How'S, your style, thin, wavy hair is the topic of today's video. So when it comes to different hair types right, as I mentioned before, people who have thin hair is maybe different than if you have fine hair. You can have a lot of hair, but the texture itself. The individual strand, is very, very fine now, when you think about thin hair and it being a wavy you're up against two different challenges, because hair wants to naturally kind of fall down like this right. It wants a split it wants to do its own thing and by having longer hair, that's already weighing it down and then by the hair being wavy, that is creating separation in the hair. So it's hard to really cover up what's going on, so you have a lot of challenges. So my best advice is, you know you just stay away from certain types of products. So if you've got hair this long right and you want to be wavy - you want to keep it kind of enhanced that wave. You know. The last thing you want to do is have the hair very, very wet, because what the hair does when it's wet is. It has a tendency to make it look even thinner, and you can actually see the scalp a bit more, especially if you're losing your hair or thinning, and you have some wave to it. So, by using a product, that's gon na enhance that kind of wet, look or something that's very, very shiny or greasy. You want to stay away from those types of products, because that's gon na it's not gon na, really be good for your hair type. As far as the way it looks, it's gon na create more separation, it's gon na make it look even more wet and then once it starts, looking greasy on kind of more thinner, hair and it starts waving, it's just gon na be a mess. Alright, so be very, very careful careful with the products that you use. What I suggest doing is, after you, wash your hair, maybe lately towels right and then use something like a sea salt spray like made my product, tidal, wave. Alright, now a tidal wave aside from its smelling phenomenal it's a great spray because as it dries, it has kind of that each gritty texture. Now I grew up having you know, finer hair at some point and then it eventually started fitting. But when I was younger, I had such really really thick hair, but the the strands itself were very fine, but I loved my hair, the most when I got out of the ocean. So sea salt has a tendency or this type of sea. Salt spray has a tendency to give the hair a gritty texture that is more of a matte type finish, and it actually swells the hair, the hair strand to appear thicker. So you want to use stuff like that. It'S gon na pull the hair together and make it bind together rather than separating the strands, because that's gon na make it look thinner, especially if it's wavy wants to do its own thing anyway. So you're better off using something like a sea salt spray to help control that curl on that wave in that texture. Also, a great product is something like my product, talc or a powder that, once your hair is dry fully dry. What you would then do is dab the product on dab the powder on, and what you're going to do is then work the product in and scrunch at the curl. What the powder is going to do it's going to actually pull the hair together. To give it a bit more volume and more of a matte finish, and that's gon na help the hair see what it's already doing. It'S giving some lift already. What that's gon na do. It'S gon na help keep the hair looking thicker and it's gon na help prevent it from getting oily, because the last thing you want on longer or wavy, fine hair, is it to look thinner. You want to be more voluminous. Last but not least, when it comes to the actual haircut itself, you want to avoid having very very long hair. That'S not layered, because what's gon na happen, it's gon na look like this and if you've got very thin hair, then it's just gon na make it even worse, because when the hair is heavy and it's weighed down, it just wants to do this and split and Lay flat so imagine I look like this with the hair being very, very thin. It'S not going to be ideal, so what you need to do is you need to make sure you have some layers in your hair and what that's going to do when it comes to to wavy hair, it's gon na actually create and allow for more texture in The hair and more fullness, so texture, sometimes people think, is that gon na thin out the hair or more well. Let'S just say it's gon na give it more fullness if it's layered properly right. Lessons are looking for texture we're looking for fullness, because the hair is thin and we want to camouflage those thinning areas by making the hair appear fuller. So that's how you're going to do that with the product and with the right haircut, I'm also doing a discount code for my products March. Madness. 15! That'S the discount code! Jason L: Just used coupon code for my third bottle of tidal wave. I have been needing to order. I am almost out and cannot live without it. I have semi-thin and coarse hair. As seen in my profile pic. Also slightly receding on one side. I've raved about it before in the comments but it truly was a game changer for my hair's thickness, body, and it holds style well. Thanks!!!

Genetic Thrash: Thank you , I have been struggling with my hair to make it look proper and my type is almost the same , I am growing it out and hopefully your tips will do the trick !

Victoria Tafolla: This is so helpful. I had gotten sick with COVID in July and I am experiencing lots of hair fall, and I usually have thick hair. My hairline is thinning and though I am taking vitamins, supplements, and working out to help my body recover, it has been hard to style my hair for when I have to work in the office. Thank you for being direct, insightful, and offering solutions instead of the many other videos I have watched from other people… Until my hair recovers I’ll have to try sea salt spray.

Terri Eplen-Kleen: This is good information!! Since I’m getting older, I’ve noticed a section of my hair getting “wavy/kinky” on the right side of my head. Upper crown area. I may need to try out other products (like yours) to clam that area down.

anairo5341: I'm a girl and this is the most useful video I've watched so far about this kind of hair. I still need to beg my hair dresser (and all the others before this one) not to fill my hair with oily products or foam and to try and get them to understand I need my hair to be kinda short and layered because otherwise it will be a pain for it not to flatten out even more, especially at the top, which is something I totally hate D': Thanks!

CloneArmy: Finally!! Thanks for this video. I have long, wavy, thin hair. It can be a pain. I've tried several products. I've had the most success with sea salt spray, and a volume spray. I've also tried a gel. What do you think about gels and volume sprays?

Martin Garcia Caro: I've bought a sea salt spray bottle yesterday, it's one of the best products I've tried for my thin wavy hair. Thanks man!

May Shariff: This is very helpful really! I used baby powder once cz I was really late and didn't have the time to wash my hair, it was epic I really loved the result, but I don't think it's healthy to use it frequently tho I also cut my hair using one of your videos and I loved it ❤️

GoonerBurns: i've tried using volumising shampoo, sea salt spray, blow drying and then vo5 powder and although it does hold my hair in place, if anything it makes my hair almost look even thinner at the front. i don't wash my hair too often and i even tried not using conditioner this time (as that may help with giving volume, not being weighed down etc). i think it could just be because i need a haircut badly but would be nice to find a solution for the next month of lockdown..

Aziz S: Hi Steven ... i hate my wavy hair , so I always blow drying to make it straight , is that damaging my hair over time ? Thank you

Zaker: thats similar to my hair type and its really difficult to let it grow, it goes crazy every morning. (Hi from spain)

USERNAME1990: The problem is my hair is thin, curly and frizzy.. so one wrong moves, the bald area’s gonna showed up ;)

Pia Wartsback: will it make the hairline too high or depending on the style/ cut that makes a hairline growth too high ?

Bape Matt: Should’ve seen this one year ago. Been struggling with my hair sm. Feel like our hair is rare

Anna Burns: as long as I have searched on youtube for help with my baby fine wavy hair, (which I have lots of strands but it's so thin, and way too soft), and I never saw your site until today! My hair is impossible and frustrating! I like your products. When it's time for me to restock I will be checking out your website. Thanks much!

Crewas Gaming: Is it recommended to use a sculpting paste to have the same look?

Cristian Macias: I have this type of hair now the problem is the back side of my hair it just looks so frizzy and unhealthy compared to my top :/

Kabir: That's absolutely worth it! ..✨

Iliana Ortiz: Ugh....again I need you to give me layers in the front of my hair bc the different hairstylists I go to never listen!!☹️

OPUS Digital Audio: The best thing to do is get highlights and trilights. This makes it look much thicker, dimensional and the scalp then becomes almost like another layer of hair and looks the best.
