Hi everyone thank you for watching again today. I want to talk to you guys about how to deal with your daughter's hair when it isn't growing as fast as you would like it to grow. I experienced this firsthand, which announced her because when she was born, she had very little hair and throughout the years it wasn't getting any longer, and I really didn't know how to go about it. People were asking me what was wrong and even suggested to shave her hair and start over. I decided not to put so much emphasis on getting her hair to grow, but on keeping her hair healthy. Everyone'S hair just grows at a different pace and Janelle's just had a slow start, because when she was about 3 years old, her her decided they waited long enough and finally started to show something. Looking back, I realized that her hair was always growing steadily getting thicker and that length retention plays a key role in growing longer hair. So here are my tips to getting your daughter's hair to grow. Tip number one is to be patient. I know this is the most obvious tip, but it's also the hardest one to accept everyone's hair grows at a different rate. There'S nothing! You can change about that, but what you can do is to make sure that you create the right environment to retain the growth that she does have. The reason why you're not seeing rope might just be because you're doing stuff that are causing breakage to the little hair she does have that's why? Knowing the do's and don'ts is crucial, tip number two learn how to detangle properly, never detangle hair. When it's right, it will only cause unnecessary pain and breakage, and only the singular hair when it's wet and saturated with conditioner detangle in sections and always start at the tips of your hair working. Your way up, if you want a visual and how I detangle my daughter's hair click on the link above and get yourself a detangling brush girl number tree, avoid any tight hair cells too many and too tight, ponytails, braids, etc. Will cause damage to make it seem like your daughter's hair, isn't growing when it's just breaking up at the same rate up for twist, instead of braids, as it's nearly impossible for twists to be done too tight? Also, it gives the illusion of fuller hair if your daughter's hair isn't as thick or just that it pro number 4 choose no manipulation, hair styles. That means her selves that don't require daily maintenance like retwisting or hair every night or detangling every two days, silent or daughter's hair. Only once a week should do the trick. Number five deep conditioning is key when you're only styling her hair once a week, because it gives her inherits weekly doses of vitamins and minerals which will strengthen her hair. And we all know that strong hair means, let's breakage trim when necessary, thinning and send an increase of tangles are signs that your daughter's hair needs a trim. If you don't trim the ends, increasement of knots will break up the strengths that are still healthy and will cause a major setback in your hair growth journey. Tip number seven is my last and final tip protector, hair and moisture level by the in here sleep on a satin pillowcase around the age of three. You can also up for a satin scarf. Instead, I prefer satin scarf because it also keeps the hairstyle. In fact, even when she's about sleeper, that was it. Thank you for watching again. Helena Oki: Wow I'm encouraged to see someone with a similar situation as mine. My daughter is only 2.5 years old but her hair is frowning slowly and unequally around her head and I've had many people question me and suggesting I cut it off but I will definitely not! After watching this video I'm really excited to start looking after it more and see it grow.

Adaeze Ezeani: Watching this NOT because my child's hair isn't growing but for ME

Nuraya: Thank you, this helps a lot. My 2 daughters 4 and 20_month_old have the same issue. Thin, curly hair. I cut it thought, for both. Cultural thingy. At the beginning I was wondering what was wrong. The oldest daughter it has grown but still thin. I can also see a growth on the little one. strawburybounce: Wait it out lol...some ppl's hair takes a while to kick in esp if the texture is fine. My family still teases me about being practically bald till I was 3 yrs old. My hair got longer and thicker and fully grew in by the time I was 6 or 7. I have curly hair that stops at the small of my back and get compliments all the time. My one year old is now the same way, barely any hair. He has a natural Mohawk lol and just enough to pinch in the back. But I know it will grow in, his hair has gradually been getting thicker and longer. Trust me, the hair will stay fine textured but the length and fullness WILL COME!

gmcmim1: Some folks hair takes time to grow. But like you said length retention is key. Cause often in the black community we say if your hair isn't hanging at a long length. When in reality it's often not properly cared for. Newsflash folks your hair is genetically always growing. Learn to be gentle and take care of it. Black women can grow long hair like any other race of women.

veer9: I was bold for the first year of my life, didn't even have eyelashes at first, while my twin sister was born with straight red(ish) hair.
