How to French Twist Hair. Hello, welcome to Videojug. I'm Leila from Saco Hair and I'm going to show you how to do a French twist., So I'm establishing a little parting. Okay, pushing everything in towards the middle.. I'Ve also got all of this nice and clean.. I start putting some grips in here to make it stay and to prepare for a little twist. Once that is done, I just again go over with a little bit of spray. Clean it all up., Once you've got the grips in the back, you put your hand Underneath her neck, where her neck rounds and very very gently with a bristle brush brush everything into the side. And then you press it with the other hand, so it's nice and flat wrap it around. Half around your hand, put your thumb in wrap the hair around your thumb and secure it with the other fingers by just literally twisting it a bit. While you're twisting it do bring it up. With the big pins, just literally sliding it in on the twist and Bring it over to the hair and bringing it in towards the middle, underneath the twist. Finishing this off with a bristle brush just work very gently on the surface and bring this hair up. You want to cover this little area here. When you're finished just finish off with a bit more spray., Make sure that's all nice and smooth.. So that's a French twist. Done.

Mary Anne Evans: Short simple tutorial with great results. Love it!

mylieblue: it's beautiful :) I used to do this French Twist every morning when getting ready to go to work... Mine was slightly different than this one... I used to put the hair underneath the twist... (ie: once you put all the hair on the left side and use your hand to bring the hair to the right side, that's when I used to swirl the hair in instead of in a upward motion like you did in the video)... Your way looks easier and faster than mine and it looks very good, too :)

unicahija1985: I never been good at designing hairstyle, but this one looks easy to do. thanks!

Mary draws stuff: Thank you so much for the video :) I've been trying to do this in a while, and now I can!

Sans Soucci: Really nice!! I'm letting my hair grow because of this vid...I just have bout 2 inches till I can do that to my hair....Love it, thanks for sharing!!

alice2017: I was looking for some instructions on how to tie my hair in a "French twist" way and I've found this GORGEOUS short haircut that the haidresser is wearing... :) so French, by the way! Great tutorial!

Bri's Self Love Diary: GORGEOUS!!!! I may be overreacting but I can't believe it's that easy and you did it SO neatly XD

NoWrongLife: that's my grandmother's everyday hairstyle! :D I love it!

Jennifer Benjamin: You make it look so easy!!!!!

mlr48: I have done my own hair this way -with NO help from others - with the length well below shoulders - probably to mid back. I agree with you - it would be very difficult if not impossible to do with knee length hair. That is a lot of hair. Your comment will save others with very long hair a lot of trouble trying to do this. If anyone has done it successfully - DO COMMENT HERE :0)

Kimshi4242: very nice! I tried one today and it looked pretty bad. Your tips help a lot!

PirateKing1256: So beautifully done!

Marcela montiel: y yo tantas veces me rompí la cabeza pensando en como se hacia :) muchas gracias!

Johnston6999: Nice job! Looks very elegant.

Ludmila Alexei: Very simple and nice!

Stardust by Sarah: i cannot say how long i've been looking for how to do this hairstyle... or to even know what it's called! It's like a weight has been lifted haha

sodasirap: @ctti I think this one is more professionally made because it's too perfectionist (too many pins and hairspray) while Lilith's is more casually done. Well, french twist isn't a hassle for me, maybe because I've done it thousands of times already (it does need practices, especially if you have sleak, thick hair like mine). But hey, different people have different opinions, right?

labikkinna: Thank you for posting the CORRECT WAY OF FRENCH TWIST, this is how old school beauty schools would do it with a bit of teasing, anyone else who claims french twist just imagined a way of doing it the cheeap way..

adriana pabon: me encanto tu forma de explicar ese peinado ..............espectacular

Karolina M: Gosh! I want to wear this style on my interview date!

Kelia Coleman: That's not as hard as I thought! I can do that too! :D yay! thanks!

IvanaEle: She did it so perfect.

writerspen010: I almost got it on my first try :D

Pose: Great! Enjoy trying it out. Hope it goes well. :-D

Karol Santiago: this is sooo cute! i wish i had extra long hands and eyes to do it myself xD

annirific: @dancersof you can definitely do it by yourself, i do this all the time for work. it's really easy too - takes me more time to brush my teeth :)

peekaboots01: I can't stop watching this. It's the nicest French twist I've seen. It's perfect and she did it w/o teasing the hair. It's a professional twist, so nice.

Rabiya Shaikh: Looks so easy but difficult to do!

Lucia V: al fin encontre este peinado... mañana lo intento... ya que hoy ya me arregle

natalie mango: i tried it and it turned out cute thx :)

Alex kolobok: Thank You so much!!! Perfect!!!!

VikkiSC: Much more simple than what i learnt...

Kay Nicole: im going to try this now. might do a video on it :)

99Luva: thank u! this is exactly what I am talking about FOR ME....it looks great but I would like the highlights all the way to the bottom of where you can see all the dark chunk.

Arellano zttm: Muy facil' claro esta se ve una tecnica para poder hacerlo facil.graciassss

J en Vogue: You should show how you pinned the top of the twist as well! But, very good tutorial!

Colleen Casey: That was really nice. I wish I had straight hair. With thick hair, if you do the same thing she did when your hair is wet and use a bit more hairspray and a LOT more pins, it works lol and the top looks different because the curls though so it's not as sleek but it is good if you're going to class or work

nocoho1: This is the most complicated way I have ever seen to show how to do a french twist. There are many more straight forward tutorials out there.

Daniela 79: Hermoso peinado

BonBonSweets: Wow I have a much easier way. brush front of hair or bangs to the side the way U liked. Then pull all hair to the back into a ponytail level with the top of your ears. Tie with an elastic once elastic is in, twist hair up wards, keep twisting untill elastic part of pony is pulled in and covered with hair, then hold in place and start pinning... Just like in the video. I use 2 or 3 clear rubber bands for the ponytail.

Anastasia Lea: I want to have a French knot for my grad :D it's really nice

Dolo M: Beautiful! <3

BonBonSweets: Cool but I may have a much easier way.Brush front of hair or bangs to the side the way U like. Then pull all hair to the back into a ponytail, level with the top of your ears.Tie with an elastic once elastic is in, twist hair up wards, keep twisting untill elastic part of pony is pulled in and covered with hair, then hold in place and start pinning.Just like in the video.Use 2 or 3 clear rubber bands for the ponytail.U might think why watch if I knew, I like too learn and share:D.

Cristina Rosca: @pajara5 My hair's thick too, but as you notice, she is putting the grips in a cross. That holds really well, try that. And using a lot of pins!

whydontwejustdance07: I could listen to you talk all day. And that's amazing!!!

K.d. Lyn: There are different kinds of bobby pins, she used the more open style ones as opposed to the regular ones you would get for like $1 that clamp closed. You can try taking the $1 ones and opening them a bit, should have the same effect.

Xx3Tinkerbellx3X: I tried this on my knee length hair. I can now confirm that it is impossible.

SsorchaSFOX: @alinecalves turns out it isn't entirely impossible :) just managed it...i had to modify it slightly because my hair is much too long to do it exactly how she does, but it works.

Tori Hoffman: It might also help to have perfect beautiful hair as seen in the video.

Ангелина Юрьевна: So neat!! Thank you!

supersunshineglasses: Perfect for ballet class, if you don't have to where a bun!

Royani Sinaga: So simple. I can do that.

thismesscalleddilly: She made it look so easy

Bellues: NOW I KNOW HOW TO DO THIS

Suni: Lovely. Thank you

Nathalie Abejero: thanks - i couldn't see what kind and how pins were being used to secure the hair in other videos so using a blonde and zooming in was helpful.

Clara Salmonn: this is realllly goood! thank you for that video!! :)

TheButterflybeat: ugh, my hair is too long and thick for this...once i twist it (which takes forever without extra pairs of eyes and hands..) there's so much extra hair sticking up at the top... :((

missheath000: i like putting the clips in first for a neat look. great job

Me Meme: beautiful but impossible to do on yourself!

Fabian Carreon: You should really consider doing ASMR videos your voice is so relaxing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pose: Glad you like it. Check out our new 'Hair With Hollie' series for more styling inspiration!

E. Naydenova: I could never do it on my own :(

LBickford1: It's a lovely style. How difficult is it to secure the hair to wrap it if you're working on the back of your own head? I'd need two mirrors to see what I'm doing.

tisSoSilly: @crjoe07 try another type of hairspray. for instance try using flexible hold instead of hard one. I find that Dove's Flexible hold hairspray does the job, and keeps your hair looking natural and dry/clean looking.

Jenny Lee: Ah but can the model do it herself? I, like most of the population, don't have a hairdresser at my beck and call!

TinaSeptember: Now that's an excellent one!:)

miishizaki: It's a beautiful tutorial....but it's easier to do it on someone else than it is on yourself......

Yovita Sri Endang Wahyuningsih: I Like it...the simple step...

chuxuya akazuki: wow .. so nice .. i love it to watch

Rusalka: Ah damn seeing this makes me really sorry for having cut layers recently >.<

MajikkaniHand: Lovely!

baby food: so hard to do on yourself, especially with my long ass hair

Ylva Maria: I learned the twisting part myself, but i had issues with attaching it, that's why i came here

Hannah Ellery: I have a client that wants this today, I’ll let you know if this tutorial was any good

Raine Carosin: loverly, but now I have to find someone who can do it themselves... thanks... lovely production...

Kelly Marie: Ok, that's great for someone who has a personal hair dresser.  But what if I want to create this at home?

MsCarlab1: god i always wanted to know how to do this hairstyle but i never knew what it was called (i typed in a song called french twist) so im pretty chuffed :)

Sofi Hope: Thank you :)

Mahnoor Asghar: yeahhh....okay.....i mean that was the only explanation i could come up with...so...hmm......I FINALLY LEARNT HOW TO FRENCH TWIST HAIR!!!YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!!!I HOPE YOU LEARN IT TOO!!

Noor Azilah Jamuri: easy but great... tq... ;-)

aaliyah: Totally worked

un0m3asa13ah: That's so much easier than I thought...

gloria aldana: the girls hair is so beautiful! c:

Bobbie Daniel: hmmm. my hair is so long and thick - idk if some pins would hold it. worth a try i guess!

GGHI: You dont look very happy but this was a good video. Thanks :)

thom: @nabejero she used a big pin to secure the hair in the last step . type 'big hair pin' in google and you can find it

shannon bowyer vlogs: that is so much easier than the other ways

raecaw: @Throatxwhores they are just the same i think. this is a english series so bobby pins are called hair grips usually :)

Linda Queen: So easy N' Coool

Chelsea Wayant: So cool!

Amber: looks difficult wish I could do this to my own hair

radhika: You make it look so easy. LOL.

MyMarcosjose: Who let this lady do a tutorial? She needs a tutorial on how to give instructions.

Renad Alt: That's it??? Wow that was really easy

Kylie Hansen: No wonder each time I did it, it wouldn't work! Ive been doing it all wrong

Kit Kat: Cute accent, I'll be trying this one out for sure. Hair care people do make everything look easy but I've found with enough patience and pins :D you can get the job done even after a few moments of hating yourself and your skills or lack thereof of fixing your own hair XD

ninanina189: ARRRRRRRRRH! I'm usually a patient person but nothing irritates me as much as trying and failing to do my hair nicely for once..I've lost count of how many times I've tried this and I just can't do it!

Kelsey Halloran: haha @shadogal95 It looks so easy!!

mElLowzzzzz: HOW DO YOU DO THIS WHEN YOU HAVE LAYERS ... :(
