Hello, my love's, and welcome back to my hair Channel today, I'm going to be showing you an exciting video on 12, easy ways that you can curl your hair. Some of these ways require heat, and some of them are completely heatless. I'M also going to be clipping in just a few webs from my fancy hair extensions set in the color hazel, not dirty blonde, to add some thickness and length to my hair just show, so I could get it together, Dickie just so that I have more hair To work with God, there's like a monsoon outside, I don't know if you guys can hear that, but there's like a torrential downpour outside right now. I really hope it's not going to distract you guys, because it's totally distracting me so, as I was saying, I'm going to be clipping in just a few EPS for my fancy, hair extensions set to have more hair to work with. So I can show you all of the easy ways to curl your hair. So the further ado I'm going to clip in a few of these webs and we're gon na get right into the tutorial. Okay. So now that I clipped in a few F's of my fancy, hair extensions and I have more hair to work with I'm going to first protect my hair, obviously from heat damage using this rock your hair, hot curls thermal heat spray. So I'm just brushing it out to evenly distribute the product so that I can make sure that all of my hair is coated. Okay, so the first curling method, I'm going to show you is going to be a classic flat curl and if you guys are looking for a good curling wand, I would recommend going with a 1 inch curling barrel. It'S a very, very versatile barrel. You could create so many different types of curls with it as I'll show you. You can also create beautiful waves using it. So if you are debating whether to go with a 1 inch or a one and a half inch - and you don't know the difference, the difference is a 1 inch. Curling wand will give you the options of so many different hairstyles. So let me show you the first one, which is the flat curl. So all you want to do is take a section of hair, that's about an inch in thickness, and then you want to make sure that it is as flat as possible. And what I like to do is just to brush it out. Just to make sure that there are no tangles and then once I've done, that I'm going to take my curling wand and take the set of hair and just wrap it around the barrel, like so making sure that the hair is as flat against the barrel as Possible then, I'm gon na hold it for about 10 to 15 seconds and then, when the time is up, I'm just going to drop the curl into my hand, and this is the most important thing that you want to do when you're curling, your hair. If you want to make sure that your curls last as long as possible, you want to let them set and cool down in the palm of your hand, and once you feel that they have cooled down a little bit. That means that the curl is almost set, and then you can just release the curl and, as you can see, using this technique, you're going to get a very flat ribbon type curl. It is very defined and it is pretty even all throughout. So the next curling method I'm going to be showing you is going to be using these tools. These are called flexi rods. I'Ve talked about them in a couple of my videos in the past. I picked these up at Walmart they're super inexpensive and you can create really beautiful, heatless curls with them. So what I usually do is I wait until my hair is about 70 to 80 % dry after I get out of the shower, and then I just condition my hair put a leave-in conditioner in brush it out, and then I wrap them around these flexi rods And lock them in place and wait until my hair is a hundred percent dry before I release them. But today, since my hair is dry, what I'm going to do is just spray a little bit of this heat protectant spray, because it is water-based. So you want to get it a little bit wet and then I'm gon na take one of these flexi rods bend over the top part and then take the section and wrap it around. And when I get to the end, I'm just going to flip the end up and that's going to lock the hair in place and when the section is going to be dry, I'm going to let it out and I'm going to show you how that's going to Look like when I take it out. This is the flexi rod curl, it's very tight on top and, as you can see, the ends are a little bit looser. So you get this really interesting kind of boho tasseled wave and what I like to do is break it up with my fingers and then you're going to have something that looks like this now. This next curling technique is really really interesting, because you will need a toilet paper roll. Yes, you heard me right a toilet paper roll now. I was very skeptical when I first heard about this, but then I tried it out for myself and it actually works wonders. So all you want to do is again take a slightly damp section of hair and you want to take a empty toilet paper roll and just take the section of hair and wrap it around so once you've wrapped it like that. What you want to do is just take a couple of bobby pins and you just want to pin it in place so again, I'm gon na let this dry completely before I reveal how it looks so. My toilet paper, roll curls, should be set and dry by now, so I'm just going to take it out and as you can see, this gives you a really beautiful, loose bouncy, curl, it's so so beautiful and I'm gon na brush it out just a little bit More just to make it a little looser. So that's what you'll get with the toilet paper curls and if you brush them out, you're gon na get these really beautiful, tousle. Looking curls for the next curl, you want to take your 1 inch curling barrel again, and you want to take a small section of hair and you just want to twist it. So after you twisted it a little bit, you want to take it around your barrel and you want to wrap the curl around the barrel or sort this section of hair around the barrel. Super super tightly you're gon na leave it on the barrel for about 10 to 15 seconds, just like we did with the previous one and then release it into the palm of your hand to cool down and set. So, as you can see, this curl is very, very different from the flat curl that I showed you. This one is a lot more tight and what you want to do with this type of curl or what I do with this type of curl is. I just break it up just so it is not so tight and when you break it up you're going to get this really beautiful kind of loose, wavy curl that I really really love and, as you can see, all of these little strands kind of intertwine with One another and create one big type of curl for the next curling method: you're going to need two things: you're going to need a flat iron and you're gon na need some tinfoil. Yes, you heard me right again, tinfoil, so there's a couple ways that I like to use tin, foil, to style, my hair and I'm going to show you it one of those ways. So for the first way, I'm going to take a piece of tin, foil and about this big is perfect, and then I'm going to take a section of hair and what you want to do is take your two fingers wrap your hair around those two fingers until You have like a little coiled up section that looks like this, and then you want to take your tin foil, put it places behind that little curl that you create it and then fold up the tin foil like a burrito. You want to try to get this as flat as possible so that you can fit your flat iron over it, but there's my little burrito and then I'm just going to secure the sides so that it doesn't go anywhere and again, I'm just making sure it's as Flat as possible, and then I'm going to take my flat iron and I'm going to squeeze the tin foil for about eight seconds. You really don't need to do it for much longer than that, because sinful is a conductor and it's going to heat up really really quickly. So that should be good, and I'm going to leave it like this until it cools down completely once it cools down completely, the curl will be set. So by now my pancake curls should have been set. So I'm just going to release it to show you guys what it looks like and, as you can see, it's a beautiful natural type curl. It'S a little bit tighter in the midsection a little bit looser at the bottom, and when you create these types of curls all over your head, every single curl turns out so differently and that's one of the things that I love about this technique. I'M going to show you another way that I like to curl my hair using tin foil. So again, you want to prepare a section of hair and this time we're going to be taking a larger piece of tin, foil and what you want to do with the tin. Foil is kind of roll it up like so really sorry guys if that was really loud. So basically, what I did is essentially create a flexi rod but a larger flexi rod. So it's the same idea, so you want to just fold down the top and then take your piece of hair spray it with water or heat protectant, and then take your hair and then wrap it around the tin foil. Once you have it wrapped. You just want to fold up the underside so that it's stays in place and again I'm going to reveal that to you once it's completely dry. So I think by now my tin, foil curls set, so I'm just going to unravel it to reveal what that looks. Like and as you can see, this is going to give you a much more irregular, boho type curl, it's very unique, very interesting and again, every single curl is going to look very different and it's completely heatless. If you're looking for an easy way to curl your hair - and you don't want to apply any heat to your hair, I would definitely recommend trying this one out. So for the next curl you want to take your 1 inch curling wand again and then what we're going to do is take the top half of the section and we're going to curl it away from the face and hold it for 10 to 15 seconds. And then we're going to take the other half the bottom half of the strand and curl it towards the face. So in the opposite direction. And then you get this beautiful multi-directional curl, where the top half is going one way and the bottom of the curl is going another way, and I think this is such a natural looking curl, because if you look at natural curls they have is Bend somewhere along The Strand and the curls don't always go in one direction, so I really really love this curl. It'S one of my favorites. It just takes really really long to do. If you don't have this type of hair, naturally. So this next curling method I actually stumbled upon by accident. I did mention this story on my beauty channel. What happened was I was doing my makeup one day and all of a sudden, my power went out and I didn't even have a chance to do my hair yet, and I was planning on curling, my hair. So what I decided to do instead was take a little bit of hairspray and use the tools that I already have. My two fingers - and I just took a section of hair and what I did was spray it a little bit with hairspray. And then I wrapped it around my two fingers and then you can either hold them in place like that and wait until the hairspray dries or what you can do is take a little crocodile clip and just clip the hair in place until it dries and sets Completely, I'm gon na do the same thing on the other side, just to balance it out and if you're gon na be using this technique for the face framing pieces around your face, I would recommend curling them away from your face, because it's a lot more flattering. We wanted to show you guys what these beautiful pin curls look like, as you can see, they're very natural bouncy type baked curls, and they really really love them. They'Re perfect for framing the face, and I love how they are uneven and gives it such a natural texture. So now I'm going to show you why the one-inch barrel is so so versatile. So I showed you how to create medium to loose type curls using the one-inch curling barrel already. So now, I'm going to show you how you can create a tighter curl. So, for that you want to take a much smaller section of hair, and then you just want to tightly wrap it around the barrel and then again hold it for about 10 to 15 seconds. If it's a smaller section like this, you can get away with ten seconds, then you just want to go ahead and drop the curl in your hand to cool and set. I look so attractive right now, I'm just missing the toilet paper roll. So, as you can see using the same one-inch curling barrel, I created more medium to looser type curls and it created a tight curl. So that's why I say if you're looking for a curling barrel and you're, not sure what size to go with go with a one-inch, because there's so many different types of looks that you can go with if you use a chunkier section of hair like super super Thick, you can also create beachy waves, so the next method, I'm going to show you to curl. Your hair involves a straw, so you can use those plastic little straws are just going to give you a much much much tighter curl, like Beyonce type curls. I didn't have those I had these plastic straws, so all you want to do is take a section of hair and I'm gon na be using a chunkier section of hair, because I don't want the curls to be super super tight that way they blend more with The other types of curls that I already have in my hair and again, I'm just going to get it a little bit moist that sounded really weird and then take the straw and then wrap the hair around the straw. And then, when you get to the ends. What I like to do is just take a couple bobby pins, secure it from the bottom and then secure it from the top. So again, I'm going to leave this in my hair until it cools down completely and then I'm going to reveal to you what it looks like when it's completely dry. So I'm gon na check on my straw, curl right now and see if that's ready to take out. Oh yeah baby, it's ready! So, as you can see, this is another very irregular, tight type of curl kind of has a like a messy texture to it. It'S a very, very interesting curl. Again, it's a great option for those of you who don't want to apply any heat to your hair. The next curling method, I'm going to show you has been dubbed the Victoria Secret type tasseled curls. So what you want to do is take a medium sized section of hair and again I'm taking my one in G barrel and I'm curling my hair around the barrel, and you don't want to curl all the way to the end. What you want to do, instead is gently slide, the hair against the curling wand back and forth back and forth until you make your way to the ends. So, as you can see, this is a really beautiful, tassel type curl. So you have it going from straight to curly and I just love the way that this curl transitions. It'S really that I woke up this way. Curl, especially when you break it up and that's what you're supposed to do, and once you break it up, you get this this beautiful curl and once they loosen up a little bit, they look even better. The last curling method, I'm going to show you guys, is one of my favorites, because it's actually super super easy to create and it also offers long-lasting curls. I find that when I use this method, my curls last so much longer than if I were to use a regular curling wand and I'm talking about using your flat iron to create curls. Now I have done a few tutorials on how to do this in debt, but for demonstration purposes, I'm going to go ahead and show you how I would do that. So all I'm going to do is take a section of hair and I'm going to start rotating. My flat iron boards my face, and, of course you can go away from your face, and this is going to create a very similar effect to that Victoria's Secret type curl, but the curl starts to twist and turn much lower down the shaft. Of course you can start curling it up here, but I really like that. Most of the hair remains straight and just the ends are kind of curled in and these curls last so so long. I swear you can wear this for two or three days: go ahead and curl the rest of my hair, using the methods that I showed you so that all of my curls blend nicely together. So this is what my hair looks like with all of the different curls in my hair. I think it's so much fun and it has so much texture. Obviously I wouldn't do this if I were to actually curl my hair, because it would just take me forever to use all the curling methods that I showed, but for the purpose of this video, I really hope that the methods that I showed you will help you Out - and I hope that I included enough variety in terms of heatless, hairstyles and hairstyles that you can do with heat and by the way, if you guys were interested in my makeup look, this is my everyday makeup. Look. I do have a tutorial up on my beauty channel on this look right here. All I did was swap the lip color to go with the outfit that I'm wearing today, but everything else is exactly the same. So if you do want to check that out I'll leave a link in the cards above, so you can check that out at the end of this video.
