver or red) first and wetline extreme gel over it. With 4c hair it needs 2 parts for sleek, defined or elongated styles: one product or tool to weigh it down and another to lock it in place. I haven't found a solution that does both yet though.

Lindsey B: This style is beautiful on you

finallyanaccount: My hair is like this. It waves more than curls. Especially the top half of my head… completely different texture from the back. And I have virgin hair…

strawberry kisses: wow it looks so good on you!

serel777: I missed these types of videos ❤️ thanks Viv

nothinglasts forever: It came out so cute!

Jeannine Gorden: I am so interested in the take down of this style. All the vids I have seen so far don't discuss or show it.

Michelle Rodgers: I need to see someone do a complete take down after wearing it for a week or two before i have an opinion…it looks scary to take down.

Lola and Bauli Buns: Never been so early Edit:I love them on you!!!!

Na'Coleone Daniels: I think if you did a side part, it would’ve looked better

Deneisha D'Aguilar-Foster: I would do a redo but instead of leaving out your hair, crochet in some deep wave hair where you want the leave out, overall not bad.

anpdm1: I've seen it done where curly extensions were braided in, with its ends were left out. I couldn't leave my ends out, they'd fuzz up and fray.

Adam Peeples: I see the struggles but results are great

Monique Meade: Would you be crazy enough to do this again but next time curl the loose bits of hair around a toothpick or something so that you have more defined curls?

RaWW Talent: I think the half up half down style looked really cute. I think it will work for you. you just gotta do a little more "perfecting"

sashi dreamchaser: It came out nice i need to try it on my hair

krisdiane: Omg, Viv, your face at 4:25 almost made me spit toothpaste all over. You did not want that hair back in your mouth.

Ms..B: i think it looked super cute just the way it turned out
