Oh, I feel like I'm at a slumber. Party. We just don't have on pajamas.. This is The Beauty Lounge where we learn hacks so easy. You can do them lying down., hey everyone, it's Denise, Bidot and welcome to today's episode of The Beauty Lounge, where we learn the most amazing lazy girl, beauty hacks from some of our favorites.. Today we have Kahh Spence over here about to teach us.. He is a celebrity hair, stylist extraordinaire, who does everyone from cardi B to Kalani, and today he's gon na teach us lazy, girl, ponytail, hack., So cool., Ah, Alright, so welcome. You literally just flew off the plane and came over to hang out with us.. So, thank you very much. You just did the iHeartRadio Music Awards with Kehlani., So I wan na know like what it's like working with her first of all. And like what kind of things you play around with with hair, how you use that to express each girl's character. ..., You know with Kehlani, I opted for what Cardi did yesterday. That'S what I wanted to do, one Kehlani all week. and then the day of she came to me and she said I don't want to do this. I was like and I was like no like. I didn't prepare for anything else, and so we just like made it happen, And then we started with one thing and then went to the dress rehearsal and she said I don't like to see that and then I was like. We have literally maybe like 30 minutes to get you ready, there's no time, you won't make it to the red carpet.. So I was like you know what let me not panic. No pressure., No pressure. created a quick ponytail and we got it together. Holy crap And speaking of that ponytail .... I'M really excited that. I get to get a quick ponytail today, So without further ado, let's get this pony started So first, what I started by doing was I went in by the ears and I parted halfway through the hair, across. Okay.. It doesn't have to be perfect at first because this'll be the trick. And then you can even take this side and go in with your hands. If say you don't have any combs handy.? Oh Then you want to separate it into two different sections.. This is what made it a little quicker for. Us. actually had an assistant, that's what also made it quicker too., So I separated it here.. Luckily, your hair is longer than Kehlani's.. Is it Yeah? It is really short. Took some water. Sprayed it on this side. And then took a little more water. And then take your comb ... And comb upwards. And same thing on this side.. But you still want to be gentle.. You don't want to like hurt anyone.. It could be done quick without and soft, without losing quality. So that's good.. She did messy so .... This is the front half. Created this ponytail.. Oh, I feel like I'm at a slumber. Party.. We just don't have on pajamas. Nothing close to it., So here's this. Take some hair out right here, give a little texture. And take a little of this gel Oopsies. That sounds weird.. Take a little of this gel and brush it upward. Or comb it.. Whatever you have in your hands. On both sides., It's so funny. This is literally how quick it took. Yesterday., Really, That's so crazy because we always just assume that, like those artists take 10,000 hours to get ready, especially with the pony. Okay, so this is ponytail number one., Almost like a half up. Like a real tight half up Right. A really tight, half-up. I'll hold Her up. There we go. I'll, be your assistant., And so what I did was I ended up. Bringing this into this ponytail. Then we're gon na comb. It up., I'm gon na, add a little water just so you can lay down just a little more.. You should always keep a water bottle. Handy., You actually don't need a ton of product to do things like this., Like water is probably ... Water, maybe like a little gel. A little holding spray is probably the trick.. Do you find that certain brushes are better? The brushes do play into it. Some people recommend using a brush like this. Some people recommend using more of a brush with wider bristles.. Now it's like the perfection part. So trying to make sure like every little hair is up.. We were going for more of like ... High fashion, with a little like glam, so there was definitely some distressed pieces in the back. A little more rock and roll.. I love a little texture., And so we are almost done connecting these two ponies.. You want to take some hair from the back. Take a longer piece. If you can., Then wrap it around ..., The elastic band, so that you don't see that. And to cover that up. I usually take a little gel over it.. Oh you do., And then I use this to add just a little texture to it, And then we were done.. Oh my word, I'm so excited That was like really quick actually.. You impressed me big-time on, like so many different things there.. How long did I take? It was like five minutes. That was .... That was literally like no time.. You guys.
