Hi I'm T Cooper, I'm a New York City, makeup, artist, hairstylist and co-founder of beauty and grooming company Metro. Look a question I was recently asked was: what's a cool hairstyle for motorcycle riding with long hair, so my models got. You know kind of long. Here it's a little beyond shoulder length and with motorcycle riding, though you don't really want your hair to out, but it's going to blowing all over the place. So I say the best thing to do is like a cool variation of a ponytail, so I figure the best way to have a really cool, ponytail and add some style to it is to incorporate braids. So this is what we're going to do. Gon na turn to the side, so you can kind of see what I'm doing. I'M going to section off some hair from in front of the ears going on back and then what I'm going to do is just going to clip it just to keep it out of the way, the hair that I'm not going to use. And then, what I'm going to do is I'm going to do a Dutch braid going back and a Dutch braid is when you do it over? Can you tilt your head back a little bit for me? Thank you. So then, you just incorporate the hair on the sides and you braid going over and you keep doing that till you're out of hair, going over a little bit from the side braid a little bit from this side. Braid you just keep going so you've used up. All the hair in the section that you've created and then when you get all out of hair in this section you just braid as normal typical three strand braid. Let'S go all the way down and you can either seal off the bottom with a clear elastic or you can spray it and tease it depending on what you prefer to do. I'M gon na opt for a clear elastics today, okay to the bottom, let me go grab a trusty, clear elastic, I'm just going to band off the bottom of the hair with us go over it as many times as you need to in order to make sure It'S going to stay, put I'm going to do the same thing on the other side, just section off some hair. What you want to put in the braid, all the head is you're not going to utilize. You just clip it out of the way just so that you don't pick up any then pack for me and just touch braids all the way to get to the bottom of the section, then we're just going to braid normally so maybe about one inch from the Bottom there we go just keep on braiding how fast to slow you braid doesn't matter. You just need to make sure you get a consistent, very going, fill it off with a band. Now we're going to put all this hair into a ponytail. I like using these bungees for my ponytails, but you don't have to use that if you don't want to show all the hair. Besides, the braid goes into this ponytail and you want to put start the ponytail up by where your braids end so bungee. So much cooler because you just pretty much hook it in the hair, wrap it around and then hook it again BAM. So you take these braids and you wrap them around the ponytail that you created just to dress it up, and then you pin it in place and you're done so cool. That is nice little rocker variation of a ponytail, and it doesn't take very long at all. I'M tee Cooper and thank you for watching you

Dani Grall: 1. I'm not spending more than 5 minutes on my hair when I go to ride.  2. No state legal helmet is going to fit over that high of a pony tail. 3. How hard do you really think this is going to be for someone on their own? This is so stupid!

Raven Carroll: Beautiful But I would like to see a hairstyle that will hold up at 120 mph. Love to see what u come up with!

Maria Coulter: definitely cant wear anything that isnt flat to the head under a helmet or you get pressure pain and a headache. need a hairdo that works at the nape of the neck that dosnt itch or get sweaty. i think the hairdo for a helmet needs to incorporate a scarf tie somehow.

Tilly Jean: yeah i'd like to see a helmet on that

Ejnorrisxx: I agree, I ride a mo Ped and you can't have a high pony tail because your helmet doesn't fit over it. You need like a low bun, or a plat and hide it under your jacket....

Thao Tu: Cute style but someone should've tested this hairstyle under a helmet before posting this. Especially a full face helmet. It's good to advocate for full face helmets too.

Cha Cha: How is this going to protect the hair you didn't put in a braid and this won't fit under any helmet. Maybe you should do try one on before you make a tutorial for a helmet style.

Laura England: Ah, yeah, can't wear a high ponytail under a helmet....duh!

Michelle Moxie: Yea that's not going to work under any helmet and the fact it takes too long and, I can only imagine how brutal it would be to have the bobbing pins so close to your head if you suddenly crash and it uses too many hair accessories.

Láralyn Mowers: I was waiting for the *low ponytail* or something a helmet would fit over.

The Great Steve: The victim didn't look very happy.

Kara: yea...i dont think you can wear a high ponytail under a helmet either.

Oregon Orofacial LLC: Ouch. My helmet would drive those pins right into my head.

Debbie Jeffries: this would never work as you can't get a high ponytail under a motorcycle helmut

Tabetha: I dont suggest braids personally it pulls on the head to much and creates to much of a space between the helmet and the head

Tiffany: But how do you fit a ponytail under a helmet? You don't....cute hair style, but shouldn't be put out there as. A "motorcycle" hairstyle. Not to mention that ponytail would be a rats nest even if you don't wear a helmet.

Vonda MacFarlane: The hair in the pony is going to get MASSIVELY tangled

Kimberly Miller: That would be painful…..plus the pressure from the helmet on the braid no thank you. I have long hair down to my waist I make a low ponytail and use hair bands all the way down.

Just Miller: I am about 4 years late on this... but a ponytail with helmet or not sucks, and Bobby pins? Lol I'd be hitting the guys behind me and chipping car windshields! Them babies fly!! Anyway, I fishtail braid pony's into my hair and I make sure they are tight when first doing them. Let them set til I am starting my bike and getting my mojo... then I slowly loosen them. As the day goes on I can continue to loosen without losing the integrity and purpose of the braid!

n anonymous: Im just trying to find a do able hairstyle to ride a motorcycle damn

Vivian 412: How about one that goes in a helmet? Cute tho

Kid Seville: Cool style but alot.of hair to put under a helmet isn't it. I would loke to know if there a product I could use so i don't have to ponytail or so braids. Fyi male with hair to middle of back and get tired of braids and ponytails all the time. And not cutting it. If anyone has input would gladly take

Samantha-rose Dupuis: Definitely wouldn't work to ride with a motorcycle at all. Your helmet wouldn't fit over it at all.

nic Johnson: how do u wear a helmet with that. not possible

Sara Aubery: Great except you can't fit a helmet over it ;|

Indiekixx: Pretty sure she doesn't ride based on this hairstyle.... Definitely wouldn't fit in my helmet....

Danika: She looks amazing but you won't wear a helmer with that...

Dewese Milstead: poytail is too high and the hair is still going to tangle. Sorry.

asdeaff: all hidden under the now obligatory crash helmet

Mjollnir: Uh helmet?

ifyouknow youknow: D U M B
