Hollywood makeup maestro Ern Westmore returns with a 1960's guide to creating the perfect oval face shape, no matter what your shape is.

"As you know, the oval face shape has been declared the ideal of feminine beauty by artists who portray it in marble, words or music. Now if yours is not the oval shape, don't despair.

With the magic of corrective hair styling, we can create the illusion of the oval face by following the rules for each face shape."

Hello there, as you know, the oval face is always being declared the ideal of all feminine beauty by the artists who portray it with marble words or music. Now, if yours is not the oval shape, don't despair because, with the magic of corrective hair styling, we can create the illusion of Ovilus by employing the basic hair styling rules for each shaped face. Now, if yours is the oval face, here's some hair, styling, do's and don'ts, don't part your hair too low on the side and don't draw it back too tight at the temples. Here we see the oval face, enhance by addressing the hair, soft and full on the sides with a center parting. Here we see the don'ts for miss round face, don't exaggerate its roundness like this or with small flat curls and don't wear bang. The aim here was to create the illusion of length, so we dressed her hair, full and soft above the ears with a side parting and a dip on her foreign to minimize the roundness. This is Miss square face who should never wear her hair flat on top and pulled back at the temples or with bangs, because these lines broaden her square jawline. Here'S miss square face with the correct hairstyle, which has slimmed and softer features by using a side parting and dressing, her hair, softly curled below the ears. As you can see, we've diminished the breadth of her jawline. This oblong face, needs foreshortening and to do it, don't wear your hair, piled high on top or use a center parting and don't pull it back at the sides now to force shorten and create this illusion of width in Miss oblong space. We used a side parting and dressed her hair flat on top with the fullness just above and below her ears. Now don't emphasize the triangle hair outline by piling your hair on the top of your head or by dressing it too low and full of the jawline. As you can see here, we've corrected miss triangles problem using a side parting and dressed the fullness just above the ears, with the fart fully exposed to create the illusion of more openness. Now there is no reason in the world why any woman should look like this. Went through nothing more than applying the simple rules of correct makeup and hairstyling, she could look like this and prove again: there isn't a woman in the world who can't become more beautiful,

Videos with Doggo: I have a square face and miss square face actually looked really cute with her bangs

Dominique: Face shapes aside, these women are seriously stunning.

Tallulah Foxx: “There is no reason in the world, why any woman should look like this” I actually choked on my tea Why she didn’t stand up and tell him to piss off, I don’t know ‍♀️

Gabble: yo but why do these women rock both the "wrong" and "correct" hairstyles

AJ: I love vintage hairstyles. These ladies are beautiful❤️

The Matadore: As someone with an “oval-shape” I disagree that it’s the “ideal”. So many of my friends are far more beautiful without having an oval shape. There is no ideal, it’s a lie. All faces have beauty regardless of what shape the face is. The advice is great but I don’t like that we have established a false hierarchy of what is more beautiful. To me it’s like saying “this race is more desirable because you can match more colors to its skin tone”. It’s bull.

Keychain696: One thing I sort of wouldn't appreciate being called is Ms. Square Face. Just sayin'

Kathy Aay Beauty & Lifestyle: a early "filter"...the correct hairstyles were lit much brighter to give the illusion of "better". Loved this. Good advice actually!

joanne kerr: It's quite amazing how a small change in hairstyle can create such a difference in looks - thank you.

Ed Sanchez: Thank you, Glam. Love these classic advice bits. I’ve always considered advice pieces as merely information to be digested rather than opinion to be agreed or disagreed with. Fashion and Style are ever moving social constructs and what’s “in” this year is “out” next, so who can say what is right or wrong, good or bad. I would advocate people do what makes them feel comfortable and confident in demonstrating the best of themselves in every facet of life. If they wish to entertain the notion of sharing their life with a partner, that partner will need the best of them so that they can accept them, not despite their flaws, but inclusive of them. Cultivating and curating the best of yourself is likely to see the lesser things diminish and make your remaining flaws seem endearing to those that have experienced the very best of you. Looking forward to your next.

Sul Sul: I love how short those films are, not like today YT videos at least 10:01 with less knowledge than in this film.

7Nine7: I AM MRS SQUARFACE AND I WILL DIE WITH MY BANGS! Not gonna lie; I prefer most of the first styles. Those "harsh" lines gave most of them such an awesome Boss look :)

ministekkie: I guess that a different hairstyle might change your appearance, but take a good look at what they are wearing: the women with the round or square faces first wearing a turtle neck and after their hairdo a v-neck making their faces “look longer” and the ones with the longer faces vice versa. Nice video though!

Fani Esta: Square jaw line are the it thing now, oval not so much. Times a change.

Raf Warner: They are so beautiful ❤️

Ms.Treecey Treecey: I'm Ms. OVAL FACE and pull my hair back into a ponytail whenever I can. I just started wearing wigs and cut long bangs to the jawline on my wig I made. I made a triangle parting and razored them bangs out.

Ericat: Ok so at the end that's just... No. She looked naturally beautiful. Really! I thought she was prettier not all done up. But that's just me

Roxanne: Am I the only person who thinks the do's more often look worse than the don'ts? So glad society has evolved.

Rectum Ralph: Please cast yr votes. Ms. Oval Face Ms. Round Face Ms. Square Face Ms. Rectangle Face Ms. Oblong Face Ms. Triangle Face Ms. Pentangle Face Ms. Star Face Ms. Diamond Face Ms. Octagon Face Beuaty comes in so many different forms! Do your best, thank you.

tanvi patil: Me watching all these grooming videos slouching and haven't washed my hair since weeks...

ll l: The fact that it’s a man telling women what to and what not to do then men say women are the ones who put pressure on themselves

mgmy ch: the round head looks squared

Venussoldier92: The shade he threw @2:24 at her lmao

Jade Franco: dude i legit got this whilst i was cutting curtain bangs

Chezamoonangel AiEmma: Even with all these face shapes, I still don't know what shape of face so have ahhhh.... Perfect way to rip a person apart then build them back up again just try to live and be happy with you and forget what others think please... But love to see these videos I do get good tips for self care for me but take it with a grain of salt

twofivechicken: This is the 60s? I thought it was more the 50s. I was way off lol

Reira D: Does anyone know if this channel has videos related to those of color or know any other channels of the such?

fkjsgyfd: I think he made everything worse :D The original styles looked better in my opinion

Still GlamorUs: Mrs Round Face Mrs Square face MRS... lol

Ari 8: The oblong lady's first hairstyle was better for her face.

Lee A: Beautiful ladies

AnnaLiisa: All the recommended hairstyles look the same to me ‍♀️

Róisín Grant: Miss Oblong is giving Joan Crawford and I'm here for it

Groesbecks Grow : I am laughing so hard. This is sooo offensive hahahaha

littlepinkskeleton: This is interesting to watch, but I feel like this face shape stuff is all rubbish. They all looked good both ways.

Alexandra and dolls: Thay are beautiful love hair

Trini S: "miss round face" This video sponsored by Bakugou Katsuki

ocha: How come these videos always have men telling us what to do and what not to do?

Mable Kay: Entertaining

CCaffie: 1:18 ok but like bangs this blunt don't really work with anyone

Taylor Tot: Ms. Triangle is hot

Marissa Bones: I'm not sure what face I have

Cannibal Creep: Mansplaining women's hair, how lucky they were.
